The doctor comes in , doesn't introduce himself or anything . I ask is that the needle and he says yes and instantly starts to poke me. I was in tears because not only was I not heard but I wasn't comfortable. Later on the numbing goes away and I can't even close my mouth to chew. I couldn't even chew on my left side because of the filing they put in it. I had to get it shaved down two days later, not the next day because no dentists was in ,A week day at that. Before that happened, I went to visit, Gregory J. Duffner, Doctor Kreuz' partner, for a consult. Doctor Duffner recommended I go to to Doctor Kreuz for the oral surgery. I had four wisdom teeth removed in total. They were removed in two different surgeries to not overwhelm the mouth and not cause too much bleeding. This was the best surgery. I was knocked out for about an hour and a half...and when I awoke, I didn't feel any pain. SWEET! I don't think it was the drugs they provided me with because they wear off, it was the careful manner in which the surgery was done. I hardly felt anything at all. It was great for both times my wisdom teeth removed. I was provided with concise and clear information regarding the surgery and post-op details on everything, in a simple to understand conversational manner, no condescending attitude, just great customer service by Doctor Kreuz and all his staff. I found Supreme Dental Care in Orland Park, Illinois, online and read the few Yelp reviews, which were great. I went to the appointment in late July of 2025. The office was very nice, modern, spacious, and clean. It was an excellent environment in a great location. The office staff were cordial but not overly friendly. I was quickly seen by the assistant, who took my X-rays. Unfortunately, I will never return to this dentist. After showing me my X-rays on the big screen, Dr. Maha told me that I had bone loss, five cavities, and needed a deep cleaning. I did not believe her at all. This was puzzling to me because I have a great set of teeth, and I visit the dentist every six months for a cleaning and exam. My teeth are in great condition with no buildup, and I take good care of them. She told me all of these procedures would have to be done over the span of five visits. I did not believe her findings or recommendations. Later on, I canceled the appointment. The next week, I went to another dentist for the same annual exam, X-rays, and cleaning. I needed a second opinion. This dentist found one small cavity. Despite that, she said my teeth and gums were in great condition. I did not need a deep cleaning, nor did I need five fillings! I do not have any bone loss. To conclude, I believe that Dr. Maha was trying to perform unneeded dental work on me in order to bill the insurance company and myself. She wanted me to undergo five visits to fill all of my supposed cavities and perform a painful deep cleaning that I did not need. I'm glad that I saw through those false claims. But since she was almost done, and my mouth had been open already for 3 hours for a front tooth root canal, I said just finish. This dentist's only comment was that the Novocaine sure wore off fast. The office staff seems to handle things well and no one seems busy in the least. However, I have spent months calling and emailing trying to get the next stages of care for my kids set up without any reply. Finally I got a randomly sent (not in response to my emails) reply about setting up care, and was able to connect with someone. Set up the appointment needed for my youngest. They knew what type of appointment it was because they quoted me the price for it, and it was not a cleaning. Forty minutes before the appointment, when I have spent days prepping my autistic kid for the break in routine, I get a call asking why I'm coming in and saying the treatment is no longer needed. It was implied that I had made a regular cleaning appointment, which I 1) did not do, and 2) those are covered by our insurance and would not have cost anything. I was frustrated that my child missed out on this treatment due to the office's lack of communication with me, and I shared as much. Not a single apology. I was told they could see that they had returned "a call" and had not been able to leave me a voicemail. I called multiple times, have never had problems with voicemail not working, and had also emailed asking to set up services, which were not replied to. I cannot recommend this office for dental care. I feel awful that I let it go this long; I should have moved on after a few weeks of nonresponse instead of waiting a few months. I just thought we could get back on track with them. I was made aware of The Dental Assistance Savings Plan via Kleer.com at the outset, and am considering it as I retired from work with COBRA coverage from an insurance which is out of network for The Center. I read the Savings Plan form carefully and believe that I understand it. A decision should be made shortly. There seems to be confusion concerning billing practices at the Center. As I see it it is up to the patient to ask questions, take notes if needed and to make sure that they fully understand The Center's billing and receivables requirements.
