They specialize in patients who have dental anxiety, and offer various sedation options for cleanings and dental work. I loved the fact that their priority is making their patients feel comfortable and relaxed, so that their dental experience is a good one! Dr. Paterson and her entire staff at the Buford office are so incredibly sweet and kind. They made me feel comfortable. I was able to use nitrous gas for my cleaning and dental work, and along with Dr Paterson and her staff, I had the best dental experience I've ever had! She was able to effectively find and treat a problem in one of my molars. My review has more to do with the office policies and the staff. So, I went for my first appointment and I was very happy, then I was referred to an endodontist and he was also very professional. I was scheduled with Gwinnett Family Dentistry (GFD) for a second appointment to finally get a crown in my molar, so they call me (GFD) and schedule my appointment, very nice lady, never mentioned any of their policies regarding changes or cancellations. On a Thursday, i receive a confirmation call from GFD and again, the nice lady never mentioned any of their policies or how long the procedure will take. So I confirm that I'm attending to my appointment, thinking that the procedure will take about an hour like in my first appointment, but what do I know??.. I'm just the patient who's never ever had a crown treatment before. So I call the day of my appointment, which was Monday, around 7:30-ish... I get Ingrid on the phone and I ask her how long is the treatment going to take? and she says "2 hours", and obviously I had no idea of the length because I was never informed. So I panic and I tell her that I can't make it because of work, I didn't know it would take 2 hours, and I have to reschedule..... I understand that I'm calling at the last minute, BUT.. Aren't they (GFD) supposed to inform you of these details before your actual appointment?? Anyways, she tells me there is a cancellation fee, and I tell her that I'm NOT cancelling, I'm rescheduling because I was not informed that the procedure would take that long. So she insists that is the same because is in the same day, less than 48 hours before my appointment. I get very upset, and I tell her that if they charge me a cancellation fee I will go to another dentists, obviously Ingrid doesn't care. She tell me that the administrator will be at their office the next day and she will call me... After a few minutes I call back and ask Ingrid how much the cancellation fee is?.... And her answer????.... " I don't know, the admin will call you tomorrow"... that never happened.... A week after, I receive a bill from them, it's only for $15, the original amount was $50 but after some credit they made I only "have" to pay $15, NOT my point... So my problem is..... Ingrid, works in that office, SHE tells me about the cancellation fee, but she doesn't know the amount.... So, how am I supposed to know about their policies if they never ever EVER mentioned them to me, the policies are not in their website and I was never informed by any of their staff, not when I scheduled my appointment and not when the nice lady called me to confirm my appointment.... But I have to know them????? Can someone please tell me what is the logic here????

She got us checked in quickly and helped put us at ease. My son needed to be sedated through an IV for his dental procedure due to his sensory needs, and as any special needs parent knows, that can be incredibly overwhelming. Dr. Paris was absolutely amazing. She took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and never once made me feel judged. Because of my son's sensory challenges, brushing his teeth has always been a struggle. Unfortunately, he needed eight crowns and three extractions**. As a parent, it's easy to feel like you've somehow failed your child in moments like these, but not one person on this team made me feel ashamed or uncomfortable. Instead, they treated us with compassion, understanding, and genuine kindness. After the procedure, Cindy, the recovery nurse, was equally incredible. I'm a single mom and didn't have anyone with me that day. She was so patient, caring, and even helped me get my son safely to the car. That simple act of kindness meant more than she probably realizes.While no parent wants their child to have to go through a procedure like this, the level of compassion, professionalism, and exceptional care we received made all the difference. Every member of the team treated us with dignity and empathy, and I am beyond grateful for the experience they provided. Too bad my husband took them this day - otherwise I'd have refused service - why are you completing work that's not warranted anyway? Even though I have agreed to pay this bill, that due to their negligence, they had the nerve to send me a 30 days past due notice. I'd already agreed with these people that I would pay $10 each month until January when my HSA was funded and they AGREED to this plan. Stay away from these people unless you just like being over charged, over serviced and just want to throw money away. I contacted the owner to look into this and my call was not returned.

My daughter, mother-in-law, and I were patients of Clayton Dental/Village Grove Dental for more…read morethan four years. Collectively, our family spent more than $50,000 with the practice, most of it paid out of pocket. We trusted them with our daughter's complex needs, but we experienced severe failures, unfulfilled promises, and uncomfortable staff interactions that have left us both emotionally and financially devastated. Poor Results & Broken Promises: The Front Teeth- A semi-permanent (even though we paid for a permanent front bridge) was put in for my daughter, and we were promised in writing that we would receive a $4,000. allowance if issues arose. During her last checkup with Dr. Chang we were told she had just a few cavities. When I expressed our loss of confidence in the practice, Dr. Chang sent a letter formalizing a dismissal rather than addressing our clinical concerns. Weeks after my daughter's last visit with Dr Chang, our new dental provider discovered the front bridge had completely cracked and failed in addition to some fillings and crowns. This office refused to honor their written word, after we alerted them to the clinical findings of our new dentist, offering only a basic apology. Other Work: I was also advised by Dr. Chang to replace an existing crown because I was told its margins were allowing debris to collect and because the crown was chipped. I was told that, without replacing it, there was a greater probability that I could eventually need a root canal. Based on that recommendation, I paid for a new crown.The new crown was too tight, and a dental assistant subsequently made permanent adjustments to it. After changes were made the gap between my teeth is now wider allowing even more debris to collect. Furthermore, new cosmetic caps came off three times in two months. Our new dentist fixed my bite and secured them properly. Account Issues: After paying $20,000 for a comprehensive plan, I received a surprise $715 bill months later for a night-guard. When I questioned it, a staff member sent an aggressive text message stating that I must pay that day or return the bite guard. We tried multiple times to resolve this privately. No one from this office ever called us to discuss our concerns. We are now facing over $15,000 in extra costs to redo their work with a new provider. We do not recommend this practice.
