My kids and I absolutely love this office! From the check-in and playful waiting area to the hygienist and Dr. T himself! My wife scheduled the appointment for all three children, which are ages one, eight, and 12. They were all able to be seen at the same time. Everyone was so nice, accommodating and professional. Much to my surprise my children actually want to go back to the dentist. Lol! I am very surprised to see some of the comments in the rating when coming onto to provide our review. After relocating, we needed to find a new pediatric dentist for our toddlers. Today we had our first appointment and it went SO well. Every single staff member was friendly, positive, helpful and kind. My 2yo and 4yo, while having some normal dentist nerves, otherwise did great. Pros -Clean & child friendly office -Friendly staff (dentist and hygienist) Cons -Billed for 'oral hygiene instructions' -Staff couldn't find the forms that I submitted weeks prior to visit so I had to fill them out again the day of visit I took my toddler in for his first cleaning at this office (he only had 5 teeth). Routine cleanings are covered at 100% with insurance. So I was confused when I received my bill and discovered a $50 charge for 'oral hygiene instructions' that was NOT covered by my insurance. Therefore, I was responsible for the balance. I called the office to ask why I was billed for 'oral hygiene instructions'. The person I spoke with was not only condescending and rude but she never told me why the office billed for that. However, she stated that the office AUTOMATICALLY bills their patient's insurance for this at EVERY visit! This is obviously a scam and fraudulent. If I schedule an appointment for a routine FREE cleaning, that is COVERED by my insurance, then that is the only service that needs to be billed and provided! In addition, the office needs to inform patients prior to their visits if there will be additional charges! As an adult I've never been charged for 'oral hygiene instructions' so I'm not clear why this office thinks it's ethical to charge excess fees for a child that only has 5 or less teeth! read more

My 5 year old did not cooperate with the laughing gas so they insisted on sedating her OR taking her to a different dentist because "some times a change of scenery can help". I called back a few weeks later to let them know that my 5 year old would like to try the laughing gas 1 more time and they flat out refused and said their only option was sedation so I did what was recommended by the dentist and scheduled her an appointment at a different dentist office. I then got notice a few weeks later that my family had been "dismissed" from the practice. I called to get some sort of explanation but apparently no one has an explanation except for the doctor himself who coincidentally is never in the office when I call. We have never missed an appointment. We have never been late. We do not owe any outstanding balances. I do not believe we deserved to be dismissed because I took the dentist's recommendation and took my 5 year old somewhere else because they REFUSED to give her a 2nd chance at laughing gas. I've always had a fear of going to the dentist and I didn't want my children to have the same experience. My children have been coming here since their first tooth appeared. Dr. T is awesome and he has an excellent staff. My children are never afraid to visit their dentist and Dr. T is amazing with kids. And I love their new space it's an amazing upgrade! I believe that the TVs and games all over the clinic are meant to distract you from the deceptive billing practices. My 4 year old daughter had been coming here for over a year. I've decided to find another pediatric dentist after I had questions regarding charges during the last two visits. Had I not questioned not only why I was being charged for X-rays during consecutive visits, but why were x-rays necessary twice in one calendar year - did the charges get reversed. They don't disclose services that are being performed on your child, nor any charges associated with those services. They don't even provide you with an invoice itemizing services rendered. It wasn't until I asked for one during my last visit that I realized that they are charging $100 for extra PPE for COVID. I feel that a business has the right to charge whatever they want, but I also feel that it is deceitful not to disclose these charges upfront. I watched the dentist apply some gel on a Q-Tip and apply it to the front of my daughter's teeth - only to learn that it was a flouride treatment that cost me $40 when it was time to pay. This was after a good checkup with zero cavities. The lesson that I learned from dealing with "First Class Pediatric Dentistry" is to ask what services are being rendered to your child, and if there are any associated costs to those services (whether it be out-of-pocket or otherwise) BEFORE services are rendered. I had to download the Yelp app and give this review cause I want parents to know what my experience was this past week at this practice that I just snatched my patronage from. My 13 yr old son (as well as my grown 22 yr old) both started their dental care with Dr. T when they were toddlers. I have watched his practice grow thruout the years into the thriving practice it is now. My son just recently had a cavity that started hurting. This concerned me and I had questions, being he gets a cleaning every 6 months. When we arrived this past Monday for the cavity to be filled, I was not allowed back with him for the procedure, due to COVID precautions which I understood. I made it known to the front desk that I would like to see Dr. T after the procedure cause I had questions regarding my son's dental care. When my son was brought out afterward, Dr. T was nowhere to be seen. I asked the front desk for him again. I watched the lady buzz for him. He never came to the front. I called the next day and the young lady sent a computer message as we talked for him to call me. He never called . I left a msg on the practice voicemail that evening asking for him to call me, and That if he's too busy to call a parent, then clearly I need to find another dentist for my son. The next morning, a young lady that works the front desk called me, asking if she could answer any questions I have cause Dr. T is very busy. I thought I was being punked! Lol! He's too busy to take 5 mins to call a parent regarding questions they have on their son's dental care? And why is the front office calling me back and not Dr. T?? I want the dentist to call me, not sone one in the front office that hasn't gone to nobody's dental college! Clearly, he sent her to call me cause I'm sure she relayed my voice mail to him. When a dentist refuses to take 5 mins to call a parent about their concerns, and is sending his front desk staff to answer dental questions for him .... clearly, it's time to find my son a new dentist! This whole thing has been crazy. I found a 5 star pediatric right here that's closer to me and I look fwd to East Atlanta Pediatric Dentistry continuing my son's pediatric dental needs. I definitely don't recommend Dr. T. He's very busy and doesn't have time to call parents regarding their concerns. And it's amazing how a dentist thinks it's cool to play in your child's mouth and bill you for it, and not want to speak to you about any concerns you have. I've been taking my kids to Dr T over 10 years he is great but I had a horrible experience on May 2, 2023 with half of his staff! The receptionist was rude she didn't want to take my calls, I was calling cause my son had treatment at 8:00 that morning and been throwing up since we left and I wanted to let them know so I started calling and when she finally picked up the phone the hung back up so I went back up there and Omgggg the office manager is so rude and unprofessional, the workers was laughing at me and told me I can't speak to dr t! they knows he wouldn't approve of the way they treated me and I still didn't really have answers on why my son got sick after treatment, I did speak to the other doctor but I ask for Dr t so I can let him know how horrible and ghetto and unprofessional his staff is! I've been going to Dr.T since my oldest was 3,she's 16 now.What we experienced today was the worse service I've ever seen. Three families with 2 or more kids were seen before us. We waited 45 minutes prior to the kids even being taken for X-ray. I had to speak to the receptionist about my concern for how long we had been waiting and other families going ahead who had come in almost 30 minutes after us. Never saw the dentist! Once the hygienist finished 20 minutes went by,I told my children let's go. I will no longer allow Dr.T to service my family. Which is sad because they this is the only dentist my children have seen. They need to have better customer service and run the office more efficiently. It's no reason a patient should have to wait that long to not even see the dentist and was there almost 2 hours. read more

We have been going to Dr. T's office for two years. Every experience has been great in their previous location and their new location. All four of my children get excellent care at each visit.We were there this past Wednesday for an appointment with my daughter and they handled the challenges with COVID-19 very well. This place is HORRIBLE!!!!! It definitely doesn't deserve 1star. Take your kid/s somewhere else. The billing person Jana is a pit bull, very nasty, rude, disrespectful, she doesn't know what professionalism is. and definitely needs to be FIRED and put in a institution and medicated. The TECHS, DOCTOR talks about the patients to each other and to patients Very unprofessional. The place is horrible. They act like kids in high school. I'll explain this review in detail because they were five stars at first. I searched for a dentist that was knowledgeable about my child's specific needs and found Dr. T. He, along with his staff were always very courteous and knowledgeable and I felt confident having him work on my child. My child has a medical condition that required him to be cleared by his medical team prior to treatment, which was done (had to go through hoops to do it but I understood why it was necessary). I did everything the team asked of me and they confirmed I did everything they needed. For three months my child had significant pain from his teeth and it took that long to get in and get all the required documents and get scheduled for the treatment. Two days prior to his treatment (and after I'd received confirmation that everything was a go) they called to cancel his appointment because their anesthesiologist failed to review their cases prior to the appointment and she apparently did not feel confident in treating me my child. Even though Dr. T did and my child's entire medical staff. We sat on their books for a month and a day before anyone said anything. My child literally laid in the floor crying when he was told he could not have his teeth fixed so his pain would go away. He then developed an abcess they refused to treat and told me to find another dentist. They had been his dentis and knew about his health and his history and they turned a child with an abcess away. Luckily we found an emergency dentist that saw and treated him and actually told me they would sue this practice for liability of my child since he is now losing the tooth and has a massive infection from something they refused last minute to treat. If they did not feel confident they should have never taken his case on and wasted two months of our time and cost my child his tooth. read more

I normally do not write reviews, but I feel the IMMEDIATE need to warn someone about this place. This is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER, EVER, EVER WORKED. I really do not know who has been writing the other reviews but those reviews HAVE to be in house. There is no way anyone have many (if any) positive things to say about this place. SERIOUSLY! I cannot express enough how much I wish I had not accepted a job here. The turnover rate was the highest I've ever heard. Not many (if anyone) last longer than 2 weeks. Some of the hirees that accepted the job since I was there did not make it through a whole day. The dr is extremely rude and impossible to work with. He does NOT want you to speak to "HIS" patients. He wants to know your EVERY move(where you are at all times). His wife is the other dr for the practice. They keep LOTS of secrets, to the point its uncomfortable. There is no real system here- just go with the flow. At this place you will definitely be overworked and ABSOLUTELY UNDERPAID. If you have ANY other options, I HIGHLY suggest the other option.
