a produce section in a grocery store

Looking for a little Upper East Side in your Upper West Side? Gracefully has you covered. Gracefully, is a gourmet market / deli on West End, near all the ABC buildings. Their deli is usually very busy at lunch time as for a city littered with "gourmet delis", there is next to nothing on West End in the area. They serve sandwiches, Panini, chopped salads (doesn't everyone these days?) and a limited number of hot entrees. The staff is friendly and they turn around orders quickly. Unlike many places with the gourmet in their title, they actually have a miniature high-end market, consisting of all kinds of luxurious edibles. I got a grilled chicken Panini with pesto, mozzarella and sliced tomatoes. It was good, but the chicken was very dry. I also picked up a couple of boxes of Kashi granola bars - for $6 a box! Whoa. That is $2 per box more than I usually pay. They may have a great selection of gourmet foods, but the prices are 25-30% higher than other markets for the same items.

I think I may have found a new spot for lunch. This is an alternative to Gourmet Garage which sometimes feels like anything but gourmet. They have a deli with a large variety of sandwiches. I had a breaded chicken cutlet sandwich in a roll. It tasted very fresh and delicious. Not bad for 6 bucks. Add chips and a juice and have a complete meal.

Delicious vegetarian sandwich with avocado, sprouts, pesto, tomato, fresh mozz, and more!

Very awesome healthy grocery store and breakfast/lunch spot! There is not much that I like in this area (especially for a vegetarian) and this grocery store is incredibly affordable compared to nearby places and has tons of breakfast and lunch options. I recently had their D.Nice sandwich which was so delicious - fresh and really good bread. They also have great coffee. As for the store - they have reasonable pricing on all of their organic and healthy snacks, drinks, etc. 4 stars because - The only thing I would say is it would be great if the cashiers were friendly or smiled genuinely. I feel sad while checking out because they look so miserable. The guy that made my sandwich was so happy and nice. I wonder what's up with the cashiers. I also bought an Aloe health drink only to find out that there was high fructose corn syrup in it. I know plenty of brands that have great all natural Aloe drinks and I am wondering why they choose to sell this one. Read the labels when picking stuff out!

Ham, fried egg, and swiss on poppyseed bagel, toasted. Perfection!

Nice local place. But expensive. That's NYC for you:). Still, good and interesting selection.

There are more cashiers than I've seen in any other Trader Joe's. Accounting for what they knew would be a high-trafficked store, the aisles are wide. Plenty of merchandise. Clean, well-stocked. Same prices I paid when I shopped at Trader Joe's in Roswell GA though -- and it may be my imagination -- the bag of frozen Gyoza Potstickers (something I always buy) seems to have shrunk. The First Avenue bus is right outside. Convenient! I would avoid rush hour and weekends when the store could get super busy. I don't want to struggle with purchases on a crowded bus. But I'll surely be back, mid-week, mid-day.

This was my first time visiting this Trader Joe's location…read more I'll start with the positives: the line was short and moved quickly, and they did have some of the items I was looking for in stock, which I appreciated since I was short on time. Unfortunately, the experience was heavily overshadowed by an uncomfortable situation with a security guard who followed us around the store. It was very off-putting and honestly diminished the entire visit. If I hadn't been in a rush, I would have left my items right where I stood and walked out. Security should be focused on individuals who are actually stealing, not hovering over someone carrying a tiny bag where nothing could even be hidden. Because of that experience, it's unlikely I'll return to this location. I may consider trying a different Trader Joe's someday, but this visit left a very sour impression.

We have developed a congenial friendship which was founded on La Fermière yogurts. Emre knows that I price shop so invariably I know when the time is right to buy these delicious yogurts at Eden. I often buy Siggi yogurts as here they are $1.99 each. The ladies - Dolores, Affou, Mamata, Savita, Tofu - at the checkout are friendly, kind and remember customers. A few speak French which I practice with them. Being originally Greek, the Dolmas in the prepared food section, are plump and particularly tasty. It's worth buying a few to take home. Adam looks taciturn but always is kind to me. He is behind the deli counter preparing sandwiches and always gives me a quarter pound of the Jambon de Paris. Miguel and Medina are also here. A loyalty card is worth having and once having accumulated many points I paid the princely sum of $1.61 for a pretty bouquet of roses in assorted colors that cost $11.99. Now that's a steal! Eden Gourmet is the sister supermarket to my beloved sadly closed Eden Gourmet of 14th street. This too is packed to the brim with fresh vegetables, fruits, cheeses, dairy, chicken and meats. A large variety of sparkling waters, frozen entrees, ice creams and assorted temptations are here too. A small bakery has cakes and pastries available. I pop in often to get milk or to see what's new and always to say hello to everyone. I always feel happy coming to Eden Gourmet Marketplace!
