They have a beautiful outdoor patio, but it was a bit warm for a Midwest girl on my visit. I had the El Plebe and Taco el Campo as well as a classic margarita. They also brought each of a small cup of beans when we sat down. That was comfort food in styrofoam. Service started out strong but as it got busier, our server was a little less attentive. No worries though--we enjoyed the crowd and chatting.

The foot-long quesadilla blended tender carne asada, two cheeses, onions, spices and other flavors into a buttery, crispy tortilla. Absolutely delicious! The frijoles were also fantastic- great blend of lime and broth. The service was impeccable. My waitress was knowledgeable of the menu, kind and attentive. I also loved the atmosphere, they had the World Cup playing and it added to the good vibes.

The plates are just what you would hope for and expect for the price. Tacos Kissi is not focused on aesthetics, it is all great food at low prices. I would go back again and again. Our server was great. My sister was given the sunny side up eggs instead of scrambled eggs. Despite my sister not requesting for them to be replaced, the waiter brought them over shortly after bringing out the initial meal and excused herself for the mistake. The music is great, seats are comfortable, and restrooms are very clean. Can't wait to go back.

I often judge a restaurant by its morning coffee, and the coffee here is very good. I was surprised to get each adding in an individual stack. I managed to get my egg yolk over the avocado and chorizo. The food was really good, just not what I expected. The flautas de papa were a great buy. We finally ordered--only to receive chicken fajitas instead of beef. Sent them back, waited again. Strike two. When the corrected order arrived? The fajitas were completely bland. No seasoning. The sweetbread--crispy on the outside, yes--but equally flavorless. And then we realized they'd forgotten the beans entirely. Those charro beans? The most tasteless I've ever had in my life. Strike three. The ambiance was nice (though overpriced for a mall spot), but the food was a shadow of what I experienced here a year ago. Such a shame--Mexican cuisine should sing with spice and care. This was a silent, disappointing echo.
