Was able to get inspection same day and grateful for the friendly service! Thanks Goodyear!

So, like a lot of people, I have a car. Also, like most people, I do not like spending money  on servicing my car. Last time I was at Brenner Nissan, they informed me that my tires were looking pretty bald - like 2/32" or less 'bald'. That's pretty bald. They then informed me that in order to turn in my lease and not get charged an outrageous amount on new tires, that I should replace them myself. For a long while I thought, " Meh, I will just replace them right before I turn in the vehicle". Then, I came to my senses and reconsidered. Why should I buy brand new tires for someone else to drive the car around? I might as well by the damn tires now, and use them until vehicle-turn-in. Duh... So, anyway, after that seemingly obvious epiphany, I called around to a few different places with the same spiel. "I have a lease, want the cheapest, yet safest tires possible ... how much?" Firestone quoted me some outrageous price like 378.20 (for two). Then I called Good Year and spoke with the most helpful person I have ever spoke to at a mechanic. He walked me through all the options, both name brand and non-name brand. Helped me assess each one while I was on the phone with him and concurrently googling each of them, and then set me up for an appointment. This was the best car service experience I have ever had, with a friendly dude who really seemed to care about my needs as a customer. In the end, I purchased two new front tires and it only cost me $287. Exactly in the ball park I wanted to be in. There were tires that would have cost $25 bucks less, but he recommended I steer clear of those (pun intended!). The reasons he listed were similar to the reasons I found in talk threads on other websites. At the end of the experience, I feel like I was well taken care of, valued, and that they had my best interest in mind. I've taken my car to this facility about 10 years ago now and never had a problem. Recently I changed the tie rod ends on my vehicle and needed an alignment. I took it to this NTB. As soon as I left the parking lot and turned onto 22 I knew there was an isssue. It was doing the same thing it was doing before. Pulling to the right. It was not aligned what I paid them to do! I scheduled another appt this time I stayed in the waiting room. The fact that they wouldn't test drive the vehicle tells me they were completely lazy and just didn't want to deal with it. know it wasn't right this time either. Well once I got on 83 it started shaking and pulling to the right again. I tried to schedule again and the guy at the front desk " Buddy Parks" just said there's nothing he can do about it. Now I'm no alignment specialist but I've aligned vehicles my self with string and some jack stands with positive results. Yes it's tedious and takes time but that's what I'm paying you for! This is my daily driver which I rely on to get me to Baltimore and back so I wanted the alignment to be accurate. Not to just be lazy and not properly do your job. On top of that these guys thought it would be necessary to tell me about how there short staffed and had guys quit blah blah blah. I am not paying you to hear about your problems I'm paying to get my vehicle aligned! If I can get ahold of a corporate office I will be telling them about this one. This is ridiculous. Stopped in today for an oil change. There were no other customers when I arrived and three guys working in the garage. I spoke to the man at the counter and was told an oil change would take an hour. Wasn't thrilled about this - I can change my oil at my house myself in under 30 minutes. I only went in the first place because I had a coupon for a $17.93 oil change; however, my bill was $23. Not sure how that happened. They changed oil but nothing else. This place falls short compared to other places that top off your fluids and sweep out your car. Going forward I will continue to change my oil myself. For those of you who do need to go somewhere I suggest finding another place. This place is not worth the time or the money. read more

Do not go here! I needed to have my car inspected and was told it would be $825 just for it to pass inspection and they felt I needed other things replaced as well. I told them I could not afford that and took it elsewhere where it cost me just $151. Not only did they tell me that my front breaks did not work properly(when the other shop told me they were fine) they were going to charge me almost $400 for a muffler while the other shop replaced the muffler for just over $100. In addition they tried to change me $20 to screw in a $0.68 lightbuld that was out over my license plate. Although I did call and tell them about this and recieved an apology I would NOT recommend anyone going here. read more

We are from GA. Had a blowout, and needed all new tires. These guys were beyond helpful. Got us in and out in about an hour.

I went into Goodyear prepared to buy new tires. I spent a total of $750 to get new tires and having feeling pretty good about my decision I left. I went home and parked my car, 20 mins later I left for the grocery store and my tire pressure sensor was on. I returned to goodyear where they couldn't quite seem to find the problem so they replaced the tire that was deflating. So again I went home. Parked my car over night and got up for work and suprise suprise the pressure sensor was on. I went to work with a flattening tire and again they couldn't find what was wrong so the replaced another tire. The same thing happened a third time with the tire. I spent so much time in goodyear waiting for them to "fix" the problem. They gaurnteed every time that everything would be fixed. I moved to California a few months ago and low and behold the final tire that they did not fix is now leaking at the seam the same as all the other tires. I wasted my time and money at a place that is suposed to be an expert and replacing tires. All they did for me as well was give me a 50 dollar voucher to get my oil changed, which I will never use. There is so much competition on that strip of road for tires I would highly reccomend you go somewhere different. read more
