Got Appraisals have now closed their doors, leaving our company and many other companies and appraisers out of luck. As the State of California is one of the states which does not require AMC's to post bonds before being licensed, no one will receive their payments. Advice to all appraisers: legally, the bank is the client and they are responsible. From here on out, we will be contacting the lenders directly if the payment is so much as one day late. I have performed five appraisals for them and have not been paid for one. The appraisals date back to 10/2018. Per their contract they are to pay in 60 days. They have broken their contract. Called AP and they promise to pay or call bank. They do neither. Proceeding to bill the lenders direct as they are the client. Am filing a complaint with BREP and will fille a small claims action against their surety bond with the state. DO NOT USE AND DECLINE ALL ASSIGNMENTS. read more

I am a real estate appraiser and this company owes me $6,000 since the beginning of the year. The business manager Nicole Stefani is in charge of the payments, i have emailed, mailed and left multiple voice messages and she will not return any of my voice, email or mail. This company is a flat out ripoff and I recommend to any appraisal company never to work with the company. My lender used this company to order appraisal and the guy was not able to pick up that the property which was falsely advertised by seller as Duplex was in county records single family residence. Very poor service can not trust any appraisal done by them. read more

Dont like this appraisal company -- they didnt add a latest sold property to comp properly... The house pics of nearby sold homes are available on trulia/zillow and we had a 100K upgrade...Yet, they only chose to give a 10K additional valuation for that... They said that sqft of house didnt matter in valuation at all and hence compared different sq ft houses with no additional valuation... Overall, i didnt find the report convincing or suggestive enough... working with another appraisal company might be better if possible as per me... read more

It is unacceptable to delay appraisal fees. My understanding is the appraisal management companies (AMC) receive payments for appraisals up front for appraisal orders, yet some AMC's they take 30+ days to pay appraisers. The completion date for one of the properties I appraised was 11/29/16 and the second order was 12/23/16, after a ten email thread spanning several months, I finally received the check for payment in May 2017. Yes, it took over five months to get paid. Not good, not good at all. If you work for this company make sure you get paid before completing the appraisal report, or you may have to take a lot of time out of your day attempting to track down a check. read more

Active appraiser with over thirty years experience. I must admit I have had slow paying customer in the past, eventually always getting paid. Got Appraisals / AHR Appraisal or what ever other name they are going by this week has proven to be the most disrespectful company I have ever worked with. Currently trying to get paid on seven months old invoices. I dont believe they have ever paid a invoice without me calling, emailing, refusing additional work. If by chance you are lucky enough to actually get a response the excuses they offer are limitless, unique, and completely disrespectful in a professional environment. I have always provide quality appraisals in a timely manner, at a fair fee. All, I expect is to be paid in a timely manner. Appraisers are aware they collect the fees from the homeowner before we receive the appraisal assignment to begin with. What are they doing with our hard earned money for months ? Im an Appraisal from South Florida, and I got the same issues as other appraisals I had done 2 appraisal for then which are over 90 and 65 days and payment still pending. Every time I call they say the payment is processing and that they mail the check, however is been like that for over a month. Those people are playing ball with the appraiser and I will report then to my state which is Florida. Do not work with this company they ignoring your call and lie to you. I m a realtor. This company was used by a lender and they wrote a faulty report. There was report done by an independent appraiser who was FHA licensed. Did a solid rebuttal and they ignored. Got a copy of the appraisal done by these people through the lender and it was badly written and full of errors. The sellers appraiser took it apart in minutes. If you are buying a house and this company is being sent to your home CANCEL. You will not get an accurate appraisal. These people are BAD news. Zero stars. read more

They collect for the appraisal from the client when the order is placed. They state they pay the appraiser 60 days from submission. They do not! They do not answer the phone, they do not reply to voice or email messages. Appraisers beware... I am filing a complaint against this AMC today. read more

I contacted my mortgage broker Edge Financial and contracted to refinance 3 properties through them. They use "Got Appraisals" for their property valuations. The 1st one went alright and cost me $600. The 2nd one came in 10% low according to my Realtor and cost me $600 for nothing. The 3rd time I didn't get any written appraisal and they still bumped my credit card for $150. I will go out of my way in the future to avoid this company and recommend the same for you. read more

They owe my husband and I money for appraisals we did for them in July 2017, it is now January 2018. APPRAISERS BEWARE THEY DON'T PAY THEIR BILLS. We are reporting them to the BBB and OREA, hopefully we can get their AMC license revoked. One of the appraisals was an FHA appraisal so we're hoping to contact someone in FHA regarding them and their fraud, yes, fraud. They do not pay appraisers. We are owed close to $2,000 for appraisals that were performed well over six months ago, the loans have funded and closed and yet we have not yet been paid. They state they pay appraisers in 60 days, they do not. We have left over 2 dozen messages with no response. The one time we were able to speak to Nicole, who appears to be the accounting person, we were promised payment within the week. It's 3 months later and still no payment. An online research of their company indicates that this is standard practice for GOT Appraisals. I have hired Got Appraisals several times. I don't always get the value results I am hoping for, but that has nothing to do with them. Keep in mind that the appraisers who work for Got Appraisals also work for just about every other appraisal management company out there. The appraisers carry their own licenses and are independent contractors. As far as price, service and value I do not think you can find a better outfit than these guys. HORRIBLE appraisal company!! Stay away!!! We ordered an appraisal 3 weeks ago and still do NOT have it! Instead of sending us the appraisal, we are being hounded for more and more "missing" paperwork that isn't missing and that was given to this appraisal company at the time of the order - 3 weeks ago. I am an appraiser and received a request for an appraisal. (out of the blue). They agreed to pay me within 30 days. It's been 45 days and I am still waiting..they can't be trusted. I have since been informed of others in my state and even an appraiser in another state with the same stories. When an AMC doesn't/can't pay on time, it usually means they are failing. They also violate WA State Law that requires AMC's pay within 45 days. I have turned them into our dept of licensing. read more

While going through yet another refinance (3.5% :)), my lender used this appraiser for my property. The appraisal contained errors and was heavily negatively skewed. It was an appraisal to please the banks. The appraiser devalued my home by $300K when comparing properties that were no more than 600 sq ft larger than my own of comparable quality and amenities. I own a pristine $1M+ home that is 11 years old. The appraiser cited that my custom built home needed to be updated. It was the most ridulous appraisal I've ever had, and I've refinance 5 times over the last 10 years. If you're looking for a fair appraisal of your property, keep looking and don't stop here. Only concerned about the fees! This AMC is the worse one I have dealt with in 21 years of banking. They do not hold the appraisers to any timelines, always want to gain another fee for re-inspection, and the customer service is desired to say the least. The supervisor ( Kaycie) who is supposed to be the liaison to assist pretty much put the nail in the coffin that our company will never use them or any lender tied to them again. I've never written a review before. My experience with GOT was not very good. I completed an appraisal and then a 1004D. The appraisal was completed at the end of January and the 1004D was completed approximately 2/3/20. I was paid for both appraisal assignments on 04/23/20. So... I won't be taking any orders from GOT Appraisals in the future. My personal experience and review for this company, is that they are very slow in paying, and it is very frustrating trying to collect from them. I did agree to their 60 day repayment guideline, however, 60 days came and went without being paid. Therefore, I can't recommend GOT to anyone wishing to make a living doing appraisals. Maybe, someone else has had a better experience than me, but I've twice accepted an assignment from them and each time I waited too long to be paid. My personal opinion, I would prefer to turn down an assignment from GOT. It is not worth the frustration. read more
