I have 2 children under 3, so going to a winery for tasting is aspirational at best. But when we heard Gracebrook had lots of animals to look at and lots of space for running around, we decided to go.
The drive is lovely, and there are _heaps_ of animals! Pigs, goats, chickens, guinea fowl, ducks, geese, cows and a gorgeous deer, plus a wonderful bounteous garden to walk in.
We decided to have lunch after we did wine-tasting, and what a spectacular lunch!
The kids had a pasta between them; a pappardelle and ragu we wouldn't have minded getting. But we opted for the grazing platter to share, and were blown away.
Everything is either made there or locally sourced, and was divine. Bread, crackers, oil, salami, sausage, smoked fish, figs, quinces, nuts, pickled walnuts, soft & blue cheese, some veggies, pesto, mustard, eggs, fruit!
We ate like kings, and left thoroughly delighted.
