The fruits and vegetables are sucks! No flavors! GMO and pesticides. And That old guy had overcharged people's card and being rude to customers. Don't go there!!!

So many types of apples and pairs - where do you start?

Pettingills is one the most festive places along the Wasatch. Especially now. Wall to wall Halloween. I love that most of what's here is locally grown! You can taste several different types of peaches, melons or seasonal produce. I've never been turned down. Mr. Pettingill is usually around and always has great recommendations. Right now their squash, peppers and gourd selection is insane. So much compared to the other Stand across Willard and Perry. I love that they provide local, small-batch products like jams, syrups and vinegars made across the Front too. There's cider donuts from Santaquin, squeaky cheese from Gossner's Dairy. What does this place not have? Heads up! This weekend Pettingills is roasting "Hatch Chilis!! (This is a thing...honestly I've been asked a lot about this)

Family owned and operated, great local produce, and a variety of other service including sandwiches, shakes, local collaborations with bread artisans and food trucks makes this a great stop if you are up in northern Utah / Box Elder County. It is right off of the I15 freeway in Willard. If you are looking for a cool local vibe, worth checking out! Only downside is it is busy, but is that really a bad thing. LOL!

    Amazing peach shake!!!!!

Their peach shakes are amazing!!!!! By far, the best I've ever had and perfect for a warm, sunny day! I'd come here for the shakes alone, but they wouldn't be possible without their excellent fruit. Definitely worth the drive!

We almost always go to Pettinglls. Good selection, helpful and pleasant staff. Comparable pricing.

However, much of the products that our local grocers stock may also carry implications of poor farming practices. So, we try to shop local, both to ensure peak freshness and the highest ethical standard we can. Better Food Farm is a local, Ogden-based family farm using organic practices. We were lucky to try a large haul of a variety of their leafy greens (including herbs, spinach, red leaf lettuce, salad spring mix, spring onions, bok choy, and the most vibrant gorgeous radishes you've ever seen) this past week. If you think you won't be able to taste the difference between their spring mix and the kind in the plastic clamshells you get at the store, you'll be in for a serious surprise. Everything was incredibly flavorful. Also, there's something about fresh radishes that "conventionally" grown radishes can never live up to (I put conventional in quotes because, well, according to history, modern growing practices are anything but conventional). I swear you can taste all the passion and care this family puts into their produce. In speaking with the family behind this little farm, they're going to be at the Salt Lake City Farmers Market so I recommend that you look for them there.

I'm currently obsessed with these turnips. They are juicy... sweet... buttery? Yup. Buttery. Careful, you might have a hard time going to the grocery produce section after this.

They had a ginormous chair we could take photos in, so we took full advantage of that :) This little store is chuck full of food and items made locally. They have produce, candy, ice cream, soda, beer, lotions, coffee, dog treats, decor and everything in between. In the back they have a vending machine where you can buy Bingham Custom Meats bacon bombs. We haven't used it yet, but it looks so awesome! The employee there was a rockstar! She helped us figure out our candy bouquets and made them look awesome! The kids absolutely loved them and I think we're going to need to do this again. Maybe the husband and I will get one for ourselves too next time.

This place has so much to offer! We didn't realize how much or we would have gotten here earlier!…read more I have been wanting to check this place out since shortly after we moved to Utah. It looks like such a beautiful place to walk around and it's free! From tree carvings, wildflowers and historic tours. We came for the wonderful Sunday Farmer's Market and there were so many amazing vendors with so many yummy samples! My favorite was the Mediterranean Hummus vendor. So many selections to choose from! Because of the hummus purchase we had to book it out and get it home and chilled! They had fresh meat, eggs, breads, jellies, salsas, and of course tons of produce from different Utah produce farms. It's very busy and you may have to park in the neighborhood surrounding the farm on Sundays. It's quite popular!!!! I loved the old historic buildings some dating back to the early 1900's. There's plenty of animals to check out from horses, to cows, pigs, sheep, goats, roosters, peacocks and a sheep. There's a small country store onsite as well. They have tractor and wagon rides. Some of the most beautiful wood flowers growing, a small creek runs through the property and there are several trails which I look forward to exploring on our next trip. I'm also excited to watch a lesson on cow milking! It's truly a beautiful spot to visit, and if you are interested I'd suggest bringing a blanket and some lunch and sitting under the shady trees and enjoying the magnificent things this working farm has to offer.

I love taking our dogs to see the "exotic" animals. Behind the activity barn is garden entirely worked on by volunteers in the Master Gardener program.
