Stay as far away from this place as you can! The most rude, unmannerly woman I have ever encountered in any business in my life works here. I was pressed for time once and had only my credit card with me. Apparently saying the word credit card in this business is the equivalent of uttering "Voldemort" in the Harry Potter universe. When I politely asked if I could receive an invoice and pay with cash at my next opportunity I was flatly denied and was forced to see if I could round up the change in my car, as I was leaving that day on a trip and would need the item that was repaired. I was literally short like .50 cents and this horrible woman still refused to grant my request. She proceeded to interrogate me in front of other customers in a way that was quite vulgar and impolite and I could not wait to leave that place. The person that was so rude was apparently named Linda, which also happens to be my Mom's name but she's actually nice! I have never forgotten how disrespectfully I was treated, and will always tell people to avoid Irene's at all costs. I went there to get a chorus dress hemmed and first of all, they charged $20 more than the usual price. Second of all, when I get it back, I get the wrong dress. The designs are similar, but differentiate enough to easily tell the difference. They weren't even the same sizes. 8 sizes apart. It was a $60 dress. I would NEVER go back there again. I have used Irene's twice in the past and was very satisfied. That being said my third experience not so much. We purchased a suit for my husband over July fourth weekend, dropped the suit off at Irene's, minor alterations completed hubby picked up his suit 7/8/16. Fast forward to today 8/16/16 . Packing for our trip back home for a wedding and I remove the suit from its garment bag to find a different suit coat then the one we purchased. Yes 50% my husbands fault but 50% is on this business. Neither Linda or Wanda accepted responsibility and of course the lapse in time was used to there advantage. If you use this service be alert. Details do matter.
