This is not the contractor you want. Please read before hiring. Everything here is documented with…read morereceipts, emails, text messages, photos and security camera footage to provide truth to this review. Unprofessional doesn't begin to explain this. We hired Kelly-Rose / KO Electric to help finish 2 rooms, and some exterior work. She was issued a check for the down payment to start work, as requested, which she of course cashed. They showed up 45 minutes late day one to start work, and late every day after. The work started Monday, and was supposed to be finished by Friday. It's now Friday and they are still a minimum of 2 days from completion on the interior work, let alone never starting the exterior work. They worked about 3 hours each day on Wednesday and Thursday. It has been raining, so I understand the exterior, but the interior is not acceptable. Wednesday and Thursday they worked approximately 3 hours a day, which I have proof of on my camera system. She will text you at inappropriate hours of the night, and apparently get you involved with her not paying her employees/contractors, warning you to call the police if her employees show up drunk at your home after midnight, as seen in screenshots (how fun!) The material list (from Kelly-Rose) was constantly wrong requiring me to go to HD/Menards every day of the project for more forgotten materials, and now to return unneeded or excess materials. The job was not estimated accurately, plain and simple. We opted to buy materials as we had around 1/3 of it purchased previously, but would have never expected to have to do so many trips. I was constantly lending my own tools to give a hand to the contractors we hired to do the work, which is just not normal, or professional. You would expect contractors to have everything they need to do the job. She suggests that all of the poorly cut pine trim which meets tongue & groove wood paneling just needs a little plaster to fill the 1/2" to 3/4" overhanging edges (pictured). Clearly plaster is not wood, and large ramped up corners of plaster is not acceptable, nor would it ever match the look of wood paneling, let alone look acceptable. Last but not least, she leaves a large contractor bag of all of the construction garbage in our driveway when she picked up her tools (pictured). Do yourself a favor and check references before hiring someone like this. This was a circus.

I scheduled a visit from this company to get a quote for generator installation to replace an old…read moregenerator. After waiting for 3 hours for the tech to arrive I got a message saying that he would be late (at least another hour). I had to run some errands, so I explained where the existing generator was to the office contact and told her that there was no need for the tech to talk to us because none of the work required inside access. The tech came when we were out (I caught him on our surveillance cameras) and inspected the location of the old generator, then left. Two days went by and there was no follow up (no contact at all) from the office about my quote. Over the next week I asked three more times and got no response. The word "Fail" in their name is appropriate - THEY FAIL TO MEET EVEN MINIMAL STANDARDS FOR RESPONSIVENESS.

Out of the 3, I chose Fail Safe Electric. They were the most knowledgeable. They were able to start right away and came on time. The electrician that installed the Tesla charger was super helpful. We chatted about placement and what was best for my garage and car placement. I had a situation where the easiest installation for the electrical contractor would have been a pain for me to charge each night. I would have needed to back my car in. So, the electrician went above and beyond and spent extra time and resources on project to accommodate me. He said and I quote, "I just really want you to be happy with your setup, that's the most important thing" I really impressed with Lou and Pete. I will call them for any electrical needs in the future. If you need a Tesla charger for your new car, call them!

Update to review 11/26/24 from original 5 star review:…read more I had Trinity back out to my home on 11/26 to replace 4 outdoor wall light fixtures. On the phone, I was quoted that the work would be appx 275-300 dollars to complete. A quote was never emailed to me. On the day of the work, the lights were installed to satisfaction and I approached the technician about some quotes to troubleshoot an outdoor outlet that wasn't tripping as well as to take a look at quoting what it would cost to convert my garage from 15 to 20 AMP service. This took the technician appx. another 45 minutes to quote these issues (which he didn't have time to fix), yet when he brought in the final bill, I was charged a jaw dropping fee of $495. This is a significant departure from the $275-$300 that I was initially quoted, and does not reflect one additional hour of labor. (Even less than that, in reality- closer to 45 minutes.) The tech arrived at 12:00PM and completed all work at 2:38PM, timestamped on my Nest camera. The last 10-15 mins of the time he was at my house he was in his vehicle, presumably writing up an invoice. The bill also incurred a $45 service fee, which was never discussed with me over the phone. In addition, the fact that the technician would not have any ability or time to fix the outdoor outlet that was not grounding properly during my appointment was not discussed with me. I called Phil on the phone who was courteous, but unwilling to adjust the price. He stated that a $45 service fee was standard (and actually stated that I somehow had a 5 dollar discount on mine...) yet I am really struggling to figure out how this would have played a part in the initial quote of $275-300 for a job that was estimated to take approximately two hours of labor. He also stated that he could have charged me for additional screws and caulking supplies.... (This would have been a max of 15-20 dollars). Bottom line- I've had good experiences with Phil and Trinity in the past, and they seem to do good work. But charging me just under $500 to hang four outdoor lights and spend a bit of extra time calculating a plan/quote on how to address additional issues but not having time to address them has been extremely off putting and I can't help but feel taken. I did my best to have a courteous conversation with him over the phone, but again he was unwilling to budge. I've used Trinity in the past but I'm not sure I'll be consulting their services in the future or recommending them to coworkers unless we can address this. Original review: Extremely professional and prompt communication. Showed up on time and performed quality, clean work at a fair price. I will be using this company for all future electrical work.
