These guys added new life to my many generations old Ipod Touch. $60 for a screen repair beats $400 for a new 64G Ipod Touch. But... I'd be pretty upset if I expected perfection. There are 4 rows of dead pixels at the bottom (the cracked screen that was replaced didn't have that) there is some goo coming out from under the screen (adhesive?). And I got a different story on the turn-around time every time I talked to someone (and two of the times the guys said "I'm one of the owners". If you have a newer ipod/iphone: bring it to apple for the repair! But if you've got an old Junker like me: you get what you pay for. I give them two stars (aka "Meh, I've experienced better".) Epilogue: Upon reading my review on Yelp, Gophermods reached out to me. They were, as I see it, sincerely concerned that I was unhappy with the repair. Since my old Ipod was, in fact, rather beat-up, I was not concerned enough about the aesthetic issues listed above to have it re-repaired under warranty. Certainly not concerned enough to be without my Ipod for days more, or to drive across town to have them repair it while I wait. Sent my ps3 in because of the overheating matter. They call me a week later telling me my hard drive was broken because of shipping. If anyone owns a ps3 you know that the hard drive is located on the side of the ps3 tucked in neatly so no matter how you drop or throw a ps3 the hard drive should not be bothered. So they said all my data was gone and that I was going to have to pay for a new hard drive or file a claim with ups. So currently I'm Waiting on the claim and it has been 3 weeks now... It looked good, but a few hours later the phone went dark and wouldn't respond. Seemed like a case where it could have been a latent problem from the drop, or it could have been caused by the repair work. Well, I brought it back, they took a look, and gave me two totally fair options: either try a new battery, or put the cracked screen back on with a full refund. I went to Gophermods to have my daughter's iPhone screen replaced after it had already been replaced by another company previously and it was coming loose AGAIN and I didn't want to deal with them anymore. Arrived on a Saturday morning, they were very nice and told me it would take one hour, 30 minutes later I got a call and was told it was done. They went through all of the phone operations to confirm everything worked, and they told me there were a number of missing screws inside (from the other bozos) and that they took care of it. These guys are fantastic,! I brought my iPhone 6+ in because I thought it needed a new battery, wasn't charging. I was quoted a price to replace the battery but when I went back a short while later I was told the only thing it needed, after it was thoroughly checked out, was a good charging port cleaning, which they did and did not charge me a cent. Saw the blinking red light on my PS3, and I went straight to my computer to look up what it was. After reading message board after message board about having to send it into Sony and pay at least $150 AND wait 8 weeks, I decided to do a search on Bing, and found Gophermods right at the top of the list. Not only did they schedule after hours drop off and pick up for me, they were more than happy to offer it. I dropped it off Monday and picked it up on Wednesday, it's back to working great again. I'm a repeat customer of Gophermods. I brought in my PS3 last year when it died, and brought in my 360 a few months later after it died as well. My wife has a tablet that broke, and we had been waffling on getting it repaired or just buying a new one. Then, Thursday we received an email from Gophermods stating they were having a 15% off all repairs sale, excluding a few specific phone models. Perfect timing it seemed, so we dropped it off on a Saturday morning (the sale was Friday and Saturday), and from the start, the person working the counter tries to push off that the sale was only Friday. My wife pointed out that their sale clearly stated that it was Friday and Saturday. Hesitantly they agreed and then pointed out that her model of tablet was not covered by this sale, and she would have to pay full price. This is clearly a bait and switch. The models that weren't covered are not the tablet my wife has. When I go in to pick up the tablet after the repair, I will be informing them I will not be returning again. I was happy with the service I had received previously, but after this, I will look elsewhere to get my hardware repaired, and I suggest you do the same. read more

My Xbox 360 started to have difficulties playing my games. When I contacted Xbox support, they told me I needed a new disk drive. So I searched on yelp where to get it fixed, and Gophermods got pretty consistently good reviews. I am glad I sent my Xbox to them because they fixed it perfectly. And you cannot beat the price. The only reason why I don't give them five stars is because of some communication problems. I received an email that they tried to call me several times. However my cell phone and my home phone had no record of this. So I emailed them back the problem and then I called them the following day. When the man answered the phone, I asked if I could speak to the person whom I emailed. There was complete silence and therefore I proceeded to tell him the issue. After more silence I asked if it would be helpful if I gave him my customer ID number. He finally spoke and then transferred me to someone else who was very helpful. Nonetheless I will use them again and I recommend other people as well! read more

I would have appreciated a better explanation from them and at least consideration seeing that it broke 24 hours after I paid $130 to get it fixed. I never thought I would be the person who would crack the screen of their iPhone. But today I was. After shock and then some tears, I finally did a search on Yelp to see who could fix it. Gophermods came up as highly recommended and when I looked them up online it said that they could fix your phone in about an hour. What joy! I dropped it off at their sparse but welcoming office. They were quick and efficient in processing my order and told me to come back in an hour and a half. Easy peasy! I arrived on time and only had to wait 10 min as they finished up their work. While I waited I had coffee and perused the magazines on the table. The fix was impeccable! They did a test with me to make sure the camera, sounds, speaker, wifi, etc were all working. Passed the test with flying colors! I went from shattered phone to brand new in a matter of hours. And for only $120 or so. I have an iPhone 5S and they were running a special. Pretty good deal! Only comment: I think they should assure you that your privacy will be maintained somehow, given how much data is on a person's phone it would be nice to know that they have a policy on that. Very very bad experience with my PS3 service here. First of all, they advertise themselves for 24 hour turnaround for the device going to repair once they receive the product. "As soon as we receive your console it takes us 24 hours to repair your PS3 console. This does not include weekends and holidays." I called them to make sure that was the case after I placed the order. I was told yes and once they receive it, it will take within 24 hours to get it done. I called them again after they have received the products for 3 days and asked them the status of my PS3. Was told its gonna take another week before the technician even looked at my PS3 because there were orders ahead of mine. Wait a sec, I called you guys right away to confirm the 24 hour time of repair after I told you my order number over the phone and that's what you guys said on your page . Is this the way you guys conduct your business? The guy I talked to over the phone was not helpful at all and kinda rude to me. He told me if I want, they can return my product and have to charge me a 29.99 handling and shipping fee. I paid extra 20 dollars for the UPS fragile packaging to get it shipped there. Aren't you guys supposed to reimburse that cost back to me if I were going to cancel the order? If I knew this is the way you guys doing business, no way I would ever send my products here for repair. read more

I just had a large repair on an iPhone 4S including front glass, back glass, and lock button. They have a bundle deal to get the last two at 50% the normal price. So for $120, I basically got a new phone in less than three hours. Amazing. When I picked up the phone, they went through a detailed check list to make sure all parts of the phone were in working order and not just the parts fixed, and he also explained why he was doing everything.
