You do have to find your people, but everyone have been supportive and very kind. As parents we've been extremely happy with how the teachers are shaping our kid. During a homecoming dance a previous student who was un enrolled from the school was going to pick up some friends from the dance and say hi to his other friends. This African student was then in my opinion racial profiled and discriminated towards by an older caucasian teacher. The teacher told his friends that he was picking up that they couldn't leave with him even though, they had parent permission to leave. They where forcing them to stay there against there own free will.(kidnapping... in my opinion). Then after showing evil amounts of verbal disrespect to the very respectful and calm African boy. The older teacher lady said the boy was trespassing..... so while leaving the boy had used curse words to defend himself from these evil demonic and Fake Christian's (in my opinion) I'm very disgusted and I hope no one ever lets there kid go here. They want ur money just as the devil does. They wanna hide u from the true world we live in and the actual struggles, in my opinion. They talk non-stop about how grateful they are for this school and how transformative it has been for their child. Their child did not like school and did not play with other kids their age - they were timid and frightened. Now their child loves school and is a social butterfly - finding friends in their age group and beyond. There child has complained that they don't want the school year to end because they want to keep going to Havern every day. We are supporters of the school because the love and dedication given to each child is who attends is easy to see. If a child is having challenges, they respond right away by trying different teaching modalities or a different teacher until they find the right fit for that child. I've never seen that kind of responsiveness from a school. Do not let the lack of reviews here fool you - there is a reason families move from other states, cross country, or drive over an hour each way to go to Havern. I think most families, like our friends, are private and want to protect their child's privacy, which is why there are so few reviews here.

I absolutely love this school! We've been going there for two years and have made some great…read morefriends. The teachers and staff are all so friendly and really do a good job with the kiddos. The Full day kindergarten is free which is why I wanted to go there in the first place and after that year we definitely wanted to stay. We had to go on a lottery drawing to get in because we aren't in district and I was so thrilled that they took us. Lucky the school is on my way to work! They have wonderful arts classes to choose from and I can't wait to see what my son learns!

Her teacher is extremely invested, knowledgeable, kind, aware, and devoted to my daughter and her classmates. The principal, while new at GR this year, has decades of genuine experience in Denver schools, and has already created a super productive and lively culture. My husband, son and I have joined our daughter at school for multiple events so far this fall, and everyone on campus has been incredibly welcoming and pleasant in their exchanges. Also, our daughter's academic situation has improved by very obvious and measurable amounts. Our son looks forward to starting kindergarten next year, and we plan on making Grant Ranch our permanent home as long as we live in the neighborhood!!

When we called it out and set up a meeting with the principal, she denied my daughter the ability to change classrooms and forced her to deal with it the rest of the year. This school needs to be shut down. Every adult there is completely I competent and treat children and parents like total garbage. At the same time, I would appreciate giving them a little time and patience to adjust. They have…read moreonly been in kindergarten for a few days, initially on a half-day schedule, and they have just started full days this week. This is a big transition for them, and they are still learning the routines, expectations, and boundaries of a new classroom. Regarding the hugging, I understand that they may be showing affection and seeking comfort as they adjust. Of course, I am happy to talk with them about appropriate boundaries and when it is okay to hug someone. I just hope we can allow them some time to learn and adapt rather than viewing these behaviors too quickly as a serious problem. I am absolutely willing to work together with you and support the twins in following classroom expectations. I would appreciate approaching this as a learning and adjustment period, especially so early in the school year. I want us to work as a team and give them the opportunity to settle in and succeed. Thank you for your understanding and for working with them. But the person complain that the kids have a hand in their mouth they don't feel comfortable. It's a big transition. I don't understand why it is already give me a hard time and my kids.
