I've been shopping at this fruit stand for years because I enjoy supporting local businesses, but…read moreunfortunately I had a disappointing experience on my recent visit. I purchased a $28 peach basket that was advertised as a fill-your-own basket. After I filled the basket with peaches, an employee told me it was "too high" and removed several peaches without asking me first. What bothered me most was not the policy itself, but the way it was handled. If there is a limit to how full the basket can be, I would have appreciated that being explained before I filled it, or at least being asked whether I still wanted to purchase the basket after peaches were removed. I ended up paying the full $28 for significantly fewer peaches than I had originally selected. I understand that costs have gone up and that businesses need to set limits, but clear communication and good customer service go a long way. I've enjoyed shopping here for years, which is why this experience was especially disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve communication with customers in the future.
