Food is always of a decent take away standard. Prices are very reasonable. The 15 euro 3 course meal in the restaurant is fantastic value.

The space was so loud that it was genuinely difficult to hear anyone at our own table, which took away from the overall meal. Food-wise, it was a mixed bag. The fish and chips were average, and three of the four portions at our table had a surprising number of bones. Accompanying the fish, the mushy peas didn't have much flavor, though the chips themselves were decent. The blackened cod tasted more like it had been marinated in a soy glaze than actually blackened, but the flavor was still good -- just not much else to the dish. The burger was massive and cooked to a standard medium (for anyone visiting from outside Ireland, that's typical). Service was the biggest miss. It took an extremely long time to get drinks, and even longer for entrées to arrive. Between the noise level, the slow pacing, and the uneven food, I don't think I'd return.

If you have to wait for a table you can get a drink at the bar and they'll grab you when your table is ready. Everything we tried was well seasoned. We left with a full belly. I ordered the Social Menu for $65.00 which included a glass of sparkling wine, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. It was worth it and I ate everything. The tempura prawns were my favorite.

They have a bouncy castle and a lady that does face-painting so adults can sit back, eat their dinner and relax while the children burn off some steam. The food is adequate, there's carvery with all the trimmings and they're not stingy with the portions. It would be nice to have something to choose from other than the usual roast beef, turkey etc and the food looked a bit burnt from sitting in an over-heated hot-plate but once you know that's what you coming here to eat then everyone should be happy enough. The only issue I had the Sunday gone was that their website states that there is live music Saturdays and Sundays but when I asked the lady behind the bar she said there is no music anymore on Sundays. They should have removed this from the website as once we'd eaten it got quite boring for the adults.

For starters, we had the duck liver pate and bruschetta, which were both superb. Our main courses were both the lamb stack cooked medium. The mint sauce was especially tasty! We finished off with coffee and dessert. My wife chose the cheese cake. The name of my dessert escapes me, but it was a filled pastry with an ice cream. Our children's' meals were reasonably priced with generous portions. I would recommend The Loft to anyone!

Pour a cup of Lyon's, butter up the toast and let the healing begin. For City Centre sufferers, Benny's is the place to rejoin the land of the living. This is as close to a true American diner as it can get (sorry Eddie Rockets, no points for chroming the tables) with an affordable, unchanging menu of burgers, chips, all things battered, buttered and sold between slices of bread. The coffee is heathenish but their stainless steel pots of black tea will transport you. On our most recent visit the injured party soothed his aching head with a mountain of breakkie (served all day for €7.90): 2 eggs, toast, sausage, pudding, a pool of beans and tea. I opted for a chicken club which came -rather than stacked -as three sandwich halves with salad and a handful of crisps. But I won't be smug about the cuisine; Benny's has been keeping teens and taxi drivers happy for years now, so the formula clearly works. The eat-in area is clean and bustling with very local eaters. The take away lane is always out the door on weekends and after hours, but don't let it deter you -this is an outstanding little chipper with a heart of gold.

That doesn't mean it is cheap, it is reasonably priced. But the food is gorgeous! You can tell they put the effort into their burgers and their chips are lovely and chunky, making it so popular with the locals.
