TLDR: Excel put us in a pickle, JDP came out after hours and went the extra mile to get our power…read morerestored. We had a tree branch fall on our overhead power line running to our electric meter, bending the mast and popping the meter off the wall. We called excel when the issue happened, and it took them a month (and multiple phone calls) to get a person to come look at it. They came out on a Friday at 4 pm, declared our meter a fire hazard, dropped our power line, and told us that an electrician needed to repair the conduit/meter before they would restore power. I called several companies who couldn't do it (understandably) but JDP sent their on call guy. He was there for several hours completing the work, and even talked with Excel on the phone advocating for us. Our power was restored at 10 pm, in no small part due to JDPs commitment.

My husband and I had JDP Electric install some recessed lights into our main floor living room…read more(where there previously was no lighting) and our bedroom (removed the light/chandelier). Because it's difficult to add recessed lighting "after the fact", they suggested a different kind of light...a kind of 'disc' light...it looks very similar to a recessed light, but isn't. They are perfect. Personally, I think they are better than a recessed light, because they are brighter!! They also added a dimmer switch to the lights. It's exactly what we wanted. They did such an amazing job...we are so happy with the work they did. Professional, friendly, and helpful service, from the consultation to the install. My husband took time off work as he works an hour away. Unfortunately, no technician arrived. The next morning, he called and was assured that someone would be there at 4pm that day. He took additional time off work. He called at 4:30, he was told we were the next stop after the technician finished the current job. Again, no one showed up. He contacted a competitor who was able to schedule us for the next day with an exact appointment time. One thing that stood out was that every time he called, he spoke with a different person. I'm not sure what is happening with the dispatch/office processes, but the service seemed disorganized with no regard to customer service or managing expectation.
