We both never had Haitian food where every piece of meat was tender. Portion size was decent. We had a small portion to take home. Service was good. They include 18% gratuity on all dine in orders. I don't think this place is talked about enough on social. We will be back!

The Haitian music was loud and energetic, giving the restaurant a lively, authentic vibe. My waitress was friendly at first, and I ordered the meatballs, black rice, mac n cheese, and plantains. The food was excellent -- full of Caribbean flavor and spice. They provided piklis, but the meal already had plenty of heat. I also ordered a lychee martini that was really good, although I requested extra lychees and never received them. Service became an issue as the meal went on. My waitress took a long time to return and never checked back in; I eventually had to flag someone down just to pay. I was also given a dirty fork with visible crusted food on it. I told my waitress and asked for plastic utensils instead. When the bill came, I noticed a charge for the plastic utensils. I explained again that the original fork was dirty, and she told me it didn't matter -- that's just their charge. I even tried to show her the fork, and she still insisted it didn't matter. I asked for a manager, who looked at the fork, confirmed it was dirty, and removed the charge. It feels unreasonable for a restaurant of this caliber to charge a customer for requesting clean utensils, especially when the ones provided were dirty in the first place. The food itself was delicious, and that's the one thing they absolutely excel at. I'd return and order takeout solely for the great food, but I wouldn't dine in again.

I ordered the Boulette(Haitian meatballs) which was my first time trying it actually, and it was literally the best food I've ever had!! It was so flavorful and delicious my taste buds didn't know what just happened. It wasn't crumbly and the structure held up well. Pair it with the chicken gravy that's provided and I promise you won't regret it. I also got Diri Jon Jon (black rice) which is very easy to mess up by the way. But she managed to not only cook it perfectly but kept it moist and not dry. Now I ordered some Haitian Mac and Cheese which was forgotten so I had to go back and get it, but again one of the most flavorful dishes I've tried! My mom makes great Haitian food but if I want to taste home away from home I got to Alamod and I know I'll be treated like family

The turkey was fried a little too hard for my liking, and the black rice could have used a bit more flavor, but everything was still good. I also got the passion fruit drink, which was amazing. I would definitely go back just for that. I was too hungry and forgot to take photos Overall, I would recommend this place.
