I had all four brakes replaced but they replaced the idle control valve cover because the 'tests' said it needed done. This was the problem, my car became undrivable. The part they installed was 'bad' and caused a stall out every time I put it in reverse. It took them an additional 4 days to get the part and install it. I was on vacation in Ocean City and my tire pressure sign would not go off. I looked up places to fix it and found Goodyear. I am so glad I did. The place was near Ocean city. The employees were quick to help me as soon as I walked in and even though they couldn't look at the tire immediately they made an appointment for me to come back the next morning. Even before I left Jesse looked at the tire to make sure it was safe for me to drive. That is above and beyond what I expected. The next morning I came back and was immediately helped. The waiting room was wonderful. It had fresh coffee and snacks and was just way overall very comfortable. Within 30 minutes my car was done and I paid for the repair which was only $30. The service manager John was very efficient and helpful and Matt did a wonderful job. When I got in my car I had a nice note and a new air freshener from Matt . I honestly never expected this level of care from a chain tire repair place in a tourist town no less. I highly highly recommend them. read more

Went to Goodyear to get my tire looked at on a Wednesday morning because it had a slow leak. 2 guys smoking out back in uniform, big empty car bays, and nobody in the waiting room. The counter man said I'd have to leave my car for the day because they were so busy. As I left I also noticed the parking lot was empty. This is a big place with tons of potential. Goodyear needs to send a rep over to see for themselves. It's unfortunate and bad business. I went elsewhere, and they checked my tire and I was done in an hour. read more

After having a flat tire while in Ocean City for the weekend, we found this Goodyear service center who fixed our problem. We'd gone to another place in Berlin and that place told us they didn't see a leak (likely more related to the fact that the guy wanted to get out of there and was closing at 11 a.m.). So we luckily found this place and they were delightful. Even with no appointment, they took us, found the hole in the sidewall and found a used tire for just $65 to at least solve our problem of having a safe trip home. While the vehicle will need 4 new tires, this at least enabled us to get home safely. The staff was courteous, explained everything and had us out of there in just over an hour (which at least enabled us to have the beach day we'd planned!). I'd recommend this service center highly if you live in the area or are visiting and have issues like we did! read more

I have to say that I am always skeptical about auto repair places. But this place has renewed my faith. I was on a camping trip and my car simply wouldn't start despite hooking it up to another car to jump it. And, this was on the morning we were going to leave. I struggled to find a place open on Sundays and decided to go with Goodyear because of its reputation (as opposed to a no name auto shop). They took me immediately knowing that I was in a bind. As it turns out, they just needed to jump my car (albeit with an industrial jumper - there was apparently a lot of computer systems running on a big battery). Sitting in the waiting room, I read a sign that says "We only do necessary work. That's our guarantee." I rolled my eyes at the quote knowing that most places try to find something to replace and thus charge you for it. The technician returned and said there was no charge. It was just the battery and they even ran test to confirm it. I was amazed! Truly, they only do what is necessary and have the courtesy to help a guy out on top of it. I don't why I assumed that going to an auto place for brake repairs as an out of towner was going to be a bad experience and a rip off. Boy was I wrong! The employees here could not be more kind, efficient, and helpful. The sitting area was insane. They had a kids bouncer and high chair (which I actually used because I showed up unexpectedly at 7am), tons of food, tv, and clean bathroom. Had a slow leak in one tire. The guy at the desk looked at the one tire and told me that because it's an all wheel drive vehicle I'd need 4 new tires. Asked him to just fix the one leaking tire & they put it on the lift and was told I'd need 2 new tires as both front tires had been driven on while flat. I guess when he failed to sell me 4 tires I didn't need he'd try to sell me 2 tires I didn't need. I don't know anything about tires, but I know BS when I hear it. Took it to another place in town. My ignition switch broke while in Ocean City on the day we were about to leave to go back to Baltimore so we had to call AAA to get a tow to salisbury because my lincoln continental has a chipped key so the ignition has to get a new key to program it. So the tow truck operator got to our hotel named Andrew and he called his shop the Goodyear Auto Service Center to see if they could fix it and program it to save us money. They could so my husband and i went in the towtruck with Andrew and it saved us majorly on the tow costs by over $65- $70 alone. Then they fixed my ignition so we could at least get home and it was soooo much less than what we were going to have to pay at the dealership by over $800 easy. AVOID THIS PLACE!!!! Worst customer service!!! Had a nail in our tire and took it in to have the tire replaced at 10 am and was told it would take maybe and hour/hour and a half. Went back a hour and a half later and was told probably another hour. Finally they called us at 2:30 pm to say our car was ready and only thing they could do for us was a patch because they didn't have our tire in stock. Maybe you should tell people that before they wait over 4 hours and we could have done a patch ourselves in 10 minutes. Not only that, they never put the logo cap back on our rim so now we are missing that from our vehicle. NEVER GO HERE!!! read more

My daughter, 3 young grandkids and I were stranded in Walmart parking lot. The first time I called Lucia asked me to hold then put me through to an answering machine. When no one called me back in 10 minutes I called Lucia again. All I asked for was a tow truck to come give us a jump, we weren't sure if it was the battery or alternator. Lucia told me her tow truck driver was out for a few days then she promptly hung up on me. Beware - this place is dishonest and untrustworthy!! I took my car to have a tire patched and the technician stole valueables from my center console including my entire camera, case, battery, etc. I noticed it the next day and in the console where my camera was located I found a small rubber car part that was for a different type of vehicle - proof that someone had been in there and accidently dropped the other part while taking my belongings!! I called the manager to explain what happened and he said he didn't know anything about it and they didn't take it. He didn't even seem to care or want to investigate further...so I also stopped by the store to talk to the owner and he said he talked to the technician and he denied it. I filed a police report and will never go there again and strongly recommend if you decide to go there that you take anything of value out of your car first! read more

Unfortuantely, Goodyear has lost a very good client. First, I took my car in for oil change and tire rotation. Picked car up on the same day. Two days later, I woke up to a flat tire. I called Goodyear on Saturday,June 9th, but they could not come out, because they didn't have enough people. Called Racetrack Marine and they were there in 30 min. Put air in my tire to get me to Goodyear. BIG MISTAKE! Ladies beware. I truly feel Goodyear will take advantage of females that no very little about cars. My tire was fixed and I paid for the service and left. Two hours later, again my tire was flat. Went back to Goodyear and explained that I was leaving for NC and I probably should get a new tire. Zac told me let's wait and see what they say about the tire. I was told leaky valve and tire patched and fixed. Off to NC for vacation. Two hours later I was stranded in Virginia Beach with the same tire flat. Citgo in Va Beach gave me amazing service. Goodyear could learn a lot from them. Citgo checked all of my tires and found that they were all low on air. Isn't that amazing. I had just had my tires rotated at Goodyear and all 4 were low on air and had to take my tire in for being flat, not once, but twice. Citgo found a pin hole in my tire and patched it for me. I spoke to the service manager at Goodyear, who was very hard to understand and had to explain everything several times to him. He called DAVE the owner and Dave stated that I was not to be reimbursed for anything. I spent almost $100 on the same tire. Please, if you don't want to be RIPPED off, avoid Goodyear in Ocean Pines. They don't care about customer service or their current clients. If DAVE would have looked at my history with Goodyear, he would have seen that I have spent $1000's of dollars there and was a loyal customer. NO more. I am done. I will NEVER go back there for even for a bulb change, because I guarantee, they will need instructions on how to figure it out. And in regards to the owner, don't you think he would want to know about complaints first hand to get the full story of the lousy service I received? Guess not!!! read more

On March 22nd I was on my way to Ocean City MD from northern Delaware. I was just coming off of Rt 113 onto 90 towards OC and I had a blow out on my truck. I was with my wife and 2 kids who are 4 and 6 and were panicking so I calmed them down and said no big deal. We just have to put the spare on so I pull off of 90 into an empty parking lot and to my surprise there is a Good Year Tire Store directly across the street. My lucky day right! Nope wrong!!!I walk into the auto parts/ marine store that is attached to the Berlin Goodyear and ask the nice man at the counter about purchasing one tire and he directs me further to the rear of the store and says "you've just made it, they close in 10 minutes". So I happily proceed to the Goodyear counter at 4:50 p.m. They close at 5. I tell 3 guys behind the counter about my tire blow out and that my truck is directly across the street which has Goodyears on it and I just need 1 tire replaced. They barely let me finish talking and didn't even really look up at me and say to me "we are closed!" So I say I just need one tire. So I get "we are open tomorrow we are closed now, don't you have a spare?". Ok I'm a pretty laid back person so I turned away and walked out back across the street to change my tire myself. In the middle of changing my tire and wheel with the spare, one of the 3 workers who was behind the counter was pulling flags to bring in for the night and was telling another worker (in a dark color Dodge Charger) to spin his tires. So he proceeds to pull out of his place of work spinning his tires and gets a little sideways. Then the third man that was behind the counter does the same thing (in a light color BMW 3 series coup) and they laughed. I felt like this was a slap in the face to me, as I am jacking up my truck to change my tire. I am Chrysler Tech mechanic at a Dealer in Delaware for over 15 years and I have stayed late several times to help people who were traveling and not local. I know I was not asking much to mount/balance one tire. It takes 15 minutes at the most to do this and technically they were still open til 5pm.
