The lady that I normally take my Cavapoo to for his nail trimmings is no longer in business, so I Googled other businesses in the area that could do a nail trim. This place came up as close to me and recommended with high ratings on Yelp and Google. It is tucked away in the shopping center, and parking was a little tough to find. When I walked in, I was immediately greeted by the owner. I told him I needed a nail trim for my dog, and he said they would be more than happy to do that, even though it would be a wait. They had four dogs being groomed and several more waiting to be groomed or already groomed. I had called ahead to confirm that I didn't need papers or vaccinations, and they said for nail trims you don't need any of that since they are walk ins. I waited about 10 minutes for the girl to be done grooming one dog before my dog was taken to the table for the nail trim. The owner made sure that I could see my dog and see that he was holding him while the girl trimmed the nails. It only took a few minutes, and the owner praised my dog and told him how good he did. It was $15 for the nail trim, and I added a tip for the service and time. I'm happy with the job they did and will take my dog back for his nail trims. read more

Overall, it was a good experience. I think the groomer did a great job on my dog. The staff seemed to know several dogs by name as they walked in, which was nice. I was surprised that they didn't ask for any proof of vaccination. They told me 2-3 hours, and since we live 30 min away, we killed some time and expected a call within that time frame. After over 3.5 hrs, I called them (a bit nervous by then, tbh). They said 15 more minutes. So we waited in the parking lot, and after 30 min, I went in. They said they thought I'd be in shortly and she'd only been crated a few minutes. Well then, call me and say she's ready?!? And a price estimate (not a range) before leaving her there would've been nice. My dog looks cute, and especially her tail which is always ratty (she doesn't let me brush it...I wonder what their trick was!). I would've given more stars for a little better attention given to the human side of things. I don't get my dog groomed often but I'll come back to Fresh Prints when I do. read more

These guys are so caring and sincere. My big 85 pound Rottweiler/Chow mix is a huge baby. He has such a thick coat we have to get him cut super short in the summer so it is quicker to dry because he likes to swim everyday. The groomers handle him gently and understand that he is a fragile puppy inside despite his huge size. We are grateful for the way they are gentle with our baby boy and he is much better off with his short trimmed fur. read more

I happened to find this place on a trip and it was a wonderful experience. The young lady Anna, I spoke with on the phone was very enthusiastic about our breed and made me feel very comfortable leaving my baby in a new place. They got my cocker Spaniel in the same day and did a wonderful job on her. They made a point to compliment her demeanor and her beauty. I'm so glad this pet spa opened in our neighborhood. It is a welcomed addition!! I took my 12 year old Weim here for the first time last weekend and was very impressed. I let them know ahead of time that he has a ruptured ACL and is anxious/has separation anxiety (which is normal for the breed). They welcomed him in got my information and politely asked me to go and come back for my dog's comfort. I didn't think about that ahead of time but it did help that he couldn't see me and I'm sure helped the owners get him bathed and groomed. Within 1/2 hour they called to let me know he was ready to go. He smells great, looks great and I loved the little bandanna they put on him. i purchased a couple of treats as well in the little shopping area they have at the front. Took my Chorkie to them yesterday. He's never been groomed so I was nervous. But he did great and they immediately loved on him and talked to him, helping him feel more comfortable. We will never take our dog here again! The groomer (Anna) cut a chunk out of my dog's paw and it was bleeding profusely. When I arrived, the first thing I noticed was that my dog was still on the grooming table which was weird since they called me 25 mins prior to tell me he was done and ready for pick up. The older gentleman working the counter consulted with the the groomer about the price and then started to ring me up. At this point the groomer mentioned that she had to shave my dog because he was matted (he wasn't) and that he bit her while she tried to get a mat out of his paw. I told her that I was shocked because I've always been told how well behaved he is when getting groomed. While paying for the visit, I was distracted because I could see Anna and another groomer (older woman, I believe her name is Pam) hovering over my dog with paper towels and doing something with his paw. They were talking quietly between the two of them but it was obvious something was wrong. This went on for 3-4 minutes. After paying, I asked them if there was something wrong with his paw. The older woman nonchalantly stated that Anna had nicked his paw and they were trying to stop the bleeding. There was no further explanation or apology. When they let him off the table, he came running for me and was visibly shaking. I noticed blood on the floor where he walked. I was alarmed and asked how bad it was and whether I should take him to the vet. The older lady quickly let me know that it wasn't bad and there was no reason to take him in because they wouldn't be able to do anything anyway. She sounded annoyed that I even asked. The other groomer, Anna, knelt down to show me his paw. It was yellow from where they tried to pack the wound with Quick Stop sand to get it to stop bleeding so I couldn't see the wound clearly. At this point, I was upset and just wanted to leave. On my way out, I heard one of them say they should just reverse my payment and not charge me for the visit....but still no apology or even acknowledgment that they messed up. Once I got my dog in the car, I noticed there was blood all over my seat. While trying to get him situated, Anna came out to tell me they reversed the charge and that she was embarrassed about what happened. I thanked her but told her I planned to have him seen right away. I drove straight to the vet where they confirmed there was a gash in his paw which would require glue and antibiotics to avoid an infection. $140 later, he's now at home, on antibiotics and pain meds, and wearing a cone. Although accidents happen, I'm very upset about the way this was handled. They were so unprofessional! Instead of being up front with me when I got there, they tried to cover it up so either I wouldn't notice or it wouldn't appear as bad as it was. Then, they down played it and even discouraged me from taking him to the vet. Had I listened to them, his paw would have likely become infected. At no point did anyone offer an apology or acknowledge wrong doing while I was in the store. This was the final straw and we won't be back. There were several other red flags I noticed during prior visits. After the first visit, when we'd pull up for an appointment, our dog would get anxious and would avoid going in. When we got him in, he's pull the leash towards the door in an attempt to leave. The often took 4 or more hours to complete a groom, and after one visit, I noticed a nick above his scrotum. Our dog is a mini golden doodle so he requires frequent grooming. He has gone to the groomers every six weeks since he was 16 weeks old. They all raved about him and said how sweet and easy to groom he is. In fact, after his first groom with Anna, she made the comment that she could tell he was used to being groomed because he was so well behaved on the table. Well, that clearly changed because of them! I think the other reviews on Yelp are right!! These groomers are probably rough and aggressive with their grooming technique. Based on my experience, I don't think they care about the well being of their clients. It's very possible that they've traumatized my dog and ruined the grooming experience for him. He will likely be anxious and skittish anytime I take him to get groomed. Don't make the same mistake. Look elsewhere! read more

I have never in my life been to such a horrible pet grooming business. I had an appt at 11 and arrived at 5 and they just started on my dog. I have a havanese so I just wanted a trim so he looks nice and neat, but when I realized them shaving my dog I was furious. The groomers names were PAM and ANNA. They claim that my dog was soo matted they had to shave him. Which they did not inform or ask my permission in the first place. They then say that my dog has fleas and charged me for flea meds that I did NOT request or approve of. When I told them to stop cutting his hair, they didn't. Instead the rude ass groomer PAM yelled at me to get out in demanding tone to go outside and wait or she'd call the cops on me. Which she later denied. I was honestly afraid to go back in. My daughter then called their business to give me my dog back so I can pay and leave she spoke to Anna who was very patronizing while Pam was yelling and cursing in the background. They were being very rough with my dog who is very skiddish and scared of everything, but is very friendly. I was charged $70 for my tiny havanese who was shaved, medicated with flea meds I did not agree to, and mistreated. My first and last time. Beware of this business. read more

I'll start off by saying they did a wonderful job on my dog but when I picked him up I noticed him acting weird and crouched down to the floor scared to walk past the groomers and get to me as quickly as possible I've never seen my dog act this way so I just got him out of there as quickly as I could although they did a good job i will not be going back I have an English bulldog he's super chill well behaved and friendly to everyone so I couldn't imagine him giving them a hard time he enjoys massages and bath time but I'm afraid that maybe they were too aggressive or mean to him it's upsetting to not know what happened and why he was so afraid of them read more

Kind people. They were very welcoming and informative. I felt comfortable leaving my dogs under their care. I got really good vibes from this place. Not only were the people awesome, They listened to me and did exactly what I requested on my shih tzu (super clean around the eyes/stop). They also were able to get the nails really short on my elderly Aussie/lab mix (no groomer before has ever been able to). These groomers pay attention to detail and it really made a difference, not only to the appearance of our pets but to their lifestyle. A good dog-groomer is hard to find. My experience and expectations were not positive. I have a Poodle that's groomed every-four to five weeks. My regular groomer (is awesome), she's on maternity leave. Last year in Dec 2018, I went to Fresh Prints Pet Spa on Race Trace Rd and that groomer was amazing. Recently, I had to visit Fresh Prints Pet Spa on Race Trace Road and the experience was not good. This time, an older female groomer has the responsibility of grooming Bambam. Apparently, she contacted my husband and said, "the dog ears are matted and they need to be shaved (that's a truckload of crapola) but, my loving hubby, said ok". I believe that she screwed up Bambam's fur and used his ears as an excuse to shave him to cover her inexperience of grooming a poodle. I have a doubled sided rake/comb for combing out his curls, that I use every other day on Bambam. His ears may have had a spot or two but nothing to have justified her actions (a shaved poodle). A picture is worth a thousand words. I will never visit Fresh Prints Pet Spa. When I walked in to schedule Bambam's appointment, I observed the following, the same groomer grooming a beauty Sheep or Sheepadoodle, and I witnessed her hitting the dog in the top of his head (that should have been an alarm for me). If I see the owner of that dog, I will share this info. My husband sometimes will tip folks that are undeserving to ensure he's not confrontational (crazy, I know) this famous groomer received a tip. Here's my tip...you have no business BEING A DOG GROOMER. I will follow up with the DBPR to ensure that you have FL License that allows you to work with dogs. A good dog-groomer is hard to find.
