In short: avoid if you have celiac disease, this place is just another one cashing in on the fad…read more Been here twice, the first time, the gf pizza was good, although not free from cross contamination. The second time it was literally inedible. They explained they sometimes make bad batches of gf pizza dough so couldn't even remake it. We were sat outside and we could hear the staff laughing about it inside, the joke was that I'd sent it back because 'it needed more gluten', har har. Not impressed at all. The service was pretty awful both visits, aside from the problem with the 2nd visit, and terrible attitude. Service was slow and I had to ask several times for our drinks. It's an extra £2 if you have to eat gluten free, so you'd expect they'd know how to make it consistently. But no, they're not bothered about how the food tastes if it's gluten free. I should just be grateful they offer the choice. If you have celiacs and like gambling, then I would recommend. You've got a chance of eating decent pizza, and getting a stomach ache, or you might leave with nothing! Roll those dice... then wait half an hour to find out what your prize is.... Or, if you go to an 'award winning' pizza place to eat pizza, then probably give it a miss and go somewhere that knows how to make what's on their menu. Owner is now claiming not suitable for celiacs, different story when you go in. Not to mention the use of 'gluten express use 'no gluten containing ingredients'. I do make sure to review restaurants using these terms in bad faith, as it protects others with the same disease from harm.

Decent pub, well located in the middle of the campus although smallish car park for anyone that is…read moredriving. The service is good although there weren't many staff on, the food is traditional pub food with a few American twists to keep it up to date. There were a number of things not available when I went however the university was closed so I would think that during term time it wouldn't be a problem. Service was good although again one of my colleagues said when it's busy you can wait for a while for a meal. Overall I would say it's ok and for a uni pub it's one of the best in the area, it most certainly isn't the type of place for a quiet drink though as it gets quite loud.

Pretty run of the mill for a student bar, some of the staff were amazing and some were clueless…read more We went in here for a "quick meal" before going to a cosplay/formal ball later that night. Note the funny rabbit ears around the word quick as they will come back later on. Its a lively place with people constantly in and out so we opted for the terrace which overlooks the campus and was gorgeous in the summer sun. Myself and Jen ordered first, simple fare with a risotto and a red thai curry of the mainstream variety. And now the rabbit ears come into play! We waited....and waited....and our friend ordered....and waited then they finished and we waited some more. the first staff member we asked was limited in her vocabulary to im sorry ummm im sorry?. After this we found out it hadnt been passed onto the kitchen. We spoke to another staff member 5 minutes later who had a full range of social vocabulary. She told us it wasnt put through at first, now it had and that there was a wait time. We also got offered a free drink for the trouble which was a saving touch. Finally the food arrived and it was tasty enough for pub grub if a little on the small side. Would go back to try it again and hope for better this time. It was busier than usual with the over 1000 people who came to the convention that weekend so i can easily give them a pass lol.

3 times a charm! We thought we'd be safe scoring a table for 4 for dinner at 5:30 PM, but…read moreapparently we forgot about the theater crowd in Stratford. After being turned away from 2 restaurants we found a good meal at Edward Moon. My meal... Appetizer: Crab/shrimp cocktail. It was covered in mayo (ick!) and therefore inedible. Don't order unless you're a mayo fan. Entrée: Seabass. Covered in lots of cream, but fortunately I liked this cream sauce a lot more than I like mayo. It was also served on a bed of spring onion risotto, which was even better than the actual seabass. Dessert: The Americans at the table decided on apple pie- go figure. While the one Brit at the table decided on some sort of banana pie. Both desserts were equally incredible, but the real winner of the evening was the hot chocolate with irish bailey. By far the best hot chocolate I've ever had....and it helped me sleep like a baby on the train going back to London right after our meal.

Lunch is served. Pleasantly greeted and brought to a table by the window, where we could watch the world walk by as we enjoyed our meal. A nice list of specials on the blackboard, plus a "special" menu with the regular menu. My traveling companion opted for the scampi, which was cooked in the English style of a breaded fish nugget and served with chips. I went with the two course meal, choosing a pate and relish starter and a burger as my main. The pate was quite strong and the relish cut it well. The burger was a bit on the plain side as were the chips. No draught beers, but they did have a reasonable selection of bottled offerings. I chose the Leffe, a Belgian favorite. The prices were decent, especially considering this is a fancy sit-down restaurant on the 'main drag' of Shakespeare's village.

I witnessed yesterday what I consider to be the worst piece of customer service and embarrassing…read moremanagement that I can ever recall. A young couple came in to order drinks at a quiet time for the pub in the afternoon. The card machine seemed to not be working and this couple after trying repeatedly to pay for their drinks were told to return their drinks to the bar from outside, as they like most people of their generation were not carrying any cash. I felt acutely embarrassed for them as they were obviously made to feel extremely uncomfortable by the lack of empathy shown both by the serving barmaid and by the manager who was called. The drinks were then disposed of and the couple left, I'm sure never to return. I certainly will not return myself either as this episode of lack of understanding, compassion and downright rudeness on the part of the Orange Tree left such a bitter taste in my mouth.

Her customer service skills were very poor with how she treated us as patrons. She confused out orders and even lied about the drink service. She told me it was regular coke when she obviously served us Diet Coke. My cousin ordered 2 meals and one was to go. She did not put in that order and when we were getting ready to leave proceed to tell us that "It's not like when you are in America and you get to order things to go and rice cannot be taken off the premises" I have never heard of this before in any of the countries I have visited yet alone in the UK. She was rude and unprofessional and the food was equally unimpressive. I would not recommend this place to anyone!
