I love this restaurant. I love the crab cake, soft shell carb dinner. I just wish they serve wine.

All you can eat blue crabs on a Sunday what more can you ask for???? This past Sunday they had their all you can eat crabs event. They bring the crabs out on a tray and when you're ready for another round just let the waitress know. All of my crabs were meaty and good. They were not crowded it was a nice comfortable place. The special boom boom sauce is very tasty and a must try with your food. read more

So I have been coming in for years, the crabs are usually good but why when I paid for large crabs for 55$ I only get a small batch, from the servers mistake. Instead of trying to work with they've decided to allow the situation to become escalated. When I asked for a solution instead of them rushing to close. A credit for the next visit would of been nice, but instead all I heard was laughing in the background. Talk about customer service. SMH read more

Awesome fresh fish choices, reasonable prices, and great ladies behind the counter. Cool new painted murals on the outside of the building.

This business is what I imagine Crab Cakes a seafood store to be like !!! My favorite fish monger. Great selection and reasonably priced. Great people running this seafood shop too. read more

Horrible 12/24/2020 LAST TIME COMING HERE! They are extremely expensive. Some of the frozen food is not properly wrapped which causes freezer burn. The owner says hard shell seafood does not get freezer burn...lol With the exception of a few employees, customer service is basic at best. The owner comes off as rude and arrogant when you call to say something was wrong. Selling the same live lobster that you can get at Food Lion for $14.99. They are selling for $18.99. Sitting out on a table, not in a lobster tank! Then they had the same lobster tails that they had in the freezer for years thawing out in the lobby area on a table on sale for $18. 6 HEALTH VIOLATIONS IN LESS THEN 10 MIN. The seafood in the center leaks on the floor. Don't wear sandals. Pretty sure that's a health violation. Along with the OWNER NOT WEARING A MASK! Merry Xmas! read more

While living in Hampton, I did frequent this Seafood market occasionally. However, I move to Portsmouth about a year ago. As usual, During my birthday month I buy a bushel of crabs. I went shopping via phone and found that Graham and Rollins Hampton seafoods had the best deal at $120. I asked a young lady if she would please check to see if she has enough available because I was driving all the way from Portsmouth. She placed me on hold to check. She came back to the phone and stated that they had plenty in the back. So I hopped in my car and went over to Seafood Market. I was asked by one of the associates if they could help me. I then proceeded to tell him that I came to pick up a bushel of crabs for $120 and that I wanted to get them steamed. He then told me that they did not have a bushel for $120 but for over $200. I proceeded to tell him about the conversation that I had on the phone with one of his associates. The owner then got involved and made me feel very small. I then said to him, " you didn't even ask any of the women if they spoke with me." He said he didn't have to because they would not have given me that price. The young lady who gave me the price would not even speak up just to say she made an error. I did recognize her voice and all she would say is I've been talking to people all day. First of all, it was within the last hour before I came and second of all at 63 years of age, my memory is fairly good. She just didn't want to tell the truth. I have worked and have paid for everything all of my life. I'm pretty sure this was an honest mistake however shame on the owner for not offering an apology and shame on the young lady for not being woman enough to admit she made a mistake. My point! Not everyone is a thief and in addition, kindness and an apology goes a long way. Mistakes happen. Just investigate and own it based on your findings. Its the people you employ that may be the dishonest ones. Especially if they would lie over something so small. A very disappointed and last time customer. read more

My wife and I was looking for a quick broiled crab cake. The hotel staff recommended this seafood market/restaurant. We ordered broiled crab cake, but was told the broiler was malfunctioning. ...so we ordered lightly fried crab cakes and was surprisingly pleased. They weren't all lump cakes, but they were so fresh tasting. We liked it so much, we went back the following day to try broiled cakes. This time they just gave us fried cakes, with no explanation. We didn't make a fuss, they were only $9 and were good! read more

I'm a Hampton native and found this place while searching for fried oysters. When I walked in the staff greeted me and the service was great. However, I was disappointed when I received my Super Combo. This combo comes with whiting, a crab cake, oysters, scallops, shrimp and two sides. The food lacked seasoning and was extremely bland. I had high hopes based on the reviews that I read before visiting. There's so much potential but the execution isn't there. read more

I did not get to eat here. I arrived at 6:30 (they close at 7) and waited to place my order and onceI I got to the front of the line was told no more orders are being taken, the owner is cleaning the fryer. We discovered Graham & Rollins this week through a Facebook post shared from their page. The post had a picture of a sandwich they were selling that day for a limited time. The sandwich that will now haunt my dreams as the best sandwich I've ever eaten in my life. This sandwich was made of a crabcake, lettuce, tomato, bacon, and a whole softshell crab stacked together on delicious bun. The sandwich was a monster but we knew we had to try it. And it did not disappoint. When my husband arrived to grab the food he raved about what an awesome spot it was. We don't live in Hampton so we traveled to get this amazing sandwich and we will definitely make the journey again for other menu items. The folks were friendly and the seafood was on point! I wish I had a picture to share but that sandwich went fast. It was absolutely, without a doubt, the BEST softshell crab I've ever eaten. If you're in the area go check them out! Trust me, it's worth it! read more

Hello this is for the owner. I buy crabs every Saturday with you. This Saturday Nov 26 was the first time I had the dirtiest crabs with brown meat since I ve been coming to you. I purchased a half bushel large and they all were horrible. This is an isolated incident but where ever you purchased you may wanna consider a different distributor. Prior to this Graham and Rollins has the best supply of blue crabs. read more

Customer service was wonderful. Hush puppies are fantastic. Food was ehhhh....can't say best I've ever had and can't say the worst. They made an effort to make things right which is nice. Overall, I'd only go back for the market side. read more

Fried snapper dinner was the worse ever. Thank goodness I broke it open to look inside instead of biting it because The rank smell stopped me from eating it. Old, brown and very fishy smelling. Probably a parasite. This place should not be open for business. The community deserves better. Collards still had hard stock stems attached. Simply disgusting. read more

If you are looking for fresh seafood in a "crab shack" setting, this is the place! Delicious soft shell crab, hush puppies, slaw and more. It's not about ambiance here. It's all about the food. Service was great and seafood was priced fair! Recommend going here to buy blue crabs! Will come here again!

i hate to give any establishment a bad review but here i go. this is my go to place for fresh seafood. been coming here for years. i have to fight the tunnel traffic from the beach but usually its worth it. but today was horrible. both fresh and eat in. i spent $150.00 for seafood n $25. for eat-in. when i got home the 2 speckled trout, spots croakers and filet catfish were rotten. i mean rotten. the trout were pre cleaned before so i should have been more attentive to the inside. they were black inside. the spots smelled bad. and the croakers looked totally rotten. my whole kitchen smelled like rotten fish. really. i had to throw everything away in the garbage!! no use reporting it because i know i would not get a refund. i hope the neighborhood wont smell till garbage day wed. the $25.00 combo were hard fried n tough. the scallops were black and oysters were really not good. my worse experience i ever had from any seafood market. really. i definitely will not waste my time coming here again. i tell my friends this is the place to go for good seafood. no more. sorry. read more

Came here for the first time today, It was somewhat busy but not as bad as I'd expected for a holiday weekend, they had fresh selections of EVERYTHING, like really everything you could be looking for they had here fresh, frozen, fried, etc etc. It wasn't too clear on the order/shopping procedures so I went over to bag up my own crabs after seeing other patrons walk around with paper bags (the big brown kind for crabs) a guy ran over to help me and let me know that they do that for you lol, they were kind of busy so its not a big deal, apparently you're supposed to stand by the crabs and they'll come over...I found this out much later. My whole experience took about 30 minutes from the time I drove up till the time I drove off. The crabs I ordered were mostly on par with the size I requested, they have titan crabs which is supposedly a size up from jumbo, they were sold out when I got here but ive never seen/heard of anything beyond jumbo locally so I'll definitely have to come back to check them out. While waiting I noticed that they had plenty of fry batters, condiments and seafood utensils also which its great for saving an extra trip to the grocery store on the way home. Other customers who hadn't been here before and I chatted back and forth, it was pretty refreshing how kind and open patrons and the staffers were, normally people are to themselves and workers seem to not want to be there (not at this place but just in general) The only con I had during this visit was I was charged for something extra and I nor the cashier caught it, I ordered crabs and 4 condiments but I was charged for 5, the cashier was being very friendly and chatting with a coworker ( who helped me earlier) so I feel that it was just an oversight and won't take it in a bad way, I like that this place is close to a friends place that I visit somewhat often, I'll be back soon...and much earlier to get a look at those titan crabs! read more

Visiting the area, I stumbled upon this gem. I'm a lover of all things seafood and it was so close to my hotel I thought I would give it a try. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance, the food here is good. You can enter the restaurant side or the side to order fresh seafood therefore the seafood/fishy smell hit you as you opened the door. I ordered for a group so we shared the Cajun catfish fillets, scallops, oysters, shrimp, and broiled lump crab meat. We definitely were not disappointed. The seafood was fresh and fried perfectly. The service was good and pretty quick for the amount of food ordered. Prices were very reasonable. The only flaw were the sides. We ordered collard greens, slaw, potato salad, fries, and Mac and cheese. All were pretty bland. But hands down the seafood is worth the trip!! Don't forget to try their house special boom boom sauce. read more

I'm new to the Hampton Roads area and stumbled upon this place by accident. This place is incredible. One side is a fully functioning restaurant and the other sells fresh catch including fish and crabs. I have bought fish and shellfish from the store and everything was fresh. The employees were even able to help guide me in how to prepare the catch. The food was pretty solid. The crab cake was outstanding. I highly recommend this establishment! read more

The steamed crabs are amazing!! My family has been getting them from here for years. The one place in the area where they are consistently good. Today I ate on the restaurant side. I chose the pick 3 option: popcorn shrimp (get more than jumbo shrimp), catfish (one piece is two apparently), and 2 soft shell crabs. It comes with two sides: I chose mac (not the best) and collards (from the can). The meats were good but the popcorn shrimp tasted like what you'd find in the freezer aisle in the grocery store. Soft shells and catfish were good. 23.83 was total. If there was more of the sides it could feed a house of 3. I'll prob stick to the market side. The restuarant was ok. 3 stars because of the organization with being rang up (woman walked away 3 times before taking my money) and was quoted a different amount in person than on the phone when I placed the order. It's a busy spot but still all over the place read more

The food was freshly cooked and it was fresh seafood one problem that I did see when you go in make sure you ask a lot of questions, there was one section fresh seafood the other section was there a restaurant if you pick the type of seafood you want and then have them cook it there an additional price. 4 Scallops one small piece of conch three pieces of small fish $21 price is too high next time I know go to the restaurant unless I'm going to cook my seafood in my home. After sitting down eating the the fish and the scallops it looks really good but there was no seasoning whatsoever one and a half star and this is only what they cook for me the fish and the scallops but other than that the place is clean the fish or seafood was fresh read more

I've returned to this restaurant another 4 times and I still love the fried oysters and boom boom sauce most of all...that's what keeps bringing me back! I've tried the tuna salad sandwich twice and it has no texture and way too much sweet pickle juice. The gumbo however is definitely a hit! I tasted scallops and shrimp in there. It has a tasty gumbo file flavor. read more

Average. Prices are OK, but you get what you pay for. Food is served on styrofoam plates, plastic utensils, styrofoam cups for your drinks. The broiled trout fillet was very small, a few bones were expected, but the amount of scales on the fillet was ridiculous. The collard greens were good. A slight sweetness to them. The macaroni & cheese had an orangish gray color to it & the pasta was way over cooked. No flavor. It wasn't pretty to even look at. Coleslaw & potato salad were ok. The hushpuppies were good, a bit of sweetness to them. The worst she crab soup we have ever tasted ! I asked for some sherry to top it off w/ hoping that would help, awful. Must be the lowest quality made. Our waitress was extremely pleasant, constantly checking on us & cleaning up. We enjoyed her, but sadly will not be returning. read more
