I recently had my first visit at Paragon Dentistry, specifically with Dr. Jason Hui, for a routine cleaning, and I'm very happy that I went to them. The hygienist, whose name I believe was Kathleen, was outstanding, and I made a point to make sure she'd be the one cleaning my teeth when I go back in six months. I didn't spend as much time with Dr. Hui because there was no need to, but he did a great job of explaining the examination and X-ray results and what I can expect on future visits. I'm very glad to have found this practice, definitely plan to go back, and certainly recommend them to others.

Her waiting room feels intentionally designed to help lower anxiety, and the office environment is incredibly comforting. As a cancer survivor with a heart valve replacement, my medical history is complex. Dr. Coke was upfront, comforting, and let me know exactly where I stood. She has a rare ability to communicate with an anxious patient without making the anxiety worse. She honestly advised me that she believes my case requires hospital-level medical coordination, and explained that she no longer performs procedures requiring that level of hospital integration. Unlike another local oral surgeon who completely ghosted me and left me in limbo, her honesty was a breath of fresh air. When I needed my records sent last-minute for an upcoming appointment with a hospital surgeon, her staff was incredibly happy to help. His explanation benefit showed that he should have been billed $401.80 After complaining to my insurance, they refunded $4000 dollars and kept $700 additional dollar. check your explanation of benefit always. While I was literally still lying back in the dental chair, she approached me and pressured me to pay the bill up front. They asked me to pay $122 out-of-pocket for a pulp cap without even submitting a claim. After I forced them to submit it, my EOB showed I only owed $13.20, yet they illegally kept the $56 in-network plan discount instead of fully refunding me. - The dentist gave me a numbing injection and left to see another patient. She took so long to return that the anesthesia wore off, forcing me to endure a second round of injections just to get the filling done. - They submitted a pre-determination to my insurance for a crown, which was never once discussed with me. I was only there for a basic filling. Always double-check your EOB before paying this clinic a dime.
