I'm 45 years old and not in the greatest shape in the world and this really worried me due to knowing how physical BJJ is. I started my first class full of trepidation and worry. I was immediately greeted by the senior members of the academy like an old friend and I can't say how much everyone was very nice to me and welcomed me with open arms. They helped me with tying my belt and how to properly wear my Gi. Upon entering the mat area Danny Savery himself and all of the other coaches welcomed me to my first class and immediately made me feel at ease. I had heard from other people that this academy is more like a family and they were absolutely right! I can't say enough of how awesome this academy is and how much I look forward to going to class. So if you're looking for a great BJJ academy this is the place.
