However, I did find the pricing to be quite high relative to the overall value provided ... I mean it's not a regular sit down restaurant where you get served; more like a "take out" place. $75 (tax & tip included) for 2 dishes is a bit much for a take out place. I wanted to share this perspective with you as part of my review of the experience, as I believe it could be helpful for you in your dining consideration.

Nothing I tried really stood out in flavor, seasoning, or execution. The biggest disappointment was paying $33 for half a fish. At that price point, I expected something that would make me say, "Okay, this was worth it." Instead, the fish was very basic and didn't deliver the flavor or quality I expected for $33. I'm always willing to pay good money for good food, especially authentic Haitian cuisine, but the price has to match what's on the plate. Based on this visit, the value and flavor just weren't there for me.

They were playing kompa music, which immediately set the vibe and made the atmosphere even better. Now the food--10/10 across the board. Everything we ordered was packed with flavor. Every single bite was delicious. The pikliz was perfect for me because I love spicy food, but if you're not used to heat, be careful because it definitely has a kick. Shoutout to Dave, who took care of us. He gave excellent recommendations, and provided great service. I'll definitely be back, especially later at night because I can already tell the vibes are probably even better then. However, the food was lack lustered. It wasn't as flavorful as many stated. This is where this food truck scored the highest. They are super welcoming, something I didn't expect from a Caribbean business. Those who know would understand what I'm saying. I like the idea of sitting outside while mingling with other people. The portions are massive, so much food that would put king kong into a food coma. Unfortunately, that's how far it goes. The black rice du riz djondjon was disappointing to say the least. The meat was full of oil, so was the fritaille drenched in oil. I even thought to myself that they were in cahoots with the local Cardiologists.

The goat was fried well, the rice was delicious, the akra was so good we ordered more, and the pikliz was very spicy. The sauce for the meat was too salty for me, but overall, everything was good.
