My kids (ages 6 and 8) have attended camps during spring break and summer and they both LOVE it!…read moreThey offer small group, hands-on activities with different themes every week. The staff are all friendly and Ms. Idil who runs it is very knowledgeable and good with the kids. She even recognized that my son has a knack and love for math and offered to provide him some extra worksheets to keep his mind challenged during the summer months. Only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the camps are only from 9a-3p and I have to pay extra to be able to have them there from 8a-4p (and even that requires that my husband and I split drop-off and pick-up to accommodate our 8-hour work days). If I could give 4.5 stars, I would :-) (Note that I am not offering a review on their tutoring services, only the camps)

I completely agree with the prior review: my kids have not taken tutoring here but did attend camp…read more My 5yo and 6yo really enjoyed the camp and want to attend on the next break. I appreciate that the camps are fun and educational, and I also appreciate that the attendees are diverse. The camps are pricier than others in the area, but they also have a small student-to-staff ratio of 6:1 that I prefer. (I find that larger ratios mean that well-intentioned adults don't always know what all the kids are saying/doing and my little ones pick up habits that I don't like). I also echo the challenge with the camp hours: 8am-4pm (with an extra daily cost for this extended care rather than 9am-3pm standard hours) is tricky for working parents. Even though the hours aren't ideal, we'll be sending our kids here again.

Our goal was to give our kids access to great tutors to increase their chances of receiving merit…read morescholarships. Both of our kids were tutored by different instructors at Moser and both had a GREAT experience. Scott asked a lot of questions about each student to understand their disposition, the way they learn, how much pushing they needed to study, etc. They were matched with very different instructors and both were patient, respectful, and clear in their teaching. Going into the college prep season with our older student, we were all a bunch of nerves. However, during the tutoring process, we collectively relaxed because our son became confident in his abilities to take the tests effectively. Both of our kids' scores were impressive, much higher than before the tutoring. As it turned out, they both did receive merit scholarships at their desired universities. Even if they had not, I think the confidence it gave each of them was well worth the price.

My son improved his score 200 points from his PSAT. He went from a 1280 to a 1480. We are absolutely thrilled. Zack did a terrific job with my son, he was patient with just the right amount of pushing my teenage boy. We will definitely use Moser again for our second son.

We engaged Mike to assist with our high school daughter who is currently enrolled in Trigonometry…read more Up until recently she was always an "A" student, but was having an issue with the recent material. Mike spent the first session reviewing what she already knew to get a good understanding of where her core weaknesses were. He then went back a few chapters to review some of the core concepts he felt she was lacking before moving to the current material. This allowed her to gain a REAL understanding of the concepts instead of just practicing memorization. Mike also helped her develop better study habits and take better notes during lectures. I am happy to report that she got an A on her last exam! With her study habits corrected, Mike doesn't need to come by as often now, but we do still conduct regular appointments so that we are sure she is on track and to make sure her understanding is where it should be. We really like that he comes to our home and it works out great for our schedule as well as helping our daughter feel more comfortable. I can't imagine another tutor being any more professional or knowledgeable than Mike.

In our four sessions, my grade has already gone up 18 percent. Mike truly loves his job of spreading his immense knowledge of math. His fees are very reasonable for these high levels of math and is always on time. I plan studying with Mike as I go through high school math and I would really recommend him.
