I had to ask if they had what I needed because there was no way I could find things on my own. I felt like I was on an episode of hoarders with hair products all around me. At first, the woman helping me couldn't find the hair that I was looking for. I was about to leave, and she found it in a location near the ground where no customer would ever get on their knees to look! I quickly purchased my items and ran out. If I ever return to this beauty supply, the person working there will just have to help me find things. I had to stand in the next aisle over just to see the hair that I was looking at on the wall since it was too close. They probably need to remove about 4 aisles of products for the place to seem normal. 3 Stars

Once inside, that same customer was immediately acknowledged by an employee at the front, while I was completely ignored. Throughout the store, no one checked in or offered assistance--I had to seek help myself. What stood out most was that a woman who appeared to be a manager walked past me multiple times without any acknowledgment. Leadership sets the tone, and the overall customer service reflected that. The one bright spot was my cashier, Ronnita (R-O-N-N-I-T-A). She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She made me feel valued as a customer and was the only saving grace of my visit.

Allowing me to take breaks because they knew that I was VERY pregnant. Now onto why I gave a 3 star rating. The children of the owner and a barber were in the shop, which I don't mind. But they were running all over the place and jumping on the furniture with their sneakers on. I don't think it's a good look because this is where their customers have to sit. If the children are brought to the shop, they need to be given something to do to keep them busy instead of running around. The other thing is that I wanted to pay with card and Bintu advised that if I pay with card, the machine adds a fee but they never know how much, but if I pay in cash it will be the fee they told. Ummm no ma'am. At first I was like ok well if it's a small fee fine, she went to put it in like I was paying with a card and it added $10! I gladly drove to the ATM and pulled the money out. But that's an inconvenience for customers who are ready to go. Either waive the fee or get a new register. I still recommended this place to people because I like their work and I will continue to go to them for my braids.
