The studio was easy to find and is located in a building behind the Primary and Urgent Care off Garrisonville. I arrived at 11:15 and Savannah was waiting for me. The studio is beautifully decorated and calming. Savannah was extremely personable. She brought me into the room and we went over my skincare goals and any skin issues I experience. I was given a mini-robe, instructed to have my neck and shoulders bare and to lay on the table. The tables are heated which was calming. When Savannah returned she gave me an overview of what she'd be doing to my skin and got to work. After the initial overview, she gave few details as to what she was doing. I know that talking takes away from the relaxing ambience, but since this was my first facial with them, I wanted more information as she did everything. Savannah was very informative in her responses. She was also responsive to my skin needs. Upfront she told me if I had any discomfort to let her know. I have dry, sensitive skin that is prone to irritation, and I anticipated that it might become agitated. Sure enough, at one point my skin was feeling extra tingly. I let her know, and we switched course right away, no fuss. I felt comfortable letting her know immediately, and the transition was seamless. After the facial we went over what she noticed about my skin, my current skincare regime and her suggestions for improvement. She is very knowledgeable, and all of her comments and suggestions were reasonable. I didn't feel like she was trying to sell products or other services. I left with skin that felt and looked amazingly hydrated, as well as relaxed and pampered. I will definitely be back! After waiting two weeks with no refund, I called to follow up and was told they would not issue one. In the end, I was charged despite receiving no service at all. The facility is clean and modern, front desk was friendly and professional, and the Massage therapist was polite and knowledgeable. She used a wide variety of skillful techniques and modalities; a couple of which, were new to me. Her pressure was perfect; not too light, and not too heavy. I did upgrade my massage to a more therapeutic massage, as opposed to a lighter relaxation massage. She used the hot stones correctly, and even incorporated hot towels in the beginning, to relax my muscles. Something I was really surprised about, was the fact that she added stretching to the massage. Although that is certainly something that a therapist is taught, and within their scope of work, I would say in all my years since graduating as a Massage Therapist myself (2012), and in getting massages over the years, I have never had a therapist stretch me as she had (not since leaving school). I thought that I was a pretty "bendy" person (if you're a "Friends" fan, you'll recall Phoebe telling Chandler, "I'm very bendy!"). I try to stretch regularly, and still occasionally do yoga. But today, I realized how unbelievably stiff I am. She pushed and pulled, until I was in the shape of a twisty pretzel. At the end, she did a sugar scrub on my feet. I left feeling quite sore, but it was a good sore. Moving forward, I would request a deep tissue massage, but I just want the hands. The hot stones came with my package, but have never really been a fan favorite of mine; the same with the sugar scrub. The aromatherapy was nice. And I certainly could do without the stretching. I need to work on my stretching routine at home more often, before I can be tugged at and extended to that degree. Still, one of the better massages I've received in the area. I had my first laser before had 8 sessions in Hawaii and their laser was extremely painful this was 2015 but the hair grew back super fast and maybe my hair growth cycle was different then. The laser at flawless is truly FLAWLESS! It's an amazing laser it's not painful and it gets the job done. When I first went there I didn't even need the full package but they told me to do it just to make sure I get the full results which I did! I think you need 9 session or 10 depending on your hair growth cycle and type. I was on birth control so I had way more hair growing and they told me it could be the hormones. Well it's still went away! I got touch ups here and there maybe 3 times every 1 year. Right now it's been a full year and I have not been to the clinic to get laser it's hardly any hair just a little at the top. Enough to only get one treatment for the whole year. I have also tried their laser facials but I will say do this during the winter I think I did mine during the summer with no sunscreen. Do this in the winter with sunscreen but my facial turned out really beautiful on me I would def do that again. It is a bit far from me but they have amazing service extremely professional.
