Very good! Very helpful, good prices. She is so happy with the bike that she got there

Brought in a three speed cruiser with internal hub transmission issue. They do bikes in order received, so I had to wait a couple days, but they fixed it for twenty six bucks. Honesty there, they could have told me it was much worse. They even washed it! read more

Bought a bike that was quote "put together" paid over 1300 for it. Took it back to see what they would give me back or put towards a trade and they could give me a price because they couldn't find how much it was worth. Trusted these guys and they screwed me over never going back. read more

Very nice assortment of useful products to buy but the labor price to fix a flat tire is way too much at $60. When I was told the price it would be to patch my one tube I was mind blown. And the tire was extremely wobbly. That I had to fix myself. I can't recommend his services but does carry great products read more

Great shop! Super nice and friendly easy service. Owner was really nice and helped me out.

The staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. They gave me an estimate to fix my bike up front and it was accurate. Super fast. I appreciate your the kindness! read more

The team here did a great service when they worked on my NINER. A few months later, I ended buying a gravel bike. They offered me one year finance same as cash. How can you say no to that? This place is awesome! read more

Have been by twice now and the first time encountered great customer service, the second time not so much. The two guys working the second time didn't seem to be as knowledgeable, I think one was new. I needed my tube replaced on the back tire and it took a few tries before he could get it back on but after getting it home it now makes a scraping noise when I pedal like maybe my brake is rubbing, I'm not sure. The first time I took it in though for the front tube everything came out great. read more

Come to this bike store! Everyone was so helpful. I called in the morning and asked if I could bring my bike in because I was having difficulty with a valve and Carlos told me to come on in. Once there, Chris showed me what was going on with my bike and took the time to explain so many other bike-related issues I was having. Great experience at Gotta Ride Bikes! read more

Stopped by on my lunch break on a business trip in San Antonio. Found staff to be very friend and knowledgeable. Bought a replacement pair of gloves which I had been having trouble finding since mine are wearing out. Good selection, clean well lit store and prices comparable to most shops I have visited. I would recommend. read more

This place is very nice. The woman who works here is a very nice and understanding person. I actually got one of my bikes here and it is just great. As the repair service is great and so convenient read more

If you want high quality biking gear, this is the place to go. Customer Service was excellent. I told the guy there what I needed and he went above and beyond to help me with recommendations, his knowledge on bikes and what kinds of bikes to use and what gear goes best with them, and comparing prices to other stores. He could've insisted on the merchandise in the store, but instead he told me and my mom where to get cheaper biking pads for knees and elbows. He stopped me from buying the bike lock there and recommended higher quality bike locks with Kryptonite. He helped me figure out which helmet was best and I'm grateful he was there for me and my mom who don't know a lot about bikes. I bought my helmet and bike lights there and the price was worth it--a good investment in high quality gear. The only thing I regret is not having known of the store sooner to get a bike from here. My boyfriend recommended the place since he bought his bike here and was super satisfied with the hybrid bike he got. He rides it to work and school every day. read more

Son profesionales y saben lo que hacen.... Te la entregan el mismo día. Yo lleve 2 grandes y una mediana, todas quedaron súper bien

Although I did not end up buying the bike I want, my friend bought his. It was a pleasant buying and for me window shopping experience yesterday. Carlos was so patient and was never pushy. Very polite and answers even the silliest question we asked him. He look so very young and yet he know a lot and already have a very excellent customer service. Once I'm ready to buy my own bicycle, we'll surely come back here and ask for Carlos to help is out. I hope the manager owner will commend this young man, an asset to his team. read more

This is my jam! I appreciate the mechanics at this wee bike shop that seems across the world from me! But I make the journey because the communication and honesty I get from these people is top notch. If you're looking for honest, reliable, clean and speedy, look no further! read more

A great little shop. Shout out to Evan and the guys over there. A great place for bike advice and getting your bike serviced. I'm getting back on the bike after a number of years with no riding due to injuries. Good to stop by some of the local bike shops again. Glad to see that there's still some around. Due to COVID, quite a few of them are going away. Or they're being bought up by the big manufacturers. So be sure to frequent your local, independently owned and operated bike shops. read more

Very informative and personable! I got a bike for the 1st time and they were so helpful and had bikes that were reasonably priced. I went to several bike shops in the San Antonio area. They were the best! They also give you a discount on the whole store for a year when you purchase a bike from them. They also service bikes and offered and suggested I bring my bike every few rides in the beginning to tighten and adjust the bike. I love my bike and will continue to use them. read more

Knowledgeable and friendly staff got my issue repaired quickly. If you need a repair or a new bike, you should go there.

I'm so happy I bought a bike from here! Everyone is extremely friendly and helpful. I'm a newbie and they are patient in explaining different features of my bike, accessories, and about riding in general. They mounted my lights and changed the position of my seat as I became more comfortable. The products and service here are superb!! I will buy any future biking stuff here and I recommend anyone come here for tune ups. read more

I had a flat tire and Chris went out of his way to help me get my flat spare inflated so I could get to the tire shop. He's was kind and accommodating. I know that the next time I'm shopping for a bike this is the store with excellent customer service that I will buy from. Thanks so much Chris! read more

Great, prompt service. Thank you for taking such great care--and for searching for a great deal on a part. This team really went above and beyond! read more

I had a rough spill today, bending front and rear derailleurs pretty badly. I walked in, expecting 1) to leave the bike for a long time and 2) to cost a lot of money. Neither of which happened. They looked at it, put it up, fixed the front and back, adjusted the tension, fixed the bent handle flipper/brake. $27. Had the bike back in 20 minutes while I waited. I was happy to purchase a good helmet to support their amazing service (plus a 10% military discount on the helmet!) We'll be back and we're telling all our friends. read more

The staff (Chris & Evan) were incredibly helpful, patient and knowledgeable. I purchased a part for my bike and Chris was able to get it installed quickly for no additional charge while many other bike shops were wanting to charge extra dollars. Being a novice in the sport, I had lots of questions and I received lots of unbiased great feedback to help me make better buying decisions. Both staff members have well over 15 years of biking experience which helped with the conversation and credibility. Incredible staff and I will be taking my bikes there for regular service moving forward. Thank you Chris! Keep up the great work. read more

OUTSTANDING!! I came in to get my wheel looked at and see about getting a new thru axle. The nice guys in the shop approached me as I entered the shop. They were very welcoming and attentive. Helped take care of my concerns and gave me the heads up on the trail systems out here. Being from Az, the guys helped point me in the right directions with any questions that I had. They were willing to place an order for me but given the length of time that I'll be here, I declined. The product selection is minimal but has all the right stuff. Prices are reasonable. The shop was clean, organized and well lit. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this shop as it's a real mechanics shop with guys that know their stuff! read more

I really enjoyed visiting this shop. Billy was very friendly and helpful when I brought in my bike. He trued my bike wheel. I also purchased a few parts that I needed. Merchandise in clearance were priced great! My thing with bike shops is that sometimes they can be a little intimidating for a casual biker, and parts can be overpriced, but at Gotta Ride Bikes they are super accommodating and honest, I highly doubt that you would get taken advantage of here! Happy customer, will definitely shop here again. read more

Even though they were very busy and backed up, the technician took a quick look at my bike and helped me fix a problem I was having, and answered all of my dumb questions. Can't recommend this shop more, 10/10, 100% great people. read more

I took my bike in for service. I specified two problems. I could tell the guy was not paying attention to one of them, so I explained it again. I emphasized that it was a noise from the crank, and would only be apparent in a hard ride (e.g., uphill). He assured me that they always gave bikes a good test ride to identify problems. He said the bike would be done Tuesday. It wasn't. When it was done, I went in. He had no clue about the crank problem. He said he wasn't there when they did the repairs -- which apparently means he did not write down what I told him twice. But they would have detected it anyway, if they had taken the bike for a good test ride as promised. So apparently that didn't happen either. What they did try to fix was a problem with the rear shifter. He had said something about it when I took the bike in. I had told him that this was not one of the two problems that I had in mind. But they fixed it anyway. Apparently they replaced the shifter or the cable. That cost me $38. I might have been able to fix it with WD-40. The bike is eight years old, and not worth much on the market. I don't want to pay to replace everything that could be replaced on it. They must have done something to the front shifter too, but it seems they did not take the bike for a good test ride after doing their repairs. When I took it out, on the first ride, the front derailleur was sometimes failing to get the chain onto the large front sprocket. When he explained the repairs at the time of pickup, he said they had bent an aluminum part back into place. It's normally not a good idea to bend aluminum back and forth: it breaks easily. I hadn't noticed anything that needed bending. What I had actually said, when I took the bike in, was that it had two problems. One was the crank problem (above). The other was that the chain was skipping sometimes under load. The guy assumed this was due to a problem with the shifter. But I told him clearly that it was not: the bike was in gear X before the skip; the chain skipped; and the bike was still in gear X after the skip. Not a shifting issue! There was another worker standing nearby, when I picked up the bike, but apparently nobody was authorized to take responsive measures in real time. Their authorization (or perhaps their concern) appeared to be limited to telling me that, in effect, I could just write it off as a wasted trip, leave the bike for another week, and hope they would get it right. I think the better strategy would have been for them to use the telephone, a day or two after I dropped the bike off; tell me what a real test ride had revealed; and confirm what they were going to do. This seemed reasonable; it was what would happen if I dropped the car off to have a mechanic figure out why it was making an unfamiliar noise. The owner responded to this review, and so did another employee. I emailed a reply to the latter. He didn't reply. The owner tried again. Eventually we spoke. He seemed very motivated to get things done right. We talked for 15 minutes. I told him I'd raise this review from one star to three, and maybe at some point I'd take the bike back and they could try again. Based on what I understood from the owner, it still wasn't entirely clear that the guys in the shop were acknowledging any errors or arrogance -- in which case it seemed I had done the right thing to take the bike home and basically give up on them. I may take it back there at some point, or I may just go elsewhere. But in any case, I did appreciate the owner's effort. read more

Wide array of bike, gear and equipment. Staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, and got me all hooked up with cycle gear.

We visited five or more shops over the course of a month and a half. Richard and team were the first shop to make us comfortable with the whole process. Very knowledgeable, no pressure, no up-sell and a very laid back pace. No bad mouthing the competition. Very professional. Plenty of advise, plenty of time to test ride, GREAT prices, and no sales pressure. We purchased two bikes, a trailer, a ride along, helmets, a car bike rack and more. Everything was assembled, perfectly aired, mounted/installed, etc. And did I mention great prices? We heatedly recommend Gotta Ride Bikes above any other shop in San Antonio. read more

Rude! After a month of researching mountain bikes I finally decided on the Scott SPARK RC 900 WORLD CUP AXS a $7300.00 bike. I got in my car and drove to Gotta Ride Bikes, the only place in San Antonio that carries the bike to order it. I got there as someone was walking out and was basically standing in the doorway when a staff member said "we are only allowing 2 people in the store at a time, we'll be with you as soon as we can" and he rudely shut the door on my face, leaving me standing in the sun without giving me the chance to ask how long he thought it would be or to ask if they would let me know when, if a sat in my car. I understand COVID safety but it's a myth that you have to be a complete ass to be safe. Gotta Ride Bikes you just made a sale for Trek and the Supercaliber, my close second choice. read more

I ordered some Castelli sun sleeves from Amazon, supplied by Gotta Ride Bikes (GRB), and after a few washings, the upper arm band seam was coming undone. I live far from their store, but would definitely shop there if I were closer! read more

We bought a bike a few ago from Walmart for my son, but he never really learned to ride due to balance issues (ears). So he finally decided he wanted to try again so he can ride with his friends. But his bike was in kind of rough shape. We went into this bike shop looking for a pump. One of the service guys picked up on my lack of knowledge and offered to look at the bike after. Bike did need a new tube and tire. He basically gave the bike a tune up and even gave my son some advice so he could learn to ride his bike. We walked out paying less than a bike pump! 45 minutes later my son has learned to ride the bike (going straight and braking ). As my son improves, I plan to pop in a buy my son a few things. Love small business, service like no other! read more

A bit diffrent than the usual review for this place. I first went to them with my racing wheelchair that was having issues with breaks. Not a bike but they were fantastic with the repairs. I later took them my every day wheelchair for wheel work. There were terrible problems with the wheels and they sorted them out even though it was a LOT of work. Tired had to be ordered but I'm sure once they come in everything will be great. The staff there is always way above par and go out of there way to make you feel welcome. read more
