This pediatric dental clinic doesn't have patience in dealing with kids. We've been to this clinic for 3years and the services are getting downhill. The staff dont even care to the patient's well-being. They dont mind if your children are scared,uncomfortable,or traumatized.What would you expect for a 4-5 year old kids? Beware you could be held against your will. Just had the worst experience at the kid's new dentist office. I should have known better when they wouldn't let me go back with them and almost walked out then. I kept insisting they weren't going without me and they were making it into a big thing about me staying in the waiting room. Even though their website states "parents are invited to be in the room for the entire visit". It wasn't until I had to bring up my son having Autism that they gave in and let me go with them. They made me wait in the room while they took the kids off for X-rays. I stepped out to try and keep an eye on them from the doorway but could see daughter struggling. When she got back she told me the lady had hurt her mouth. The cleanings were done quickly but the assistant made some comments about being surprised with how well my son behaved since I "made a big deal" about his Autism. It killed me because I was actually really proud with how both kids were handling it. We waited a total of about 45 mins for a dr to come in. I asked a couple times to see where the dr was as it wasn't crowded and was met with an attitude every time. By then I had already made up my mind this would be our first and last visit to this place. When we hit the 40 minute mark of waiting I told the assistant in the hallway that I would just like to just pay and leave. I would rather make an appointment at our old office. This big woman physically blocked the door and told me that we weren't allowed to leave. That we weren't going anywhere without seeing the doctor. She wouldn't move from the door and made for us to return to the room. When the kids and I returned to the room I called my husband so I could tell him what was happening and to ask what to do. As soon as he picked up the doctor made her way in and told my daughter to get in the chair. She went through her mouth and started telling me that this needed a root canal and this needed a root canal. My daughter stared at me horrified as the doctor discussed drilling, nerves, and pain. Her bedside manor is terribly lacking. Then she told my son to get in the chair and started saying wanted to pull several teeth. I was outnumbered by employees in the room and terrified at this point by the aggressive larger sized woman in the hall so I told them I would schedule later. I was so relieved when we were finally allowed to checkout. And even that wasn't a friendly experience. I had to file a police report and the officer had to educate the employee that false imprisonment is a felony. I feel sick. My anxiety is through the roof. I had no idea they could just hold you against your will like that and intimidate you into complying. I went to a CHILDREN'S dentist office. My mind is blown. I will happily make the drive to our old dentist now. read more

I am so thankful we started coming here. The staff here are complete miracle workers. Our nine year old was having some issues with her teeth so we took her to a pediatric dentist who suggested we do sedation dentistry because she wasn't comfortable and cooperative. My five year old daughter was being very difficult as well, but she did not have any teeth issues, she was just was there for a cleaning. We were told that the total cost for dental work, hospital CHoA and anesthesiologist would be $4,000 total out of pocket for a root canal, a few extractions and a couple of fillings. My nine year old ended up with a couple of fillings and seven extractions. The $27,000.00 bill came a few weeks later, you read it right $27,000.00 and that's not including the $4,000 we paid. I called the dentist to complain asking how a $4,000 quote turn into $31,000. I was told it happens sometimes. My girls now go to Dr. Kwon's office and have no issues. They are comfortable here and they cooperate with the Dr's and staff because they make them feel at ease. My five year old had a tooth removed and they did it right there in the office saving me 6200% of what the other place cost. If your children are comfortable with their Dr they are more cooperative. Going to the dentist can be a traumatic experience for a child, but the staff here at Dr. Kwon's provides a relaxed environment that makes your children feel at ease. read more

I am NOT PLEASED WITH THIS DENTIST! If I could put 0 stars I would! Me and my son comes in this am for a filling, and our appointment was at 8:30am we arrived at 8:15 am and they called us back at 8:25am started going over paper work and all that which is fine, we'll then it was time to sedate him with the "red juice" which was fine as well. The lady that comes in to do it had long brown hair and had a accent; proceeds to give him the "juice" and he was taking baby sips because he said "it was hot" well she kept rushing him and making him take big sips well she put too much in his mouth and he cried and cried and said it was hot and spit it out. She "yelled" at him and told him that he can't do that and that's not good and all that. Well I told her maybe let's put the little bit he had left in a syringe and I'll hold him back to kinda put it at the back of his throat. Well she thought that meant squirt the half of the syringe all at ONE time! And he couldn't catch his breath or nothing it started coming out of his nose!!!! I got sooooo PISSED! I started crying. My mom came up there and acted a fool! Rebekah came back there and was very sweet and nice and explain that there is another way we can do it and was being VERY helpful! But we left! AND NEVER WILL BE BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I recommend for little ones not to GO THERE! It's not a pediatric dentist! They DO NOT know how to work with KIDS! You can tell they get frustrated!!!! read more

Great service! Dr.Marable was quick and very informative, answering all of my questions.

I'm still a fairly new parent (my daughter's only 2) so that may be clouding my opinion. I chose this dentist office based on rave reviews I saw in a local Facebook group. Maybe I'm being naive, but I thought my kid would be seeing Dr. Kwon. Two visits in and I only know what he looks like because I Google'd his photo. My daughter has been seen by another dentist and I conveniently can't remember his name, and he's also not listed on their website, which is odd. I think my only "complaint" is that the dentist here seems to always be in a huge rush. I know my daughter is young so I guess because her teeth are basically still perfect, they just take a quick look and they're gone. Two visits in and both times he looked at her teeth for no more than 15 seconds. I don't know... I'd just prefer a bit more care and attention. I haven't decided yet if we'll continue to come here or find another office to try out. read more

Kids were seen promptly. The kids are happy here. We have been seen by this dentist for over two years. We enjoy our visit each time.

Amazing staff. My kids love it here. They give each kid a prize after they get their teeth cleaned. So sweet.

It's unfortunate that one person--really two-- can ruin a person's experience. The doctor was wonderful, the ladies who cleaned my boy's teeth were wonderful, but goodness sakes the woman who handled the 'moving around' was beyond atrocious. Weeks ago, I called to schedule an appointment for ALL FOUR of my children at the same time. I was not able to provide my youngest son's insurance card because it wasn't on me at the time of making the appointment. My older three children have already been seen here before, and their cards were already on file--I simply had to provide the member numbers over the phone again. Here is where the two people who have ruined my experience comes in. Who in my opinion are part of the faces of the business, the scheduler. She understood that I was not able to produce the card and was given two options to resolve the issue: call back and provide the info or bring it in upon date of service. Like everyone else in this world, I got busy, and chose to not call, and bring it in. It was easiest for me (but that doesn't matter to them.) Upon entering Kwon Pediatrics, I sign in, and realize that they have not put in a spot for my youngest son's first cleaning. Which normally dentist around the world suggest getting the child in when they first start popping up teeth, so as to ensure a healthy start in their dental life. What baffles me most, is that the scheduler failed to put my son in for the day, literally knowing that all I needed to bring was his insurance card. Seems logical to schedule ALL FOUR children at the same time, right? My appointment was scheduled for 11:00am. I arrived at 10:38. I don't recall what time we were called back, but it was 11:08 when the hygienist was done with two of my children. One would imagine that miss thang with the purple scrunchie would be more willing to accommodate a customer, and try without resentment to fit the child in. Especially seeing as how I was able to get in ahead of schedule. (ONE WOULD THINK) I literally had to pull out my best attitude--sarcasm, it was my worst) to push for my child to be seen. No sympathy or common sense or the guts to own up to their scheduling mistake was made. I literally had to demand for him to be seen. The fact that I had explained to her TWICE that I had already spoken with the scheduler about my children being seen. Heaven forbid a mother bring all four of her children in to be seen at the same time. She wanted to reschedule him. Lets not forget that we were already done with 2 out of 4 children's cleanings by 11:08. For help with math, that's only 8 minutes past original scheduled appointment time. I don't handle lack of customer service very well, you are getting paid for a service, right? Purple scrunchie girl finally did her job and asked whomever to see if the youngest could be seen. Oh dear goodness it was an ordeal to fit him in. How dare I! But really, how dare purple scrunchie lady have no common sense and try to accommodate a mother of four trying to make the most of her time. The older three received X-rays, miss thang took out my distaste for her on my children, didn't walk him back to where we were, and when my three year old was done with his X-ray, she turned her back on him and didn't assist with helping him down. Glad I stood watching as I was able to step in and help him down. "Must not have children" I thought about the rude purple scrunchie lady. One other lady who probably was informed of my poor attitude and response was the lady who had to 'write up the notes' for some silly stinkin' reason, I was requested to stay back there as she typed them up. She didn't ask any information from me, so what was the point of me being there? Why couldn't I take myself and children out of the room? I am not impressed Kwon Pediatrics, and I realize that I am one in a thousand of your customers, and it would appear to be that you don't always give your best to each of your customers. Like I said earlier, I am that person who will end a business association because of lack of customer service. You've lost my respect, and taken up too much time of my life. It wasn't worth it to deal with you, and even though your literally 15 minutes away from my house, and super convenient to me, I will not be coming back. The scheduler who started this mishap, and the compassionless woman who made an ordeal to fit my son in, are the reason for this. I hope you enjoy my review, and I apologize to the WONDERFUL doctor and hygienist who were there today. I can only hope the purple scrunchie lady will be reprimanded for her actions.
