Royal Home Flooring - Damages done

He communicated through text and phone with us, answering all our questions and helped us through the process when we wanted to change the vinyl type before starting the work. I found the complete service at a competitive price ($5-7k) and the installers respectful and efficient! I would recommend this business highly.

After numerous attempts to fix the gaps I was lied to that it was water damage but the guy who came spoke zero English (this matters later) and didn't even touch the floors. My stairs were over hung by 2 inches with no support and they cracked. Arthur committed to replacing the bottom floor but played number games with the upstairs. Something felt really off so I did some research through connections I have and found there to be 25 complaints of gapping and bubbling with the company. When challenged I was told by Arthur his lawyer was being added to the email but there is one problem that email doesn't belong to any attorney at all for that matter. As much as I didn't want to take this route, there is clear illegal deception with the business, and they refused to make it right and provide what I paid for so I feel I now must be the person who unravels everything from the people who working there and their training, contract issues, and so much more. I warn you to do your research and I will let the rest unfold publicly and keep everyone updated

Ciprian Hardwood Flooring - New wood floor

Ciprian Hardwood Flooring

You're reading yelp reviews to find out if Ciprian is legit…read more He is. I bless you with the ability to now end your indecisive search for a hardwood installer - email / call him and return to your life free of worry for you are in safe hands my child. Extended Review: I was you - I didn't have anyone who knew a floor installer for hardwood, and I was trying to google-fu my way into finding one. I stumble across Ciprian, see the 5.0 google rating at 360+ reviews, and think either "this guy must be amazing" or "he's got a great review bot setup." Turns out he's just that good. I sent him an email about wanting to add hardwood flooring to two bedrooms in my Chicago condo, ideally matching the existing hardwood flooring throughout other areas of the home. He responded within the day with a rough estimate, and within 3 days made a visit to take measurements and produced a precise estimate that night, along with a diagram of what wood species my floor was and what he recommended. The next day, we had the install scheduled for 3 weeks later. He set expectations upfront that the color wouldn't be a perfect match since it wouldn't be the exact same wood, exact same stain, and all the flooring wouldn't be installed at the exact same time. Ciprian delivered the flooring a couple days after that. I didn't know this, but apparently it's best to have the wood acclimate to where it gets installed prior to being installed (for expansion / contracting based on temp / moisture). Ciprian knows this, because Ciprian knows wood. On the first day of the install, him and his partner had the carpet removed hardwood slinging immediately while also replacing some old base plywood boards free of charge; they finished installing the boards in both rooms that first day. oved When it was time to stain, he wanted me there to approve it - he mixed 5 different stains and placed them throughout the rooms to compare lighting with the existing boards. He then went back and forth tweaking the best stain making it darker/lighter until he got the perfect match - it was a point of personal pride to try and match it as close as possible. Ciprian is professional, punctual, responsive, diligent, efficient, and passionate about his wood species (which is a massive green flag for the guy installing your hardwood) and most importantly about the quality of work he provides. He and his team finished a day early, matched the new floor's stain against the current floors perfectly, and left me with a new standard for contractors that's going to be really hard to measure up against. If you made it this far, you can take the final step and shoot an email to Ciprian for whatever project you have because you've found your guy - he is him.

We used Arlington Hardwood to refinish the original 70's red oak floors of the home we recently…read morebought. The floors were in rough shape, previously covered with carpet, nailheads sticking up everywhere, and the color was a shiny golden color from being aged. We had only a one week window from closing on the house to moving in and we needed 6 rooms, plus hallways, closets, and stairs refinished. The hardwood company we originally contacted was booked solid and they referred us to Sam at Arlington Hardwood. I figured a recommendation from another flooring company was a good place to start! I was very pleased with the whole process, from the initial contact, to the in-home estimate, to his team working on the floors. I believe their work was very high quality! The floors turned out beautifully. We chose a chestnut stain, which really brought out the grain. And even their finish was a perfect sealant, not too shiny! Beautiful floors. It really made an aesthetic difference upon moving in.

Long story short, we get a call that he can't finish the job because of a death and funeral he needed to attend. All that got done was a sanding job but no finish. During the conversation he began to threaten us when we told him to just walk away and we would not be paying the balance. We could not afford another 1 or 2 nights in a hotel )vapors) and giving the threats he first made to my son and then to me I wanted nothing more to do we this company. He thretend a contractors lien if we didn't pay him for "not" finishing the job. This guy was scum. Period. If this is a new owner then fine, but if its the same owner stay away. Anyone who threatens to sue you when they were at fault and refuses to compromise with you is not someone you should do business with.
