The last straw came down today when I went to pick my dogs up and she had both my 40-pound Australian Shepard and my 15-pound Shih Tzu crammed into one cage together so small that they were on top of each other and could not move. This is not the first time that my dogs have been mishandled at this shop. My Australian Shepard has been repeatedly burned with the razor on his underside. The last time it happened it became infected, and I had to take him to the vet for antibiotics. Adding to the frustration, the owner is the most unfriendly person I have met in a long time. I cannot recall a single instance where she even said hello or smiled. What is even more disheartening is that she never once said thank you. When you drop your dogs off the only thing she says to you is "Same as usual?" This phrase suggests that there is at least some consistency with her service - but that couldn't be further from the truth. I have lost count of the number of times that she completely shaved off my Shih Tzu's mustache, and when I bring it to her attention, she doesn't even bother to apologize. Reading through her other reviews on Google I suspect that most of the reviews for this shop are from friends. I noticed one was actually from her daughter, who also works there. I would be leery if you rely on reviews to try this one out. Having entrusted eight dogs to different groomers over the past 25 years, I strongly recommend exploring other options. Find one that you can communicate with and that doesn't get mad at you for telling them how you want your dog groomed.

They were very accommodating and let me come by immediately for a meet and greet. Paul and Katie were very friendly and reassuring. My dogs took to them and had a blast during the short encounter. So, I boarded my dogs with them for a night the next day. Some things I'd like to highlight is that they have a spacious fenced in yard and a doggie door so the dogs can come and go as they please. My little brats could learn how to be dogs in a pack. Food is included and provided. They provide high quality grain free food that my dogs love and they leave it out so the dogs can graze. This is good if your dog eats when it's hungry. However, my dogs, being puggles, ate non-stop and Paul and Katie had to put the food up. They just fed my dogs like pigeons throughout the day instead. This is something you might want to consider if your dog has special dietary needs and will eat everything in sight. But apart from one of my dogs overeating till his all you can eat buffet was thwarted, all is good. Oh Katie is a nurse and she's able to put eye drops or whatever your dog needs. My dogs are fine, but it's something you might want to consider when picking a boarding place for your dogs. Best part about Just Like Home is that the dogs can go on the furniture and sleep with humans. My dogs lay on Paul and Katie and watched tv and slept with Paul at night. (Sorry, Paul, I know my dogs are walking heat packs.) I'm relieved that my dogs can get the human contact and attention that they crave. I don't have to feel bad that they are crying in a suite at some other boarding place. When I went to pick the dogs up, one of them came up to greet me, then ran back off to play with his friends. He didn't want to leave. The other one is a total momma's boy, so he stayed by me while we tried let the first one know that it was time to go home. Also, the rates here are very reasonable. I'll definitely take my dogs there again if I need to board them while I'm in Jacksonville.

He was so thorough and he consulted with Cardiologist and internist for best plans rather than just his own knowledge. He is a very smart vet, but I love when a Dr will work with other specialist to verify right path of treatment. I feel with Dr. Bissell as my vet I will have many more years with my cat. I have 2 other animals as well that are healthy and will be bringing them here once they are in need of their physicals etc. So happy I found them.

This place came up as close to me and recommended with high ratings on Yelp and Google. It is tucked away in the shopping center, and parking was a little tough to find. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the owner. I told him I needed a nail trim for my dog, and he said they would be more than happy to do that, even though it would be a wait. They had four dogs being groomed and several more waiting to be groomed or already groomed. I had called ahead to confirm that I didn't need papers or vaccinations, and they said for nail trims you don't need any of that since they are walk ins. I waited about 10 minutes for the girl to be done grooming one dog before my dog was taken to the table for the nail trim. The owner made sure that I could see my dog and see that he was holding him while the girl trimmed the nails. It only took a few minutes, and the owner praised my dog and told him how good he did. It was $15 for the nail trim, and I added a tip for the service and time. I'm happy with the job they did and will take my dog back for his nail trims.

They said they thought I'd be in shortly and she'd only been crated a few minutes. Well then, call me and say she's ready?!? My dog looks cute, and especially her tail which is always ratty (she doesn't let me brush it...I wonder what their trick was!).
