I find their ice cream to be so-so. It's honestly nothing special, truth be told. I hadn't had it in forever. I sampled a few kinds of the ice creams and they really weren't all that different from each other. I settled on a cookie dough brownie sundae. It tasted fine--I've honestly had better from UDF on occasion. He had a cookie sandwich and he said he could taste that frozen "taste" to it. Around $6 for the sundae and $3 for the cookie ice cream sandwich. read more

Can't really say anything more about Graeter's that hasn't been said already. Ice cream is top notch and the workers here are really friendly. Good amount of seating inside and a nice outside area to relax in the summertime. There's a small lot outside for Peking, but it does share the lot with the other businesses in the plaza so it can fill up pretty quick. Street parking isn't bad around the area tho. read more

It can be kind of crowded and loud as a bar inside sometimes. There is seating outside in the front too. The young staff are friendly and helpful. I almost always only get the smoothies and I have not been disappointed. I sometimes get the sorbets...mmmm mango. I do wish the prices for the smoothies were like $1.00 cheaper. ::Slow clap:: I had an awesome customer-service experience at this Graeter's last week. I'm usually a Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams girl, but last week, I was craving good-ol'-fashioned ice cream cake, the kind with old-fashioned custardy ice cream and soft sponge cake underneath. Basically, I wanted something that was a big step up from Baskin Robbins or Carvel but not as gourmet or pricey as Jeni's. So off I went to Graeter's in Worthington. As I stared hungrily, and confusedly, at my eight (!) awesome flavor choices in the cake case, the nice gal behind the counter asked if I needed help selecting one. When I said yes, she handed me a handy info sheet about the various cakes, including details about the trims, cake flavors, etc. I told the girl that I was waffling between two different cakes (Mint Chip Truffle and Black Raspberry Chip, in case you wondered). The gal suggested, in a half-joking tone, that I buy both of them. I told her that I was buying just for me and my husband, so she suggested I buy two 1845 Tower sundaes, one with mint chip ice cream and the other with black raspberry chip ice cream. Since the 1845 Tower sundae has chocolate bundt cake on the bottom--"the same cake that's in the ice-cream cakes," she said--it would be like getting a little one-person ice-cream cake + whipped cream, hot fudge, etc. Well, that was a heckuva good idea, and it only cost me $12 for two BIG ice-cream sundaes. Without prompting, the employee wisely scooped the hot fudge into a separate container so that it wouldn't melt the sundaes on my drive home. I will definitely, 100% go back to this Graeter's location the next time I've got an ice-cream-cake craving! read more

By far the BEST ice cream ever!!! Definitely something i have to have every time I visit now! When I use to live here, I would frequent quite often. This location is very quaint and has lots of seating for everyone. My favorite is the Blackberry Chip!! It's purple with huge chucks of chocolate. I do have to say, sometimes the chocolate chucks are way to big. I prefer more ice cream then chocolate but it's the creamiest, best tasting ice cream I've ever had!! Seasonal favorites are the pumpkin which I have also been able to get! The coffee chip is also great for coffee lovers who want some chocolate chucks as well. It so sooo good. I wish they sold it everywhere! you don't want to miss it! read more

Graeter's is my favorite ice cream place. I love melty ice cream with strong flavors, and this fits the bill better than any I've had. (If you want ultra-thick shakes or soft-serve, this is not the place for you.) I've tried many of their flavors and my favorites are the double chocolate chip and the bourbon pecan chip. They also have an amazing spring-time seasonal strawberry chip. Graeter's is great too because they have old fashioned sodas made with vanilla ice cream, your choice of syrup and soda water. It is hard to find a place that still makes these, let alone phosphates, but they have those too! The price is higher than most ice cream shops, but they make it all in small batches, so it makes sense. (Check out the Bethel location for a history of the company and a tour of how the ice cream is made.) This location has a small lot that it shares with other businesses so it is sometimes hard to find a spot. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I ask for a super-chocolatey milkshake I am never disappointed. read more

I live in New York and there are very few grocery stores that carry Graeter's Ice Cream. I'm a big fan of chocolate raspberry flavor and was excited to try it here and am not disappointed. If you do not know, this is super premium ice cream and unlike store bough ice creams this isn't aerated to increase volume. Instead they use fat and you can feel the difference as the ice cream is so creamy and flavorful. Those big chocolate chunks are a delight as they just melt in your mouth. read more

Forget Jeni's. This is easily the best ice cream in Columbus. Better choices, and more moderately priced. I have never been disappointed by any Graeter's. The line is sometimes quite long on the weekends, but they move through it as fast as can be expected. And, it is definitely worth the wait. I must especially recommend their salted caramel and cheese crown flavors (although they might be seasonal flavors). I wish I could give zero stars because I tried to come get some ice cream with my friends after a fun night of painting since our teacher recommended we go since they would still be open for 20 more minutes. We tried to go and open the door which was locked, and the workers at first completely avoided eye contact with us and then eventually motioned us to leave even though their sign said they were still open. This is awful customer service and extremely rude behavior, I do not recommend this establishment read more

Oh, the memories this place brings back of my childhood in Worthington! My mom would take my sister and I to this place on a lazy afternoon as a summer treat. Upon walking in, the indescribable aroma foretells of the dairy perfection to come! The ice cream and cones are extremely fresh and the quality of the ingredients is unsurpassed. I have traveled to nearly every state in the country, as well as lived in about 8 different places nationwide. My family eats out a lot (mom doesn't cook lol) so I've tasted a lot of things, including ice cream. Hands down, Greater's has the best ice cream I have ever tasted in my life, and just the thought of it and it's friendly, quaint atmosphere fills me with nostalgia. read more
