This is probably the best Haitian food I've had in Miami thus far!!! The simple turkey platter, I ate it all before I left the parking lot that's how good it was omg. The turkey was fried perfectly, it was seasoned and very tender. The potato salad went well with the turkey! The only thing is I wish the pikliz was a little spicier. It was kind of mild. The spaghetti was also very good & seasoned! They give you a lot for your money, so I would say you can share this with someone else. Maybe 3 people depending on your appetite. My cousin told me about this restaurant for good authentic Haitian food. Restaurant located in a strip mall plaza on 183 street. I came around 2pm, so not busy. There is a dine-in next door to the carry out spot of the restaurant, ambiance is chill vibe with the Haitian culture artwork on the walls. The cashier was friendly and told me the best time to come is after 4, when the full menu is available which is the rush crowd comes in. I ordered the griot sample which comes with plantains for the price of $11. Can't beat that! Other restaurants charge more than that. Serving was decent and food is day and flavor! The restaurant has two different section one for pick up/door dash or dine in They do have a lot of foot traffic. I got the Salmon Complete that comes with rice of choice, plantain and a side salad. Great food and great service. Whenever I get Haitian food, I always get griot. It's the one thing I don't know how to make and have no desire to learn. Somethings you just have to leave it to the pros. Atmosphere: The restaurant was nice. It isn't fancy or anything. More of a whole in the wall environment. Food: I love the fact that they separate the meat from the rice. The rice and salad is in one container and the griot was in another smaller container. That was a huge plus to me. Other restaurants put everything in one plate and try to cheat you out of meat. The amount of food can easily be split between two people or split between two meals.The fried plantains were a little bland but every Haitian restaurant I go to, the plantains are bland. A high-risk for contracting COVID-19 due to the staff not following CDC's health guidelines. Used their restroom, which was unsanitized, with no hand-soap to wash your hands after use. Employees do not wear a mask and they prepare individuals food without following any of the guidelines from the CDC. It's sad because the food is halfway right as it relates to the Haitian culture, but you're taking a high-risk eating at a place that does not put their customer's health as a priority. Also, their service app charged me twice for a meal, and they refuse to refund the money. Their professionalism is at an all-time low, as the service app will give customers time to pick-up their food, and that is never the case, as they will have customers wait 20-40 minutes additional to receive their order.
