If you're a runner or just a casual walker, there are many paved pathways or you can opt for the gravel, dirt or wood chip paths through the meadows and forests. The public restrooms near the colorful tiled awning are open year-round while the park is. Whether you find a spot here for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you won't be disappointed. Additionally, most of the park's trails are within its DORA area, so grab a drink too and get out and play!

The pretty Todd Pond offers a nice place to sit and relax and also allows fishing. A couple of shelter houses and a gazebo, with picnic tables, are available. The playground area is great - swings, slides, climbing structures, seesaw, and more. A paved walking trail winds through the park. A clean restroom is available, and there are two paved parking lots available on either side.

Small yet mighty. Pioneer Park offers a lot for a community park. There is a covered picnic area…read morenear the front of the park. There are several picnic tables under there. All are well spaced out. A baseball diamond and soccer field make up the bulk of the green space. Several spots to stop and enjoy the lake. The trail is paved, even into the trees. Walking through the trees gives one that getting out in nature feel. It is a small area. Not getting lost in nature, but out in it. The stream was low during our visit. If that is it's usually depth, it would be an ideal spot to go creaking with younger children. The flow was not overly fast either. Not sure how heavy rains affect this. Bench swings near the lake make for a nice stop to relax. Lake and stream are not connected. It should be noted that this may be the cleanest park in the Cincinnati area. We came here with the intention of completing at park clean up. After 1hr our efforts produced less than one grocery bag of trash. Most of the trash came from the parking lot. Kudos to the city for keeping the park so clean.

Blue Ash Nature Park is a nice little getaway in suburban Cincinnati. It's very easy to miss. The…read morepark isn't large, but there's several miles of trails. It also has an amphitheater. This is a good gathering spot. Although it's in a suburb, it doesn't feel like it. It has several miles of trails that are mostly quiet. The only exception is when there's a concert at the amphitheater, but it's usually something like jazz and not ear shattering. Chances are you will have the trails mostly to yourself if there isn't a concert. The trails are covered in gravel, which helps keep your shoes from getting muddy. It has a few public bathrooms. These aren't the cleanest but they are kept up. If you don't know where it is, you may pass it a few times before noticing it. It's located along Cooper Road. The entrance is next to the police station.

There is nice shade throughout the park, which makes it a great choice even during hot, sunny days. The playgrounds have a variety of equipment, so it's worth exploring each of them if you can encourage your little ones to resist the urge to stay only on the first one on the path. One has a sandbox, another has a neat seesaw that little ones can stand on and bounce back and forth with a friend. Well worth a visit!

Be sure to check out the…read morecentrally-located Visitor's Center to get lots of handy info, trail maps, a visit to the gift shop, and even pet a friendly snake!! I decided to hike the Gorge Trail, which was very do-able, and ambitiously hoped to even follow the trail around the lake. Oooooops... There is NO LAKE, for the moment, anyway, as they've emptied it for maintenance (!!) Wasn't able to hike around the (dry) lake, as I think that trail was closed, but no worries, I headed back on the Gorge Trail (took a zillion pictures along the way, it's GORGEous!!) and made it back just in time to attend the Hispanic Festival taking place right outside the visitor's center. Looks like there's LOTS of community activities offered here, and it's a GREAT area resource!! Beautiful scenery, some waterfalls apparently, once the rain returns, picnic areas and multiple fun playgrounds for the kiddies, nicely marked trails, TONS of community events, and so much more!! Don't miss it if you're in the area!!

There are a lot of seating options and a nice big shelter with bathrooms. I didn't explore much more then those areas. We will definitely make a visit here again.

While the entire Cincinnati riverfront is gorgeous, we couldn't find a place that was covered where we could eat. As we were driving by we saw this park! Parking was $5 and the park was empty except for our party. The bridge provided covering from the rain and there were many picnic tables surrounding the park. The play structure is made out of trex building material and included LOTS of elements for our kids to play. Swing set, monkey bars, climbing rope, etc. the ground is squishy. There is a good amount of noise from the cars driving over the bridge overhead, but it was a sweet spot to eat lunch and let the kids work off some steam.
