Both my wife and I are recovering from multiple surgeries (her right arm x4, my left ACL) and had been released from insurance-covered physical therapy, which basically just means you are somewhat human again (can perform simple daily activities). While researching where we might get some good personal training in the area to help us regain strength the RIGHT WAY and THRIVE as older versions of our previously fit younger selves, we came across Streamline CrossFit. We also fortunately came into contact with a very nice couple who coincidentally had been Streamline members, missed it, and were thinking of going back after a few months of being away. Streamline offers a free evaluation (which was very hands-on and informative) and a free week of classes to any potential members. After our evaluations, I took one free class and decided to start the Fundamentals course right away so that I'd have a working knowledge of the movements. They allowed me to resume my free week after finishing Fundamentals, and now I'm a member. My wife has been getting personal training from Ely to build up to the point where she can safely participate in CrossFit classes. Despite his young age, Ely has proven to be extremely knowledgeable, patient, and kind. He finds creative ways to describe or illustrate movements to help you "get it," and he is ALWAYS encouraging. Ely has helped my wife regain strength and athleticism that she wasn't sure she'd regain after her arm surgeries (yes, plural), and he's only been working with her a few weeks! In a couple more weeks, he expects to see her in his classes. She is very excited about her potential. Streamline does also have a childcare area, which is something that I've seen many members taking advantage of. Just check the schedule on their website for supervised hours. And there are Streamline Kids classes, which I understand are taught by Ely. I've seen parents with their kids there, and it's really cute and also great that they're setting an example of fitness and wellness. We are glad to have met Austen and Ely and their family members who also work there, as well as the other trainers JB and Jamie whose classes I've also attended. Everyone from the owners and trainers to the other members has been very welcoming and encouraging as we embark on a journey of rejuvenation through physical exhaustion (er... I mean EXERTION)!

OOTK has been life-changing for our family. Given that everyone in our immediate family is…read moreneurodivergent, we are well-acquainted with the contentious history of ABA and the associated social stigmas related to autism. We were determined to ensure that our child did not face the challenges we encountered growing up--lack of support and the absence of essential tools and skills for self-empowerment and autonomy. Before choosing OOTK, we consulted with fellow parents in the Autism community and those at our child's school. After attending OOTK's open house, the therapists and An left a lasting impression, leading us to join their waiting list, aware that it might take six months or more. Our past negative experiences with ABA facilities, overly focused on behavioral conditioning and token use, prompted us to seek better support that aligned with our child's strengths, pro-Autism advocacy (not that Autism Speaks bullshit) and employing more empathetic communication methods Ultimately, we selected OOTK because they aligned with our stance on Autism. During our child's time there, they communicated with us only when necessary, conducted regular productive check-ins, and collaborated closely with us and the school to ensure our child's success. Our goal was for our child to acquire life skills, cope with challenges, and communicate effectively, irrespective of being autistic or nonverbal. Witnessing our child evolve from a quiet presence to a sassy chatterbox speaking in full sentences amazed us. OOTK's staff consistently displayed understanding, empathy, and professionalism, contributing significantly to our child's remarkable progress. Thank you for being a transformative influence in our child's life and for the invaluable support you've provided to our family. Our child, like any other, experiences both good and challenging days. The ability to communicate and understand the importance of compassion has been a crucial lesson, teaching them resilience even in the face of setbacks. Thank you so much. I'm really sad that we had to say goodbye after they graduated, but we are forever grateful for your support and the friendships we've made!

I would give zero stars if I could. My daughter attended…read morethis school from the very beginning. At first, she was making progress and I gave them a lot of credit for it. Now I wonder if some of it was just my daughter making some of the progress on her own. The owner (An) does not keep track of the kids case workers. We have talked to her about my daughters (Jenny was her case workers name) and she would say, "I don't keep track of the kids, I just leave it to the case manager" (how professional...) Jenny was absolutely terrible. She would email me always going on and on about how my daughter did this and that wrong. Even texting me inconveniently about how my daughter is fussy or constipated. I would be at work and they'd be texting me about it. I eventually had to email her telling her to stop messaging me negative statements about my daughter. Jenny decided she wanted my daughter to have ABA classes at HOME! Apparently she and other people at OOTKS had been "thinking about it for a long time", but only decided to talk to us about it when I was 4 WEEKS AWAY FROM GIVING BIRTH TO MY SON! When my mom called and confronted her about why she was kicking my kid out of the program, Jenny couldn't come up with anything but constipation issues was the reason. We told An we did not want Jenny to work with my daughter. Only a few days later we were informed JENNY WAS WORKING WITH MY DAUGHTER AFTER WE ASKED AN NOT TO AND SHE AGREED SHE WOULD NOT HAVE JENNY WORK WITH MY CHILD! We would also get multiple calls about my child having a fever & "needed to go home". When I would pick her up, let her play & take her temperature again, she was normal temperature, even playing normally. Not sure if something is wrong with their thermometers or if they just didn't want her there. We eventually left cause we felt they didn't want my daughter there and have now found a place where my daughter is thriving & enjoys. She leaves that place with a smile (unlike this place).

I have chosen to remain anonymous for personal reasons. My children were unenrolled a few months ago, and I had initially hoped that, through communication and patience, some of my concerns would improve. Unfortunately, after repeated attempts to seek clarity, I ultimately lost confidence in the process. My greatest frustration was the lack of transparency regarding student progress. Children would continue training for many months, sometimes well over a year, without being invited to test, yet parents received little proactive feedback explaining what specifically needed improvement. Only when parents enquired about testing would concerns or explanations suddenly emerge. As a parent without a martial arts background, I was not expecting automatic advancement. However, I did expect clear communication and a structured pathway. The stripe testing process in particular felt inconsistent and unpredictable. Since stripe progression is required before belt testing, I expected there to be a clear schedule or at least some transparency around evaluations. Instead, stripe tests often seemed to occur without warning, leaving students unprepared and discouraged when they did not pass. The overall system increasingly gave the impression of being financially driven rather than genuinely developmental. Parents were repeatedly told never to ask about testing because instructors alone would decide when a child was ready. Whilst I appreciate maintaining standards, there appeared to be very little visible progress tracking or measurable roadmap for advancement. I was also disappointed by the conduct of one senior instructor in particular. I personally heard remarks directed towards students such as "don't waste my time" and "why are you begging for tests." Regardless of intent, I found that manner of communication inappropriate for an environment meant to foster confidence, discipline, and respect. To be fair, not all aspects of the school were negative. Several instructors like Mr Green, Ms Ani etc were genuinely kind, professional, and invested in the students' development. However, I also noticed some capable instructors leave over time, which added to my concerns regarding the overall culture. I should add that the overwhelmingly positive online reviews do not reflect many of the private conversations I have had with other parents over the years. Several expressed similar frustrations but felt reluctant to leave because of the considerable time and money already invested, as well as concerns that their children would effectively have to start again elsewhere. This review is not written out of bitterness, but after months of consideration and disappointment. I simply hope other parents find this perspective useful when making an informed decision.
