The service he provided was outstanding and most importantly I had a lot of confidence in his abilities to perform the job that was needed to give me and my wife the peace of mind, knowing that the house met the quality and the code requirements. I can not recommend this company. They missed so many issues with a house we bought last year. I…read moreunderstand they can't see or test everything, but what they missed was completely visible. One major issue is that our hot water heater was installed completely wrong, leading to what will be thousands in repairs/replacement. This would have been very easy for them to see. We paid them nearly $1k expecting they would find issues like this that were easy to spot since it's on the exterior of our home. They also failed to find that our laundry room has no hot water. I'm very disappointed that we spent all that money thinking we had an experienced inspector who would find all such problems, only to discover we will spend thousands correcting it when it could have been the seller's responsibility.

We never even spoke over the phone, yet her communication and customer service were top-notch. Unfortunately, I had to cancel the appointment the day before. A full refund was processed immediately--no questions asked. Leigh was so understanding and accommodating of our situation, which left a lasting impression. Fortunately the following week, I was able to reschedule and once again, Leigh made it happen seamlessly. Our assigned inspector Marc Freislinger came out on a Sunday, arriving early and already working when we got there. He was friendly, thorough, and easy to talk to. During the review, he walked us through everything clearly and even offered valuable advice on what to ask the builder regarding repairs. That same evening, he sent a detailed inspection report--complete with clear photos and notes--just as promised. I can't recommend Desert State Home Inspections highly enough.
