There's not a lot in Goshen. Trees, sure, bears, a fairgrounds empty most of the year, and two restaurants (one which is only open for brunch). Then came Goshen Pizza. They're central, they have a good menu, and they deliver. It's like having a piece of the real world. The fact the food is very good certainly doesn't hurt either, and helps them stand apart. I have yet to have something I didn't enjoy - although I am partial to the bacon, ranch, and chicken pizza. The serving sizes are generous, and the prices are fair. They're my #1 recommendation to anyone who comes to Goshen to eat.

Stopped in after a day skiing on Mohawk and this really hit the spot! Great appetizers and a fantastic couple of pizzas - we got the meat lovers and a double pepperoni. Perfectly prepared and delicious. We'll be back!

Large Pizza: eggplant, artichoke, and garlic

Just opened in the same plaza as the Goshenette. Pizza is pretty neutral in flavor. Cheese pulls nicely as opposed to the really horrible processed kind. The eggplant is lightly breaded and cut longitudinal. It's not greasy and has a thin crust as we like. I think having it cooked a little longer or at a hotter temp would give a nice crunch to the bottom and a little more charred blisters on the top. That's obviously our preference as comparing it to New Haven pizza. Wings were "meh". Standard pre-made sauce that's all sugar and not much flavor. Held up pretty well as take out, so I'm sure dine-in would yield crispier wings. They should definitely "vent" the wing container though to cut down on the condensation. Grinder looked hearty. They didn't skimp on anything here. It's a typical crispy chicken grinder which I was looking for to bring to work tomorrow (haven't eaten it so no comment on the flavor).I know it will taste delicious tomorrow and hit the spot. Overall, the pizza is not bad. We are pretty critical about food so please take this review as our personal opinion and you should try it for yourself. They have just opened so I'm sure they are working out some kinks and perhaps my review may change. I have my favorite Pizza place in this area and this place is definitely #2 in my books. BTW, we are local people who live in this community and have lived here for over 20 years, if you know what I'm getting at...

Cute little spot in the heart of Goshen, just past the rotary. Would be a great place to grab a quick bite when visiting the local animal attractions in the warmer months. The garlic knots were fresh and flavorful. Our cheese pizza was thin and yummy. Not the biggest fan of this type of sausage but otherwise it hit the spot and kept everyone happy.

    Hero on a diet.

Salad and entrée were tasty. There was service. The café decor was: we have bigger fish to fry than aesthetics.

Our experiences this year have been pretty good, but not quite as good as we hoped. Their logistical arrangement over the summer has been different from the past. When you arrive now you order at a new covered bar (wine, beer, cocktails to a limited extent) area. You pay there, are given a number and find a seat where you will be served. Their dining tent is larger and better protected from the elements, and of course outside seating at tables is still available weather permitting. It's a great place for families where the kids can freely run around. But it's really all about the food, isn't it? And we've had some good and not-so good dishes at our visits this year. Their fish and chips remains a delicious treat: the fish crispy, the fries crunchy, we way we prefer. The tuna steaks, however, have been once overcooked and other times way undercooked and chewy. Our neighbors tell us their fried menu items are consistently better prepared. Guess we need to learn. Their menu offers lots of choices; we've enjoyed the fried shrimp previously but didn't try it lately. The lobster butter cheddar biscuits are very tasty. -- good crunch -- and we have always found their clam chowder to be thick, creamy and filled with clam pieces. A welcome treat! We are eager to dine inside shortly, and we'll update our report then. In the meantime, we still enjoy our visits here; e'd just prefer to have a little more consistency.

You have an open air tent seating option along with a field seating option that is family and dog friendly. Expect a longer wait time for food. Truly, their fried options are the best options on the menu and that shouldn't be the case. Their cocktails are not consistent, but when they're made well, they are great. The food is expensive for what you get, for instance, 1 small cod fillet for fish and chips. As I write, the more I realize perhaps it's a solid 3.5 stars. For an outdoor dining establishment in the summer, it hits the spot.

I went on a Saturday around 4:00 and the front part of the restaurant was pretty busy, so I sat in the back where there wasn't as many people. There's a fireplace that is so cozy. I love all the wood too. It did take some time to get waters and menus, but the staff was very nice about the wait. I got a cheese pizza and it was so good! I love a good bubble and there were a few on the crust of the pizza. So good! One of the coolest things was the to go pizza box comes inside out. I had never seen that before, so I asked the waitress if they put the box together wrong and she told me it was one of their signatures!! I love it. I also got a salted caramel espresso martini, which was good. I did enjoy the regular one more though. I always look forward to coming back!

First visit to the O Joe's North location - understanding I/we love the original. It exceeded every possible expectation. Food is terrific - has the same standard as Watertown, but our wings were cooked even better. Fresh, hot, crispy, juicy. Definitely the best Ordinary Joe's wings we've had (and we have a lot of them, often). The food options are clearly rooted in the original concept. However, there are some more/different options here. Everything looked and smelled fantastic. I look forward to investigating further. Our server, Vanessa, earned 25 stars on her own. She was attentive, personable, yet worked quickly and accurately - manning a full bar and dining room simultaneously - while making us feel like we were the only ones in the joint. Manager/(Owner?) Paul was terrific as well. Stepped in to ensure all tables had what they needed, were clean, and everyone happy. It was truly noticeable that customer service is a priority for the team. Building is new/redone/beautiful. Similar, iconic O Joe's feel and decorating - yes, the gridiron is painted on the ceiling. Just a great space. Great vibe. Eat-off-the-floor clean. Simply can't wait to go back. And, again, I am so lucky to have proximity to both locations. **Just one note for families who may go with children or teenage boys (like me)... The service is so great, no one at the table will have an empty glass for long... that's a really positive thing. But, fair warning, soft drink refills are NOT free (nor should they be, frankly). However, with an 18 and 16 yr old in my party...those Cokes accumulate quickly.

The dinner menu was atypical, featuring an eclectic fusion of dishes executed with lots of creative flair. Flavor, quality and freshness of ingredients were top notch. Our starter, Garlic Maple Whiskey Chicken Bites, came accompanied with grilled shishito peppers. Perfect for sharing and so lovely paired with a glass of prosecco. Next, we sampled Bouillabaisse and Miso Roasted Black Cod in dashi broth. Seafood for both mains were super fresh. The Bouillabaisse broth was remarkably flavorful, the hint of saffron ever present but not overwhelming. How nice to have the red pepper rouille and slices of bread (customary in France) served alongside for the authentic experience. Miso Roasted Black Cod was tasty, succulent and fork tender. Beautifully arranged with mushrooms and Brussels sprouts surrounding the fish, plus a delectable piece of polenta cake tucked underneath. Dashi broth was poured onto dish tableside, creating a warm umami rich dish that was not only delicious but also extremely satisfying. On to desserts....The Chocolate Tarte with sea salt, nuts and berry coulis, a picture of understated elegance, was incredibly sublime. The Warm Apple Tartlet à la Mode with vanilla ice cream was good too. Would have preferred a tad less cinnamon though. All things considered, this was an exemplary meal.
