This cafe is smack dab in the middle of a high end retail store. Pretty unique trend in starting to see across different industries. Shaved Prime rib panini Prime rib, horseradish havarto cheese, roasted tomato aioli, tart and needs more protein. A little sloppy to eat, but lots of flavors going on here. Bavarian Pretzel An amazing get - comes out super fresh and warm and soft in the middle. They give you sweet and spicy mustard on the side. Avocado Toast Basic with only avocado and tomato slices... relatively plain as this dish could use more creativity. Impressively done new concept cafe combined with retail. That's all

Not to be confused with the Gorsuch only store down the road. We wandered around that whole store because that's the address we had received. We were initially going to go to the famous hot coco place but not only did they raise their prices, they had over an hour wait. This cafe is genius marketing and in a very convenient location. Especially for the price I was very satisfied with my Mexican hot coco! They also have a whole cocktail menu with great prices, so I recommend checking that out as well. There is limited seating but it's a decent place to sit & chat for a moment if you can grab a seat.

First and foremost, staff and service is mostly awful. There are a few friendly folks working there but most of them seem abrupt, arrogant and carry the demeanor of people doing a job that they hate and treat their customers in a similar manner. This is consistent with another review from a year ago and I 100% agree with her experience. I'll start with the strength. The strudel is tasty and I'd recommend grabbing it for a snack if you are standing there waiting on family or friends. And now for the rest of the "story." The "beef chili" is mostly beans. They should state that its BEANS and beef chili, not beef chili. It should also be clear that the beef is a minor, not predominant ingredient. None the less, it was enjoyable, albeit a bit salty. The customer service problem is that its supposed to come with two cheddar biscuits. The first time I ordered it, they just left them out of the bag. Simple oversight or so I thought. The second time I ordered it, the middle aged women tending the register said they didn't have any biscuits and they were making more. I asked how long and she said about 10 minutes. I responded, "About or exactly?" "Is it possible to get a specific time?" She replied, "I don't know." She then volunteered they have no substitutions and I could take it or leave it. At that point, I concluded they just don't have biscuits generally available and they should price accordingly or offer an alternative. Simply bad service and poor management. The photos on this review are of the "warm ham, cheese, and egg" croissant. This was sadly abysmal. One thinks of a croissant sandwich when marketed this way, not a small piece of egg, cheese and ham tucked under a flap and left in a warming drawyer. This should be made clear. Further compounding the FAIL of this item is the dough wasn't fully cooked and it was chewy and doughy. I cannot discourage you more from spending your $$ at the cafe. There are plenty of perfectly good venues for snacks, coffee and lunch within steps of this place where the staff is friendly and helpful. Maybe they think they can get away with this because they slapped Gorsuch on the cafe name; but if overpriced and lackluster food compounded with poor service is what they were seeking a reputation for then they've achieved their goal.

I loved this spot! Right in Vail Village. Not a whole lot of seating inside but we were lucky and able to sit in the benches and enjoy the scenery right outside. Spent over an hour here and it was great.

The hot chocolate was nice in the cold weather. It was hard to find this place based on the location given on Yelp. Couldn't afford any of the clothing though, lol.

My favorite coffee shop in Vail. It is right by the ski lift so it's super continent. Their staff is always very friendly and willing to accommodate special requests. Coffee is delicious. It is also a cute store selling ski items as well as some home decor (actually, it's more of a museum, unless you have $$$$$ to spend on random things). Plenty of room to relax and enjoy your coffee inside and outside! Pastries never looked good to me but maybe I will try something next time!

We wanted to check out a new coffee spot in Vail since we have been frequenting Big Bear every morning and this place was pretty disappointing in comparison. Like others have mentioned, the staff aren't too kind and don't make you feel invited. The pastry case isn't labeled, so you'll have to ask them. Cafe Mocha was ok. Latte with Lavender was not well blended at all. Cranberry Apricot scone was dry. Nothing was worth the insane prices. Overall, I would recommend the walk to Two Arrows or Big Bear Bistro.

Great coffee, with a bit of shopping. "Stammtisch" community tables encourage getting to know your neighbors.

Half eaten tomato, cheese, egg sandwich. It was really good!

This is such a cute little spot right next to Gondola 1. I like their coffees and pastries, but most of all I like the egg, cheese, and tomato morning sandwich. Surprisingly it tasted good. Their service is friendly and the locker room staff is super nice. Such a convenient location.

Overall - No, just, no.The interior of this place is warm, inviting and makes you want to take alll the photos for Instagram. I cannot say the same for the staff. Almost every worker is the epitome of pretentious. I overheard the staff making fun of a few customers who walked out and declaring that they purposefully overcharge people they don't like. Darling, sweetheart, you're a barista. Get over yourself. If you're looking to experience some of the snobbiest minimum wage workers in the world, this is your place. Coffee was over priced and sub-pare (I got an oat milk Lavender Cap) however I will admit the hazelnut croissant was delicious. If you must go, run in, grab a pastry and run out.

Extremely rude staff, product is cute but overpriced. When you walk in you feel like your don't them a favor shopping in their store

Great little spot to snag a good tea/coffee. They also have some nice seating if you're looking to settle in for a bit and warm up.

The food is abundant, honest, and deeply satisfying; the kind that reminds you why simple things, done well, matter. The service carries that same spiritprofessional, warm, and genuinely kind. It's food for the people by the people not glitzy rubbish that makes you wonder have I eaten yet!!!! You do need a bit of patience. Nothing here is rushed, and that's precisely the point. Every plate is cooked to order, every detail given its due. Good things take time, and here, time is part of the recipe. Little Diner is just that diner heaven. Food that sticks to your bones, comforts your soul, and leaves you leaning back in your chair saying, "God, that was great." Vail itself is a different kind of spectacle stunning, no doubt, with its postcard beauty, polished storefronts, and a steady parade of designer threads and glittering displays. Prices feel executive, and there's a certain showiness in the air, a place where being seen can matter as much as seeing. And yet, tucked within it all, Little Diner stands apart. It caters to simple, kind, genuine people those who don't need labels or luxury to feel fulfilled. Here, it's not about gold foil or truffles or culinary theatrics. It's food for the stomach and the soul. Real food. No pretense, no nonsense just somethinghonest on a plate and a place that feelshuman. The coffee arrives strong and unapologetic, just as it should in a mountain town. And my dirty burger? Simply splendid messy, indulgent, unforgettable. Which is why the news stings. Rumors of rising rents and a looming development threaten to push this family-owned gem out, making way, no doubt, for something shinier, pricier, and far less soulful. One can already imagine the replacement: a polished, over-designed "concept," where the plates are smaller, the prices larger, and the experience carefully curated yet strangely hollow. It would be a loss not just for Vail, but for anyone who values authenticity over affectation. Places like Little Diner don't just feed you they ground you. And once they're gone, no amount of gastronomic flair or fashionable pretense can quite fill the space they leave behind. Jose Pienknagura JosePienknagura@gmail.com

Not Good...this is a 1st for me....and it makes me sad to say it. HEAD's UP.... if your are popping…read moreoff of the to enjoy a good meal, know that the parking is not convenient. You need to find the Lionhead Village parking garage & walk through the shops to get to the building. The signage does not make it easy to find on the upper level. But, we had read that it was a "great breakfast spot" so we took the time to find the pkg garage & walk to the Diner. Having bartended in a previous life, we both feel most comfortable dining at a bar... so we settled in at the bar and patiently waited to be greeted. The server was very involved with another customer, showing them photos (on her phone) and then, while they continued conversing, she brought us waters. While dropping the waters, she asked us "what can I get you to drink?" and without our ready answer, abruptly turned back to the other couple and continued their visit... completely forgetting, I am guessing, that she had even asked us a question. After another 3 minutes of wrapping up their visit, she finally returned, as if she had not left us hanging....and hungry. No "I'm sorry" or "my apologies for the delay", just a question of "what was it you wanted?" Hubby replied that we would like the "fresh squeezed orange juice" and asked if it was squeezed in house. "No, I just work here, I don't squeeze it" and that was how our morning dining experience nearly ended. The VERY FIRST ITEM on your menu touts "fresh squeezed" and it is not the truth???? What else isnt' the truth? Are those "made from scratch" biscuits made in someone else's factory? Anything else need a disclaimer? Having been on the road a bit & being very hungry, and also having decided that this was a diner that we wanted to experience (after a lot of research the night before), we did order. Hubby's breakfast sandwich scored a 7 out of 10 for him, my over medium egg and bacon would have been a delicious 10 had they been a little more up to temp than "barely warm" (they sat under the warming light for over 5 minutes). We were sitting right where we saw our food prepared, in the lovely open kitchen, so we made note of the time lapsed between my plate going to the expo station & his breakfast sandwich being plated. So, food wise...we give this diner a 7. Service wise.... a 1. She never looked our way again after taking our order. I had to literally call out "excuse me, ma'am...could I please get a refill on my coffee?" Our waters were never refilled. She spent her time "working her regulars" and missed out on a potential regular (as we pass by Vail a LOT) and also missed out on 2 very generous tippers. (Having both been in the service industry, we start out at 20% when we sit down and it typically goes up from there. Last night's server was wonderful and he was rewarded for the outstanding service.) This morning's service was abominable and her tip was definitely not 20%. I must say that the cooks' areas were very tidy and clean. I was highly impressed with their stations and give them kudos for that and the perfect preparation of my egg. The diner is so cute, I really wanted to love it. I left very sad that our experience was not a positive one. Last thing...there are placards that ask that patrons help them survive by giving to their Go Fund Me or Venmo account. um......
