The menu has salads with warm shrimp or chicken, a dig a station of grilled provolone cheese, your usual meets with slight twists like a eggplant dip on top of your roasted potatoes with your steak. They bring a bread basket with two slices of tomato focaccia, two slices of a cherry wheat bread, one dense white roll and a slice if a soft white bread. It was served with a pickle aioli topped with shredded marinated carrots. Very light and fresh. We tried the empanadas (3 for $155) and they were made with chopped beef and lots of smoky paprika. It was almost too flavorful and great with the pickle aioli. The warm langoustine salad had only five langoustines (which were nicely seasoned and perfectly tender) but lots of arugula and frisée. The arugula was a bit overpowering versus the langoustines. It had 3 thin slices of grilled peach and 3 thin slices of avocado. It also had about 10 cherry tomatoes and two long homemade breadsticks. The salad was lightly dressed in a lemon vinaigrette. Very fresh, light salad. We also had the small ribeye with roasted potatoes topped with an eggplant spread and a small salad. All great flavors. We had asked for the ribeye to come without the cheese but they forgot. We took it off and ate it separately. Service was friendly and efficient. Certainly a modern version if an Argentinean steakhouse.

The meat was a bit overcooked. We didn't eat there but we had a beer while we waited for our food and chatted it up with the staff.. they didn't speak much English but it didn't stop us from having a cool convo

First, I was by myself, which sometimes makes servers nervous - but Camila handled it w no problem, she did bring out the wrong wine at first but I caught it before she had touched the cork (I mean, I'm in Mendoza, should we be drinking anything else except Malbec?!?)... and OMG the wine was spectacular! I chose the top bottle from one of the bodegas I will visit tmrw, and was so happy I did! (I mean, I'm in Argentina and I'm gonna be worried about an extra $10 for a bottle of great wine?!?) Well, I also disappoint my vegan and vegetarian friends on this kind of trip, and holy moly the Ojo de Bife was spectacular!!! And of course, order it jugoso (juicy) to be closer to rare than you will otherwise find. The only issue for the whole night? I asked for mushrooms and they had none! I suggested they get some and add it to their sides... let's get the world eating steak, one added mushroom at a time! Highly recommended!

We stayed in central Mendoza and it was only a six minute walk from our hotel. The inside has a gorgeous ambiance with several tables for two or four. It's very nicely decorated! We chose to go with the four course meal when making our reservation and it's a good thing we did because it was SO much food!! The food itself was excellent and the rib eye might be the best I've ever had. Each course was lovely and they did a great job of explaining the ingredients to us. We also got the wine pairing with each course. We ended the night with coffee and petit fours. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone going to Mendoza! It's delicious and reasonably priced for the quality and experience!

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary last night at Azafrán…read more The space is beautiful, the staff -- reservations, host, sommelier and waiter Valentina -- was super helpful. We opted for the four-course tasting menu. (The seven course option is just too much for me.) My wife had the wine pairings; I had a glass of fabulous local Cabernet Sauvignon with the main course. I assume the menu changes with seasons so I won't bore you with descriptions except to say that each was lovely. There was an emphasis on local dishes deconstructed and put back together by a Michelin one-star chef. All in all, it was a lovely meal, in beautiful ambience, with amazing service. And a very happy anniversary. One tip: the restaurant's website indicated they were fully booked. I sent a WhatsApp message and it turned out they indeed had a table available.

Finding NADIA O.F. was an unexpected surprise that made our dinning experience in Mendoza to…read moreanother level. We came here based on the recommendation from our hotel and some locals on a Sunday night, we loved it so much that we came back again on the following Thursday night. We had most wonderful dinning experience on both nights. The restaurant is located in a beautiful establishment where you enter through a lovely garden. It's very spacious but yet very intimate. The entire restaurant is beautiful and well decorated. They only serve a 6 course menu, but if you have special diet requirement like myself, they will be able to accommodate it for you. You just need to tell them in advance when you make reservation. The restaurant is owned by a winery and it is absolutely worthwhile to add wine pairing for the 6 course menu. They change the menu once a week and for the main course you have 3 options. Everything from the appetizers to desert were exquisite. Every single plate was beautifully presented and every dish was delicious. For both nights, my hubby chose the Rib Eye Steak, he loves his steaks cooked in pittsburgh style and they were cooked the way it should be. I am pescetarian, unfortunately they don't cook seafood, thus they prepare vegetarian plates for me and I was very happy with each dish I had. The service was also impeccable, the waitresses knew the dish very well, they were friendly, attentive and were able to recommend good wine. There was no price listed on the menu, we were a bit worried that it might be really expensive. But when the bill came, it was between 1000 - 1200 pesos for both of us, which is pretty much the same or just slightly more than other restaurants we have been in Mendoza. At the end of the meals, the chef Nadia herself even came out to say hi to us. She was lovely and very passionate about fine dining. I am very surprised that NADIA O.F. isn't already listed in Yelp and highly recommend it.

Funny, there were lots of bees there. But not bothersome; no reason to hide. The fried eggs- done just right. Soft yokes bursted on bread. The veggies were ripe too, Tomato was the perfect red. I wish this place was in denver. So I could go another time. But it's only in Argentina, So I'll end this rhyme.
