Absolute worst experience I've had at a doctor's office ever. For years I've heard great things…read moreabout Dr. Angela Angel and tried for over a year and a half to become one of her patients. The time came when I finally became her patient and on my first visit (Jan 2021) she made me feel judged for deciding to not get covid vaccinated "because I was an Emergency Room nurse and should know better". I took that comment with a grain of salt, ignored it, and decided to give her another chance. Fast forward to my next annual visit (April 2022), I expressed my concern of trying to get pregnant for over a year and only having 4 cycles in one year time span. She told me it was because of my diet and that I needed to eat healthier and stop drinking caffeine and alcohol. Mind you, I drink 2-4 cups of coffee a WEEK, drink alcohol maybe 1-3 times a month, and had already started working on my diet. I expressed that I would like to look at other options to help regulate my cycles. She agreed to draw my labs but nothing further than that. The next week after having my labs drawn, Dr. Angel reached out via the portal stating my labs were normal and I did NOT have PCOS (No vaginal ultrasound was ever done). A month later (May 2022) I called the nurse expressing concern that I still wasn't having my cycle. She spoke to Dr. Angel and called me back the next day saying again to watch my diet due to having "mild PCOS" (remember a month before I was told I did NOT have PCOS?). She said they would check back in with me in 3 months. They did not offer any prescriptions nor a vaginal ultrasound to see what the source of the problem may be. I did my own research and asked the nurse if we could try metformin to possibly help regulate my cycles. I also expressed my concern that I have been trying to get pregnant for over a year and do not want to continue to drag my feet for another quarter year without getting to the root cause of this problem. The nurse stated she would re-reach back out to Dr. Angel and see what she says. The next day the nurse calls me back again and rudely states, "Dr. Angel said she would prescribe the medication, but she said it's not going to help you. Also, we will truly see if you're following a good diet or not because if you take this medication with a bad diet its going to mess up your stomach". I've never felt so belittled and discouraged by a provider in my life. All they continued to want to do is just sit and wait. In June 2022, I made the decision to leave this office and transfer to a different provider. I called the main number to request my medical records. When you press 5 for medical records it immediately takes you to a voice mail. I left my information on the voicemail and was told they would respond in 48 hours. I didn't hear anything for a week, so I called again and left a second voicemail. Again, I never got a return phone call. Another week later, I called and reached out to the front desk and expressed my concern for not hearing back from medical records. She explained to me what I needed to do to request my records. I told her I would fax the information immediately and asked when I would receive my records. She told me 14 days. I expressed that I needed them that week for my new doctor's appointment and that I have been trying to reach someone for 2 weeks to get my records. The front desk lady was EXREMELY rude and defensive, stating "I can't help that she didn't call you back and I'm answering you now and I'm telling you that you will have to wait 14 days". I asked to speak to a manager and was told that I couldn't. It's a month later (July 2022) and I have still not received my records. Coming from a medical professional background, I have never experienced a doctor's office so unprofessional, disorganized, unbelievably rude and lack so much bedside manner. I will never return to this office nor to Dr. Angel.

I was referred to this office by my PCP…read moreon 10/17 and was instructed that Dr. Angela Angel's office would reach out to schedule an appointment. 7 days went by, so I called on Monday, 10/23, to follow-up directly, only to be met with a very long menu. The option to schedule an appointment says to fill out an appointment request on their website and they'll get back to you in 7 days, but that doesn't exist anywhere on the website. There's a patient portal, but you can only access that after you've had an initial appointment where they give you the ability to create an account in their system. So, my only option was to leave a voicemail. I did, explaining my situation. I didn't hear back, so I called and left another voicemail on Wednesday, 10/25. By Friday, I still hadn't heard anything, so I asked that my PCP try calling them for me. My PCP was on hold for 16 minutes and then had to leave a voicemail as well. Are you serious?? I am almost 8 weeks pregnant and I can't even get a hold of the doctor's office to schedule an appointment!! I am also a teacher, which makes scheduling any appointments very difficult, so I was trying to be ahead of the game so I could find a good time to get on the books that wouldn't interfere with school hours. I will be asking my PCP to find a new OBGYN office tomorrow, as I do not trust this office with my medical care if they don't even have a simple way to call the office or speak to an actual human being. I'm surprised this office had such high reviews and incredibly disappointed that I did not have a positive experience like others have.

Dr. Gillean has been my OB for almost 10 years, she is amazing! She takes her time to listen and…read morealways remembers little details about me/my family. The wait times at the office can be very long, but to me it's worth it. The staff has changed a lot over the years and I do miss some people but overall everyone is very nice. Dr. Gillean has delivered all 3 of my children at Presby Rockwall and I've had a wonderful experience every time.

He always speaks to me in an honest, LISTENING way. He always provides a variety of options for any decision I inquire of, and if he does not know something he takes time to read on said topic and gets back to me with an answer. If my question relates to a non-OB/GYN topic, he always refers me to other excellent providers (people he and his staff see for medical care themselves). He knows the best doctors in Dallas. As a Registered Nurse, I have seen a lot of bad doctors in my work, however Dr. Cowart is a rare gem and provides amazing care at the bedside backed by his incredible knowledge. 10/10 I highly recommend him.

I appreciate how she is never rushed and takes the time to answer all my questions. She always has a smile on her face when she enters the room. Dr. Sudela specializes in female hormone replacement and has many happy patients. I love their new office, the view of lake Ray Hubbard from the windows is relaxing. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family.
