I was pressed for time once and had only my credit card with me. Apparently saying the word credit card in this business is the equivalent of uttering "Voldemort" in the Harry Potter universe. When I politely asked if I could receive an invoice and pay with cash at my next opportunity I was flatly denied and was forced to see if I could round up the change in my car, as I was leaving that day on a trip and would need the item that was repaired. I was literally short like .50 cents and this horrible woman still refused to grant my request. She proceeded to interrogate me in front of other customers in a way that was quite vulgar and impolite and I could not wait to leave that place. The person that was so rude was apparently named Linda, which also happens to be my Mom's name but she's actually nice! I have never forgotten how disrespectfully I was treated, and will always tell people to avoid Irene's at all costs. Surely the business' namesake would not approve of the way customers are treated there.

The hours are not consistent. The door does not actually match their operating hours…read more The quality of work is not consistent. I often get clothes back just as dirty as I brought them in - even when I point out stains. I once had alterations done and they did a good job very quick. It was a last minute rush request and the woman was so nice to work with me and made sure I had my dress back in time for a formal event out of time. It was a two day turn around and I truly appreciate that. But I am often underwhelmed and disappointed with the appearance of my drycleaning when I get my clothes back. I try to stick to only bringing in those items with no stains but that defeats the purpose
