1 STAR -- Absolutely Horrible Conditions…read more This place was extremely disappointing and honestly heartbreaking. The animals did not appear to be properly cared for at all. The emu was confined to a tiny pen between two buildings, which was especially sad to see. The kangaroos and alpacas were also kept in very small, cramped enclosures. Several animals had dirty water, and the overall conditions made it seem like the animals' basic needs were not being prioritized. The lobby smelled strongly of cat urine and was extremely unpleasant. The cleanliness of the facility was unacceptable. The pony ride was also incredibly disappointing. We paid for a pony ride and got one lap around a tiny area. We were then charged separately for food to feed the animals. What bothered me most is that this is a business making money from these animals, yet the animals we saw did not appear to be receiving the care, space, cleanliness, or conditions they deserve. These are living animals, not attractions to be squeezed into tiny pens just to generate money. I left feeling genuinely sad and angry for the animals. They deserve so much better. I would absolutely not recommend this place. The conditions we witnessed need to be addressed, and the welfare of the animals should come before making money from them.

I have a heart condition so my wife went to find somebody to help us, She met a young man who was working with a man named Joe(a retired police officer) and they came over to help .Joe suggested I go to the metro fist aid center and I agreed to. The metro team immediately went into action giving me an EKG and checked my vitals. They asked me about my medical problems and stayed with until my blood pressure became better offering to take me to a hospital , I started feeling better so Joe drove us to our space in the No.4 lot. These people were very caring and professional, You are lucky to have them at the Fair. These people are Amazing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! John Stefan

I have been to some light drive thru displays where it charged per person in the car which is quite ridiculous. Upon entry into the fairgrounds, there were two lines that eventually merged but kept the ticket scanning at a decent pace. One thing that wasn't the best was that as soon as you entered, the pavement was horrific. Almost too bad for a lower sitting car. If we had went any faster, the bottom of the car would be ruined. Also, the music on their radio station could've had more upbeat music for the children. Lastly, you are able to stop at a holiday village which has snacks, a synthetic ice rink, Santa photo area and more! If you live in the area, this is definitely worth a stop. But it isn't worth a drive to go there.

We figure it's a great way to bring family together (my family is mostly in California) and have the celebration we always wanted. I knew I didn't want a boring wedding hall so we began searching for different types of venues (i.e. barns, restaurants, vineyards, etc.) for about two weeks until one night I just so happened to stumble upon Hines Hill campus via Google images. I fell in love with the pictures and two weeks ago Friday, my husband and I took the long, steep, winding trek out to see the property which is out in the STICKS, woo-hoo! I was blown away at how perfect it was - and this is the Winter (well, technically it's Spring but this is Cleveland and still feels like December some days). Even though the trees were bare, the grass was an ugly hay yellow color and the sky a depressing gray, it didn't distract from the beauty of the buildings, especially my favorite location - the barn! Brittany, the event coordinator was extremely nice and greeted us outside. She showed us all three building starting with the Hines Hill conference center. She was very knowledge about the buildings and gave us some short and interesting historical facts regarding them. It had a kitchen, bathroom and a roundtable downstairs. Upstairs, enough space for 40 people. It's cozy and reminded me of a ski lodge. She explained that the guys usually get dressed in this building. We moved on to the quaint and awesome looking stone cottage which holds 12 people and is usually used for ladies to get ready in. Loved it! It too had a full kitchen (mimosas anyone!?). In between the cottage and bar, there is a fire pit where you can sit around and chill (they provide lawn chairs). On to my favorite spot because that's where the reception is going to go DOWNNN - the barn! It's a nice size but not huge. If you're looking for huge, Happy Days Lodge is more your speed. The barn holds 80 (all sitting room). It's pretty open (2 large doors) and since it's not a historical building, we can decorate how we please. A few facts (if you're reading this in 2015 and beyond, the prices/facts may have changed): -even if you're only using the barn, you will have access to all three buildings for your allotted time -the Hines Hill campus is for a smaller crowd where the the Happy Days Lodge and their buildings are for bigger parties. They are both affordable with the Hines Hill campus being the most affordable -deposit is 30% (nonrefundable) and the rest is due 4 weeks before your wedding. They accept check and credit cards -using the barn at the Hines Hill campus means you have to rent all your tables, chairs, linen, etc. from an outside company. Not a huge expense if you're having a small group. If you're having 80, you're costs will rack up quick! You can use the the conference room - tables/chairs included (limited space - 40 max sitting) -if you want booze, you must pay a $150 service charge. We will gladly pay it because a dry wedding... *GUFFAW* You also bring in your own booze and you need to hire a bartender -you also must use one of their five caterers which I was bummed out about at first until I viewed each caterer. 2 out of the 5 that were listed were a perfect fit for our reception (BBQ) and are pretty affordable. Again, the more people you have = more $$$ you pay. I never understood why people invite 150+ people. My 2nd cousins don't need to be present for such a personal day, especially if I have to feed you, booze you up, pay for your entertainment, and buy you a little gift! Eh, that's just us though. Let me get off my soap box about that! -there are discounts for having your wedding on a Friday and Sunday or off season but the discounts only apply for the Happy Days Lodge I must say again how helpful Brittany was and how fast she was to answering questions and setting up a time to see the property. She also gave me a 9 page .pdf of vendors, nearby hotels, etc. I can come as many times as I need to see the property between now and our event. I can tell that she will be awesome to work with. Patricia, who sent over the contract, was also quick to answer any questions I had in a very timely manner. If you're looking to have a rustic or outdoorsy type wedding, like being secluded, surrounded by a beautiful national park and dealing with a professional friendly staff - you may want to check this location out!

Visited Skyview for a photogrpaphy fundraiser recently. The place was set up very nicely. The food…read morethat was served was excellent and there was a very good selection. We enjoyed ourselves. The bartenders were friendly and when there is an open bar, that always adds a sense of happiness. The view was nice overlooking western Brunswick, Ohio. Although there was a trailer, a tractor, and other homestead items at the bottom of the hill in the back, which was clearly visible. If you're looking for a place to get hitched and have a reception immediately following your wedding ceremony, this could be a decent option. There was a fair amount of parking available and a paved lot. I wouldn't call the venue glamorous, but it is definitely functional.

Comparatively to other venues, it's in the middle ground as far as pricing, however they do not charge a facility or staffing fee, (almost) everything is built in, so that's definitely a bonus. \ We had our wedding in late November, but a spring/summer/fall wedding can be held outdoors on their beautiful patio with a really cool fire pit. (we had our ceremony inside in front of the fire place and it was great) They have a really cool lounge loft that we did our first looks in and those pictures were my favorites. We had 60 for dinner, I'm sure you could go higher, but it was a very comfortable number for us especially since using the patio as part of the space wasn't really an option. The dinner was awesome, it is owned by the same owner as Strip next door, and I highly recommend the steak. It's also nice because Old Avon Village has two restaurants for rehearsal dinners and lots of parking and photography options.
