The guy who mows my lawn discovered a wasp nest in the ground in my back yard. That was on a Friday…read moreevening. Saturday I set out to find someone to come and handle it. Many of them were closed on weekends, and this happened to be Labor Day weekend so I'd have to live with that nest for 3 whole days. With a curious dog, that wasn't going to work. I gave these folks a call and Tim said he'd be here in an hour. I texted him the address and in 50 minutes he arrived. He suited up, treated the hive, and we stood at a distance watching those angry wasps coming and going as I paid him and we just chatted some, asking questions. Tim was knowledgable, extremely professional, and overall just a really good guy. He gave me some literature about a flat fee treatment they do in spring, and I will likely do that next year, as this is an annual thing for me. Most years I have 2 rounds of this, one hive in front and at least one more in the back. Last year I had 3 rounds of treatment as the wasps apparently liked it here so much that when they were evicted from the front yard they called some friends and they squatted in two places in my backyard.
