Extremely last minute I drove to Mega Beauty Supply - I made sure to get there early in case they didn't have what I needed. I'm so happy my misfortune lead me in this direction. I don't have a favorite hair store in Fredericksburg but now I do! The store was extremely clean & organized. I would have given 5/5 stars but 1) they have a no refund policy and 2) they didn't have enough of the hair color I wanted. But the owner was so friendly and professional. I'll definitely be back! Once inside, that same customer was immediately acknowledged by an employee at the front, while I was completely ignored. Throughout the store, no one checked in or offered assistance--I had to seek help myself. What stood out most was that a woman who appeared to be a manager walked past me multiple times without any acknowledgment. Leadership sets the tone, and the overall customer service reflected that. The one bright spot was my cashier, Ronnita (R-O-N-N-I-T-A). She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She made me feel valued as a customer and was the only saving grace of my visit.

If the children are brought to the shop, they need to be given something to do to keep them busy instead of running around. The other thing is that I wanted to pay with card and Bintu advised that if I pay with card, the machine adds a fee but they never know how much, but if I pay in cash it will be the fee they told. Ummm no ma'am. At first I was like ok well if it's a small fee fine, she went to put it in like I was paying with a card and it added $10! I gladly drove to the ATM and pulled the money out. But that's an inconvenience for customers who are ready to go. Either waive the fee or get a new register. I still recommended this place to people because I like their work and I will continue to go to them for my braids.
