Had 3 extractions done just to find out the partial had an extra tooth in the back so it was very uncomfortable. Like why would you add an extra tooth to the partial on one side but not the other if it wasn't supposed to be there in the first place. After several attempts of Dr. Gregory Den trying to adjust the partial he still failed to make it comfortable. Then once I left the office and tried to send my niece back inside because I was so upset that I spent a lot of money to have this procedure done and I was not satisfied. I wanted to ensure my prescriptions had been ordered for pain/antibiotic and I believed I may have dropped my sunglasses while inside. They immediately locked the door behind me and refused to take my calls after multiple attempts. Not only that, he admitted they over charged me for the procedure. I will be filing a complaint with the Illinois State Dental Society and Division of Professional Regulation and possibly a lawsuit. You don't treat customers this way. His dental assistant working with him had a very nasty attitude as well. Even my niece noticed the same thing. She started putting numbing gel on my back teeth initially and I told her I was having my front teeth extracted. She goes oh, and then looked at my chart and started using the topical gel on the appropriate teeth. Didn't apologize or anything. The allowed blood to get on my brand new sweatshirt and only provided me with 1 gauze to leave with. my niece asked if we could have another one for the ride home. The dentist instructed her to give my niece 2 more instead. She shook her head and gave my niece only 1 and left the room.

At the end of the appointment I was given an idolize bill of what my treatment will cost and potentially how much my insurance would pay for. I ended up going to "Infinity Smile Dental" located in South Holland. Not only is Infinity Smiles office clean, their staff is extremely nice, its equipment is extremely up-to-date and My treatment was at a little over $1,000 less than what A-Z was about to charge for the same braces treatment.

OSD could not retrieve fragment even after multiple attempts by both hygienist and Dr. Doebler. OSD referred me to periodontist friend who also tried repeatedly but could not remove fragment without removing # 15 molar which fragment is lodged under, causing further dental complications for me. Through communication from periodontist's office, OSD is offering to pay for the removal of the molar tooth but not complications resulting from the removal which is only necessitated by OSD's failures. I now need to file lawsuit and a complaint against licensed dentist(s) w IL Dept of Professional Regulation in an effort to rectify the situation brought on only by actions or inactions of Orland Square Dental. I personally cannot not recommend this organization. I have given OSD multiple opportunities to do the right thing but have been left disappointed. I have spent hours in pain and the dental chair in an effort to retrieve an instrument fragment that OSD broke in my tooth. I had no part in causing this nightmare. I am sure I would not be in this situation but for Orland Square Dental's failures.

I have written many reviews in…read morepraise of not only his extraordinary talent as a practitioner, but his obsession with staying in lockstep with the latest innovations in dentistry, his professional but welcoming staff, his comfortable, relaxing office. And his consistent devotion to the welfare of his patients above all else that has not changed since day one. But I never appreciated him more than when I recently underwent an emergency root canal procedure with him.. It seems Dr. Alex has a whole separate gear to handle these situations. It began with a slight nagging toothache, very minor, but concerning because I am fortunate enough to never get toothaches. On a whim, I called the office (closed-it was 6 p.m. on a Sunday), debated, then chose the option for the emergency line and left a message. Within 10 minutes, I received a call back from Dr. Alex, who was on vacation at the time. As always, he showed deep concern, and asked questions to which I replied that I felt I was not in crisis. (I am prone to self-diagnosis which, honestly, rarely works out). "Just too much aggressive flossing". He offered to send an RX for antibiotics and pain killers just as a precautionary measure. I declined-so very sure I would not need them. Ha! He suggested alternating OC Anti-inflammatory and painkillers to help with the pain. Monday being a holiday, he told me to come into the office on Tuesday AM at opening and he would take me right away. Fast forward to 1 a.m. on Tuesday and awakening with a throbbing, excruciating pain the likes of which I have never experienced before. Yes, an abscess on my gum the size of Texas and, as we discovered later, an infected tooth. Dr Alex was in the office waiting for me and saw the problem immediately. He and his staff sprung into action and in the next hour and a half, performed the first of two non-invasive stages of a root canal procedure in a completely painless manner. And with the aid of state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment with amazing precision. But most of all, with caring and respect. Pain gone. Two weeks later, I returned for the final phase and am now in recovery. Still no pain! How do you thank someone enough for setting the gold standard for patient care? Try and tell the world.

He insisted that I needed a root canal on that tooth. Even though he poked around my mouth and I haven't been having any pain he refused to replace my cap. I was there several years ago, at that time he told me I needed to get a root canal on that same tooth or to have the tooth pulled. I made an appointment to get the tooth pulled. At that time the female Dentist asked me why I was having it pulled. I explained to her Dentist told me I had no choice. She told me she could save it and she did. It's been at least six years and I've had no pain. The only problem I have with it at this point is that the crown came loose. But he wasn't happy that the other dentist was able to save my tooth. He wants me to have the root canal at any cost . He also refused to fill the cavity that was next to it until I had this root canal completed, and he saidwould refer a surgeon to me. I expressed to him that I didn't have the money at this time. I asked him again politely to just glue in the crown so I can but a little time until I could save the money for a root canal and which he told me we'd be around $1500 or to have the tooth pulled but that would cost about $3500 because then I would have to have a bridge made fill in the gap of the missing tooth. Again, I explained to him that I live on disability, and I didn't have the money for this at the time and I would have to save up for it unless the surgeon would take payments. Again, he refused cement in the cap or fill the cavity. Then he refused to give me the referral for the surgeon because I didn't have the money he then told me since you can't afford it anyway he would not give me a referral for the surgeons. He cared very little about the health of my teeth. His only concern was this root canal. I'm betting he gets a kickback for all of his referrals otherwise he might have been more accommodating. He's a cranky old man who cares little about his patients and more about the money. He's knows my insurance won't cover it and was unwilling to help me buy a little time to save money for a procedure that I honestly don't believe I need done immediately or at all, There is no pain coming from the tooth or any other immediate need to have the procedure done. All I needed was a Little time to save for the procedure and he absolutely refused to help he wants me to have future damage to the toothache and be in pain just to prove his point!!!I won't ever go back to him or recommend any else to go to him.
