We entered to a super knowledgeable and helpful man. He solved my quickly unraveled hubby's line that ruined his day. Boom good and gold. I originally planned to stop at my favorite place in Rehoboth Beach, but when I called in advance to place the order, I learned the the shop was closed this week so their family could travel. Unfortunately, DeMaria's didn't have any blue claws, because according to the owner/manager, her brother didn't set the traps in Chesapeake Bay to catch them. Too bad, because I probably would have taken their entire catch. But, I learned on my trip home that the three other crab shacks I stopped at on Delmarva were all closed on Monday, if not Tuesday as well. My crab karma just wasn't working. I accepted my fate with a smile, knowing both I and those beautiful Blues would live to enjoy another day.

Bottled sodas are $1.60. Canned sodas are 80¢. Bottled water is $1.00. I've never had a bad experience here. The food has always been good, and people who come here seem to love it. The customer service is friendly, especially the lady who works the counter. During my last visit, they had run out of a couple of items I wanted, so she gave me a complimentary crab egg roll to try. I appreciated the gesture, although the crab egg roll was just okay in my opinion. The dining area is simple and nothing fancy, but it's clean. They also have an open kitchen window where you can see the food being prepared, and everything looked clean from what I could see. The only thing that stood out to me was that the fans outside could use a good cleaning. They're open Monday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and are closed on Sundays. They're conveniently located across the street from the fire station, with buses stopping nearby. It lacked some distinctive flavor but maybe because it's summer I wasn't really in the mood for soup. Lastly the fried shrimp dinner was yummy. Good sized shrimp cooked perfectly. French fries were good. Hush puppies were majorly disappointing. They were cold and chewy. They tasted old. Hush puppies have to be hot and crispy, otherwise don't serve them, but that's my opinion. Overall It's a good spot to get some fried seafood or fresh.

I went there to purchase three fish dinners and decided to order two crab cakes to try something different. Unfortunately, the crab cakes were absolutely disgusting. I called the restaurant to let them know about my experience, and I specifically told them that I wasn't asking for a refund. I simply wanted to use the $14 I spent toward something else in the future. I still had the crab cakes and was willing to bring them back. Instead, I was told that they use their own grease to cook them and that the owner said I could not bring them back or receive any credit. What really disappointed me was the lack of customer service. They would rather lose a loyal customer over $14 than try to make the situation right. I was going there three times a week, and every time I went, I was purchasing 3-4 dinners. I had even started recommending this restaurant to other people because I supported their business. But after this experience, they will no longer have my business, and I will not recommend them to anyone. Rollins and Graham on Armistead Avenue will have my business from now on. Customer service means a lot to me. It's not always about getting your money back--it's about how you treat your customers when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, this restaurant failed that test for me. I would think twice before spending your money here.

should be less than a 1%..rating...this business selling female crabs..that have not had the opportunity to grow..very..very..very..small..but selling them a bushel for 120.00..just to keep up with the competition...you should be ashame of yourself..and you only doing what you doing cause people are desperate...take notes from captain harrell's in poqouson...when you precent your product..it s/b always quality instead of quantity...i would have never bought a dog gone thing from you...desperate or not..i even told the person he was stupid fir the purchase..his reply was...i just wanted some crabs..cause capt. harrell's had ran out..if i knew how to put my pick on this review i would...u need to be put on blast...but trust n believe..it will be on my fb page..to show all my friends read more
