Stopped in for a drink after dinner. This place is nicer than some of their other locations. Several TV's for sports and a big patio in front. I tried their Wild Child beer and their Walnut Brown Bourbon. Both were very good. read more

This restaurant is located right by the river in Owensboro. They have a patio out front which is the perfect place to sit and enjoy your food and drinks when the weather is nice. We ordered the totchos, fish & chips, shrimp & grits, and sweet potato beignets. Everything tasted good and we didn't have any complaints about the food. Our server Katrina was the best part of the visit, though. She was amazing. She helped us figure out what to order and took care of us like we were regulars. I 100% recommend asking for Katrina if you visit this restaurant. read more

The place was very nice. Close to the water, so if the weather permits I would recommend sitting outside. We ended up getting the totchos, fish & chips, shrimp & grits, and the sweet potatoes beignets. The food was good. However, what made this a memorable experience for us was the service. I'll start with why 3 stars - the food wasn't great. I had the brisket reuben - the bread was great, but the brisket itself was super fatty and just not good. The fries could've made up for that, but they didn't. The place itself is open and right across from the water. They have a number of beers that they brew which was great. Went here twice. First time got the cod sandwich. I thought if I ever go back I'll try a burger because I didn't care for the cod sandwich. And, I absolutely love fish ! Second time I was with someone and their order was missing a few items that were of particular interest to them. The cook took the order off of the bill. Again I was underwhelmed with my food and didn't finish. This location would be an absolute dream spot for a fantastic restaurant ! Came here last month with a group of 8 for Saturday brunch. There wasn't a hostess to greet us and the bartender pretended we didn't exist. When a hostess finally came out from the kitchen she asked the bartender if she had greeted us and she grumpily said 'No'. Hostess apologetically took us to an outdoor table and was also our server. She seemed reluctant to be there, didn't have much knowledge of the menu and looked confused with each question we asked. Not sure if this is an all new staff or if they have hired people ill suited to be servers but a diagnosis should be done quickly if they expect to stay open. read more

Really like the menu options with something for everyone! Just not enough TV's for the NFL games on Sunday. Really excited to see something like this in Owensboro especially bringing people downtown! When passing through Owensboro this is a pretty good spot to stop for some typical Americana style food. The service was a little bit slower than other places we've been but we were in no rush so that didn't bother us. We decoy to sit out on the patio and chat with family about or next roadtrip destination. This gave us the great view of the river and the fountains just outside of the restaurant. Badwood. Hopefully some place good will take over this space when Goodwood goes out. Our party of four was greeted by an empty host stand and two oblivious bartenders doing their best to ignore us, with one doodling on his phone. After a few minutes, a pleasant lady showed up, seated us and said she would be our server. We ordered the Bavarian pretzel with beer cheese as an appetizer. The pretzel looked great, but lacked any real flavor and the beer cheese tasted like regular nacho cheese. I ordered the "Waylon" burger which is topped with sliced brisket. The brisket was tough with a big slab of fat on it. The burger as a whole was underwhelming and was supported by a massive quantity of from froze food service seasoned fries. Two sandwiches, one soft drink and a pretzel was $60 with tip. Rest assured, nothing is made from scratch here. read more

I love sitting and looking out at the river. This place is modern and has wonderful views my friend and I enjoyed the hamburgers. Big and juicy fresh buns all the toppings perfect. The sweet potato fries were notably crunchy on the outside just the right amount of softness on the inside, they're bigger than most. I enjoyed a local beer. It was good and cold and delicious. They had a wide selection. The staff could be improved. They weren't that attentive. It was hard to get their attention when you need something. The prices on the drinks are expense. The food is a few dollars more than comparable places. This is a great spot to relax and enjoy. read more

I took my sister here for her birthday. I got the Kale salad. I love Kale Salad. The kale was so tough I couldn't cut it with the knife the gave me. I had to ask for a steak knife. Really ? Pre fab Chicken fingers, burgers and wraps with tater tots (or poorly cooked chips) on this kind of build out? Deep Fried Tater Tots ?!?! ... Who is your chef ? Ronald McDonald? Burgers, Chicken Tenders, Wraps, Fries , Tots and Chips? Sounds like the kids menu.... You have a beautiful multi million dollar restaurant in the heartland of the country and this is your menu? Really ? Shame, such a beautiful build out, with an incredible view and you are serving what amounts to boxed frozen fast food. I can cook Tyson Chicken Tenders at home. So for my lunch I asked for suggestions and got a short abrupt ... "the burger" ... ?!?! Beyond the obligatory burger she had no recommendations. Sad. So I assume all of your food sucks beside the same boring over priced burger that restaurants these days are trying to act is special? Sorry ... it's really not. Especially at $15. All that being said you would think the execution would be on point. No.... My "Club Wrap" was a sad effort to pass off barely edible boxed frozen chicken tenders and deep fried bacon. Must have been "The Losers Club" ... I mean for real.... at this type of place you cant be bothered to properly cook the bacon? The bacon on my wrap was overcooked to obliteration. It was as if they scraped the bottom of the deep fried bacon holding cambro and put it on my wrap. The chips were over cooked (burnt) yet you still plated them and sent them out. The loosely rolled wrap itself wasn't even grilled properly. You set it on the grill to get the marks but I guess you were in such a rush you couldn't wait for it to crisp in the slightest. Is anyone checking the food as it goes out? The service was impersonal and as cold as the wide empty restaurant. The day after Christmas this place should be packed.... Dee's (a greasy spoon down the street) was... with a wait. So with very few customers you would think the service and attention would be paramount to encourage guests to return. It wasn't. The "Brew Pub" had no craft brewery on site. The space was there for it and It looks as if they intended to have one but either they ran out of money or they didn't think their guests were important enough to care. If you are trucking in the beer from Louisville it's not a brew pub.... It's just a pub. (and not a particularly good one) Honestly .... The right chef and staff could turn this into a local landmark.... they obviously haven't found either. Your menu is hot garbage, and your execution of the food seemed to be prepared to match. Stunning location, great view... this increases expectations walking in the door. Your food however doesn't live up to what i imagine is someone's multi million dollar investment. The restaurant and decor screams Michelin... the food whimpers Burger King. You are wasting the owners money like I wasted mine today. read more

The host stand is a very important first impression of a business. Today, the hostess Christie was NOT the friendly welcoming representative that a guest wants. She did not make eye contact, turned away, did not smile, acted angry; giving this business a negative atmosphere. I am visiting from another state. I had lunch here yesterday and had a wonderful experience with every staff member, friendly and pleasant. I returned, expecting a similar great experience. The food was very good and all other staff were friendly and professional. Please provide better training and / or supervision to this key position. I hope your business is a success, but rude employees won't make that happen. read more

The resturant is nice with a great view on the water. The buffalo cauliflower was great. The wings were wonderful and they had a wide variety of sauces. I was a little disappointed with the Strawberry salad as the chicken was very dry. The staff was great and very on point. read more

Sat with a customer at a table from 6pm to 7:15 PM yesterday. One server came by and said they would get our server, but we never heard anything again. The view is nice so we were holding out, but we never even got water. I understand staffing is hard now, but they just have to be more honest with people upfront. Went on a Friday night, not overly crowded. The Hostess was not at all personable. Beer selection was ok, but this is not a brew pub by any measure. All three of us ordered the peanut butter jam burger. It was fair but the most memorable thing about it was how cold the bun was. You've got to be kidding me! Do they grab their buns out of the fridge and stick a burger on it? Why is it that the simplest things to do to make something better are not done. DO BETTER! For the third weekend in a row, I walked into the restaurant, plenty of seats available, and literally no one at the bar and was told there was a wait of 20 minutes. Maybe 40 customers in the restaurant. Was told they were short staffed in the kitchen. Probably 150 open seats, it's Friday after 5 and they are somehow short staffed the third weekend in a row. Place has good food and good beer but terrible management, how is it possible for the busiest time of the year on the busiest day to be short staffed. One week I can understand, anyone can get caught short but 3 weeks in a row is just poor management. Unprepared and disengaged. As a chef with 25 years of foodservice experience I can tell they aren't investing in hiring, retention or training of employees. That starts with the goofball at the door with the annoying hat who sends all the wrong messages. He needs a script to communicate issues and address common concerns. They are spending money on entertainment like the Friday band and a drinks tent when they are unable to manage core responsibilities like seating people and serving food in a timely manner. None of my visits could I identify a manager or someone in charge. Christie our server did a good job but was clearly overloaded but did her best. With one of the best location in town and decent food they should be turning the restaurant over a couple times a night but I have walked away and seen others walk away due to a poorly managed facility. Summer is when this place should be making their nut but with the poor management I am predicting they are losing money hand over fist and would bet if they don't get it fixed out of business in 6 months unless they hire some professionals that know what they are doing. On a final note the goofy napoleon dynamite kid working as the host is a disaster, just seeing him when I walk in makes me decrease my expectations walking in the door. read more

First time and last time. Needless to say, we didn't have a lot of high hopes for this restaurant as we heard multiple people talk about their experiences. Most people that I've spoke to weren't happy with their food. They said it was subpar to say the least. Our experience was roughly, the same, our service, friendly, very sloppy and messy with the drinks, leaving puddles of beer on the bar top beer running down glasses, completely unprofessional. As for the food, I ordered the Ruben and it was entirely inedible on the very first bite. I pulled three large ventricles out from my mouth. I did picture these I'm not squeamish in anyway however, it's me that they called brisket looks more like a chuck roast. It wasn't very tasty. It was very vinegary. Bread was soggy could not eat it fell apart no sauerkraut, not authentic in anyway. Husband's burger was overcooked not tasty simple American cheeseburger done wrong. Needless to say, I went ahead and paid didn't feel like arguing with anybody I won't return again. Food ended up in the trash as it was inedible for any of my animals to eat.
