Preface: I know it may seem strange that I am writing a review for a place that is closed. That is the main reason I am writing this review. It's not closed, yet. I am working with our Yelp team to get this corrected. In the meantime, read on! Shoes stores pop up and disappear every week. It's just the nature of that business. But to find a place that has been around for over 3 decades is a wonder. You need a belt? They have you covered. A jacket? Socks? It's all here. And the team are some of the kindest people you'll meet. If you aren't familiar with the location, just know that it is only 5 minutes away from AU (Augusta University) and is easily accessible from Broad Street and Washington Road. And where else can you buy new shoes and get a haircut without having to change parking spaces? Walking in, I found signage letting me know how the shoes were laid out and the shelves had labels with the sizes. Now it is a little jumbled up and squeezed together right now, as they are preparing to close December 31st, but wade through the piles! There are deals everywhere. From dress shoes to casual to styles you want more of, this place has the shoes. I consider it a travesty that I didn't before, but I will be back frequently these next two months. Hidden gem !!!! Every time I'm in town I stop into this establishment!!! I've been visiting this place with my Mom since elementary school. It was originally located in a house across the street from its current location. Long story short this place has been around a long time!!!! The staff is uber friendly and helpful. The customers are pretty much the same!!! Every time I go in, I meet new & interesting people. Either I'm asking their opinion on something or they're asking mine. Either way, friendly meets during retail therapy is cool!!! The prices are great and the selections vast and ever changing. I grabbed a nice pair of Cole Hahn boots knee length boots for half retail price and a beautiful cognac pair of Frye boots that I love for about the same. Get in there on a Thursday when the new shipment arrives. There's something here for everyone. Mom, Dad, & the kids. Also a nice stock of Danskos for medical professionals and such. They also have unique fashion jewelry and scarfs, throws and lots of unique shoes!!! read more

I've been shopping here for 20 years. PS, I'm 25. It used to be in a house but it moved sometime in my teens to the building that used to be an old-fashioned soda shop my mom went to as a kid. This shoe store, I believe, sells shoes that have been worn once, like on a modeling catwalk, or for a magazine shoot, or something. So, they're discounted designer shoes. My family loves this store so much, it spans 3 generations. My grandmother, mom, sister and I swear by this store. Whenever we visit my grandmother in Augusta, we have to hit up Goody Two Shoes. It is not an option to skip it! The only drawback... since they're from models and whatnot, they won't have every size. So sometimes, my sister ends up buying the shoes I originally wanted ,and vice versa, but we still end up each with an awesome pair of shoes. This is a great place for work shoes and Danskos and Fry's. I swear they make deals with the factories or something. It's hit or miss on your side so you have to come in every week or at least keep up with them on Facebook but if you get lucky (and most times you will) you'll be walking out with $40 Fry's and $20 Dansko professionals! I love love love trying my luck at this place on the weekends. Don't hesitate to buy what you like 'cause it won't be there the next day. read more

They've got a good selection that changes every week for some good deals, especially if you find some that are part of their 1/2 off discounts. Be aware though that prices don't vary shoe to shoe, so sometimes it's not the deal you think it is (some shoes are previous season or cheaper brands). They have a strict no refund policy so be sure before you buy! They only give store credit for shoes with perfect soles. read more

I love this store. Every time I go in I know I am going to find at least one pair of really cool shoes, in my size, for a good price. Last week I found two pairs. One pair was $17.99 and the other pair was $35. $35 seems to be their regular price. I have bought many name brand shoes for $35 over the past 5 years. read more

I don't entirely understand the setup of this store, but they have cheap shoes in brands I like, so I'm not going to complain. They are only open Thursday-Saturday, and when I stopped in, there was a crowd of old ladies waiting for the doors to open (Thursday is senior discount day). The shoes are piled on shelves organized by size, and some of them get a little smushed or scuffed, but I found some real steals. Danskos seem to be their real draw, but they have other good offerings in shoes for men, women, and kids. read more

This is a place to find good deals but don't go here in a hurry. The shoes are not seconds just discontinued or returned. I have found some amazing deals over the years but one stop usually won't find exactly what your are looking for unless you are really lucky! Go every week and you will find what you won't! read more
