Drove up from North Royalton to spend a sunny summer day at the lake. Had the lobster corn dog, deep fried lobster tail that was awesome. We had lobster risotto, Mahi Mahi and the honey garlic chicken, all terrific. The services was great and the view from the patio was awesome. Staff was great and very attentive. Just two of their own brewed beer, but the amber lager is worth a try. If you are in Geneva on the Lake you must come here for a drink and the food. read more

We've been here a number of times over the years. The outdoor space is great for sunsets over the lake, but this time we stayed inside the spacious restaurant. I've never seen the 800 degree black rock steaks before here and had to try it out. Glad I did! It turned out great! I wish there were some better side options and I feel the price was a tad steep when you are doing the cooking. Afterwards, we went outside to the bar area by the deck and lake to listen to some live music and have some drinks. The bar service was fairly slow. Overall, I like this place and it is typically a regular stop every time we visit GOTL. I'm sure we will be back. read more

Zero stars. We walked in and stood for 20 min without acknowledgment at the hostess stand despite the manager and the bartender looking at us... and we had a reservation! We went to the bartender to ask about seating and she didn't seem to care. We finally were seated and the table top was irreparably wobbly. We asked to be seated at a functional table. The manager came out to talk to us and proceeded to tell us we could sit where he told us to sit or we could leave. I've never been treated so rudely in my entire life. We left immediately and talked to two other parties waiting for tables on the way out. They also left and we all went to Murphy's where we were seated immediately and received excellent service. read more

Some of the employees were pleasant and energetic; others looked depressed and clearly did not enjoy being there. The pros: large food portions, great drink selection, good bar food and many plate selections, fair prices. I LOVED the lb order of boneless wings (looks like 2lb); don't be fooled by their appearance, they are tasty! My wife said the Pesto Turkey Sandwich is fabulous! WARNiNG!! Do not order a Martini. While most beer prices are good, a $13 martini that is poorly made and put in a 4oz translucent cup from Kroger and regular teeny olives is a TERRIBLE drink to serve and charge for. read more

Came in last week with some family. Good beer selection (2 of their own on tap), great view. Strange service rule where you can't order only sides, you have to order an entree. It was a hot day and we had some vegetarians with us so a few of them opted to just not order anything (server was super nice about it, we even talked to the manager and she was super apologetic about it, but you know, resturant rules). One person did get a (somewhat overpriced) steak and there was a lot of gristle and fat on it so it wasnt quality at all, also there were leaking vents in the ceiling and they continued to sit people underneath them. The risotto abs asparagus were perfectly cooked. We also had the crab cakes. Three come with the appetizer. They were very good. One of the better ones I've had! They had a dj playing music outside. GOTL has a few of their own beers plus beers from other breweries. I went with a sour from another brewery that was very tasty and my husband went with a GOTL larger. The menu had a lot of great options for dinner. We were only going for an appetizer and went with the giant soft pretzel. It can with mustard and cheese which was very tasty. In short don't go! Waste of time horrible service long waits and we never got our food).....We came on a Friday night. There were only 3 tables seated inside. The patio was full though. 2 people were ahead of us waiting for a patio table. My friend and I stood by the sign that said please wait to be seated as multiple employees walked past and never greeted us. (About 15/20 mins of waiting) Finally the hostess came back to take the 2 ahead of us. Quickly says I'll be with u and off she went. A few minutes later she comes back informs us that there are no tables outside. We asked if we can sit at the outside bar until one opens. She said great I'll come get you (she did not come get us as we watched other ppl be seated) she found it more important to wrap plastic ware. (I walked past her on the way to the restroom) again no acknowledgment. We finally get a beer at the bar (they were super busy) a high top opened by the bar and we placed a food order with our beer and moved over in sight of the bar tender. My friend tried to pay upfront for everything he said it was okay we can pay at the end. To wrap it up we sat for another 45/50 mins and guess what. Our food was never entered. The waitress never did come to see if we wanted a table. We went to the bar they did say they would rush our order but at this point it was late. Our patience was thin and we were hungry. My husband and I have had a cottage at the lake for years. We just stopped at GOTL for a drink , we sat at the bar and took over 10 minutes to even be acknowledged another several minutes to actually get our beers. There were two bartenders and the bar wasn't crowded! we would have left but had to see just how long it was going to take. As we sat there we spoke to another customer trying to buy drinks for his table of four, both of us in disbelief of the blatant disregard of customers. We finished our drink and left as four more customers were being ignored that had sat at the bar. we had to give them at least a 1 star review but I can say they have a beautiful view of the lake and the beer was cold, mostly because it was frozen. read more

Came here while visiting Geneva on the Lake for our relaxing getaway from the Burgh. I have to admit, I didn't check out any yelp reviews before coming here and the name of the place drew me in; being the beer lover than I am, any place with the words "Brewing" included in the name will catch my attention. I came here for dinner and appetizers with my family and friends one night and came back for drinks later on in the week. Appetizers- We ordered the coconut shrimp, fried pickles and crab cakes. The coconut shrimp were really good, although I wasn't a fan of the sauce they chose to pair them with. It was way too spicy and took away from the sweet coconut on the shrimp. The fried pickles were basic, pretty greasy and really nothing memorable. The crab cakes were a bit fishy smelling, but not terrible. Dinner- My table ordered the hamburger, perch sandwich, ruben sandwich, salmon dinner and the boneless wings. I ordered the boneless wings with the pineapple sriracha sauce. They weren't crispy and were honestly kinda mushy. My boyfriend hated his ruben. It didn't have much flavor at all and he only ate half out of disappointment. My friends who ordered the hamburger and the perch sandwich weren't disappointed with their meals- although the hamburger came out as a cheeseburger the first time around (not ideal for someone who is allergic to dairy) and we were practically done eating by the time his burger came back. My friend who ordered the salmon dinner wasn't impressed at all. She said it was salty, lacked sauce and wasn't worth nearly $20 at all. Drinks- When I stopped for dinner, I ordered a cider beer to go with the meal. Something light and refreshing on a hot summer day. It came out with ice and a straw... REALLY weird, especially for a place that calls themselves a "brewing company". It's a beer. Not a soft drink. It should never be served with ice and a straw unless requested. When we stopped by later on in the week for drinks (in order to complete the bar crawl paper), I ordered a lager and sat at the bar with my friend. Right when I was about half way through my beer, a giant hybrid looking mosquito fell into my drink from the ceiling. Gross! The bartender was super friendly about it and gave me a new drink. Overall- the service was fine, but everything else was way less than average. The view on their patio is amazing, but really I would just stay away from this place. When the hostess finally showed up, she said, "What do you want?" I asked if they were open and she said that the kitchen was closed but we could go to the back bar. She pointed toward the back of the restaurant and we were expected to find our own way. Once at the back bar, we sat at the bar for 5 minutes and neither bartender acknowledged us. We go to GOTL every summer and our go-to spot every evening is Old Firehouse Winery. That is purely based on the sun set. Although my hubby is a wine maker he loves to explore brewerys. The brewery (as far as we are aware) was not there the last time we visited so we wanted to check it out. This place is very clean; we literally watched ALL the employees cleaning. The bar tender was very friendly and kind. Hubby was a little disapointed they didn't have a house made IPA. But they did have other guest IPA's available. We sat on the back deck; which they are expanding and have a great view. Pretty cool out door bar. read more

They have big (easy to operate) umbrellas if you don't want too much sun. Best of all, good live music and an attentive waitress. I tried the bars lager, pretty good. Studsband had something else on draft. They have a few handles but more of a bottle selection. I did a build your own with chicken breast. It came with cups which I usually don't care for BUT they were crunchy and you can pick a flavor topper - I almost ate them all! She really seemed confused to know what to do with the empty cans from previous patron. It was hilarious to see what her next move would be! I appreciate small businesses and this place should be an absolute gold mine! I have no idea who was managing the place but they should get a new career! It certainly couldn't be the owner or they would be bankrupt. We joked that they need bar rescue. I know it's hard to find good people but multiple people seemed completely baked. It was entertaining and I don't care because I don't own the place, lol. People at the bar suggested we go get dinner down the street, but it was getting late and we were getting hungry. All we got was a burger. Ordered it medium which I find safe because I can go rarer, and I can go medium well. But of course this came out well to over well.
