The owner was very personable and knowledgeable. She didn't hesitate to help me and show me new inventory. I usually went to the other beauty supply store by the mason Dixon cafe but wanted to try possible new hair colors. After talking to the owner for about 30 minutes she just gained a customer for the rest of the time I am here in Va. highly recommend for a trust worthy and honest business.

What stood out most was that a woman who appeared to be a manager walked past me multiple times without any acknowledgment. Leadership sets the tone, and the overall customer service reflected that. The one bright spot was my cashier, Ronnita (R-O-N-N-I-T-A). She was warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. She made me feel valued as a customer and was the only saving grace of my visit.

While she was already being helped, I walked into the store and was greeted by another employee and asked if there was anything I needed to be helped with. The employee helping my mom was helping her locate the item she was looking for based on what she was describing. She even got out the iPad to look in stock for it to be discovered the item we were looking for was discontinued, unfortunately. The employee was very patient in helping us on our little hunt. Aside from that, the store is well kept and organized with seemingly multiple sales going on for various brands and items.

I asked about the edge-wax she was using because i was interested in buying. She mentioned -They were running low and only gad one left. I cane back 2.5 weeks later and got my hair done and my 5 year olds hair braided. She used a different gel than she gad used prior in my first service. When she finished my daughters hair (2 cornrows) her hair was white. It was like flakes and dried gel all over. They acted as if they couldn't notice. She finishes her hair and I'm still not completely satisfied. The braids were uneven and skinny at the ends.I refused to pay until it was fixed. They damped a rag and wiped it off and used a different gel ( both gels they stated they never used before) and sat her under the dryer. Once finished- it wasn't that noticeable that gel was used. Only here and there in certain spots but i tried to tell them it would need to be rewashed because wiping gel isn't taking it out of the hair. I told them it would flake up again and it did an hour after we left. I texted them to tell her and say it needed to be fixed or a refund should be given. She replies ok bring her back tomorrow i replied wont be able to make it until Wednesday evening and she said ok. I show up yesterday (Wednesday) and she says she need a ride to the store because they don't have the "good" edge-wax that they used in my first service. Every gel they had in stock flakes . At that point i was pissed. Its a beauty supply store and they don't have the necessary products to fix my daughters hair . She didn't even have the courtesy to call/text me in advance to ask me to get the products beforehand. She waited until I'm there at 6:45pm to get my child's hair redone. I took her to DG and she got the products and redid her hair. The finished result was decent. They are So unprofessional and I wont be returning EVER! I attached the photo i sent to her to do my daughters like the photo. Looks horrible.

Everything is perfectly placed and positioned, It can be a bit overwhelming at first even though you may have visited one of their stores before. From any point in the store you can see almost everything there is to see. I feel like the products are automatically more alluring with the newer layout. I can in looking for hand soaps but got so distracted I spent more time in the store than I planned on. Especially with the registers at the very back of the store you are almost forced to take it all in. The staff is very polite and friendly. They too the time to make sure I found everything I was looking for and even showed me a few things I was not aware of, like the lux version of the hand soaps I already had in my hands. Although this location can be out of the way for me, whenever I am in the area, I will be sure to stop in!
