We received a few quotes from local tree companies and this was by far the most thorough, fair and complete quote we received. The owner actually came and showed us his insurance and left us with a copy. He also provided additional information that would help us make a sound decision. He provided the best quote and with no pressure (he knows these trees have to come down at some point!). We haven't utilized the services yet as there are a few projects ahead of this one. Today was our day! We have been going back and forth about having a large messy tree in our front yard taken down. Several of our neighbors have used Gordon Pro Tree Service and have been very pleased, so we gave them a call for an estimate. Scottie came out within a couple of hours, provided the estimate, and said they could get it done today. And they did! Within half an hour the crew showed up and got to work. Gordon Pro Tree Service gets my absolute highest recommendation. Not only was their quote significantly less than the firm I had used previously, but the service was fabulous for three different jobs they did for me recently. I work, but they made the quote and work easy for me - taking up far less of my time than is normal when dealing with contractors. They did what they said they were going to do, when they said they'd do it. They cleaned up after the job, and keep me in the loop on a weather delay. An outdoor light was accidentally damaged by the stump grinding firm (not even part of Gordon), and Gordon made it 100% right for me very quickly with no effort on my part. I even received a call from the owner when he felt one of his staff wasn't 100% responsive to me on that issue. He wanted to ensure I had a positive service experience - which is so very rare these days. I am amazingly impressed by this company, and will be sharing the word with others. I had 2 sink holes in my yard which were the result of stumps being buried 30 years ago when my house was built. Gordon provided a base estimate, since he could not determine what he would find. His quote was similar to other quotes that I received, but I was impressed with his desire to plan the activity. We agreed upon a plan of how he would bring the tractors/equipment and dirt into the yard and remove the stumps. He brought 2 tractors to dig and haul away the stumps. He had the right equipment to do the job and followed the plan we agreed upon. The final cost was greater than the original estimate due to extra work that had to be done to finish the job. The price was fair, the crew worked late to finish the job on time, and when the job was completed it was as I requested. If I had more work to do, I would call Gordon to do the job. read more
